So I heard Neil Gaiman speak of Roald Dahl's short stories, so I looked them up online, but realized I would love an audio version while I had my morning coffee. I've been addicted to them and your reading has made them enjoyable. This was a really good one!
I knew he wrote a few books like James Jiang Peach Matilda and Willy Wonka. But we didn't know gremlins came from him too. It blew my mind. And my Scottish friend was like no duh.
Tysm for always including a synopsis. Very important w/any story but especially with Dahl...never know what you're gonna get. LOL New sub Nashville, TN 👍👏😊
Yes! I never noticed the synopsis, nor the advisory at the beginning. I'm so pleased I can either brace myself or walkaway. It's violence against innocents that affects me. None of that here. ❤
Wow I guess Jerry really knows his stuff lol. I'm going to go out and say that Jerry probably did everything the same but has um... More to work with. Hahahaha!
I know that this is just a story, for entertainment, but taking it at face-value I see some glaring problems with this idea - from a Woman’s perspective: 1. Having sex with Someone without their consent is rape. 2. Women are very aware of things like the natural fragrance of their Lovers/Husbands skin, hair, taste of their semen - as well as the unique noise they make, and the words they unconsciously cry-out when making love. We know the texture, amount and placement of body-hair, and Our favourite dips and curves of Our Man’s body; We know how Our bodies fit-together. We know the shape and fullness of Their lips, and the way they kiss. We know the texture and shape of Their hands. Nope, unless the Woman was drunk or drugged - this wouldn’t work; don’t get any ‘bright’-ideas, Guys, You’d be asking for WWIII kind of Trouble.
Really ♥️ all Roald Dahl childrens stories & some of his adult stories are incredible good. But this one was really distasteful! Maybe I’m just an old prude, never realised it until now.
Thank you, Lewis. Listening my way through some hard nights.
I am very grateful to you.
Happy to help! 🙏

Glad you are enjoying the Dahl short stories. Some of them are very dark, and others are wonderful 👍
So today was the first day I have looked at your page. Im so impressed with this. It's a lot of hard work.
Welcome to the channel. I’m glad you are enjoying the AudioEbooks.
Big shout out to the Jerry's of the world that take the stairs, two at a time! 😂

Glad you enjoy the readings 😀👍
Very good 👍 love Roald Dahl
I didn't know he was so prolific until I found your channel
He is one of the most prolific. And always such a great twist at the end.

I really love this one! Thank you for reading it ;
Hey Kristina. An interesting tale isn’t it..? Wasn’t expecting it. And another beautiful twist at the end.

Very valid points! Thank you for sharing.
Just discovered on UA-cam a short movie based on this story, called "Sex, pipe and omelette "
Whaat a delicious story !
O my… what a surprise! I more ways than one!

Well, this is the farthest thing from Willy Wonka! 🤣👍🏾
Ha ha. The adult fiction definitely takes a sharp turn away from the kids stuff. Such amazing twists at the end tho.
@@lewiskirk8289 yeah. Homeboy got what he deserved. What other adult stories did he write? Thanks for posting btw. 👍🏾
Check out the Roald Dahl playlist. They are all in there. 👍
Please put Matilda back up and boy to plllleeeeeaaaaasssseeee
Here is another version of Matilda. And it looks like I may have to read Boy and Going Solo too.
