I’m 41 and you guys gave me a 🤯 moment. Putting the oil dry down first is genius. That could’ve have saved me a lot work over the years. Be proactive with the inevitable and make cleanup easier.👍

It's a great truck! I'd prefer to keep full use of the bed.
Do some research on the "truck arm" suspension that's already on that thing. It's been used by NASCAR since the '60s!
There is a lot of support for this type suspension. QA1 makes a nice kit for these trucks.

Great C10 Guy's, CST- custom sport Truck.The guy did a great job on the paint match after the conversion.Looks like some rust on the upper windshield frame.

I might need to own that c10 so I can gift it to my grandpa he loves drag racing and because he lost his car in a garage fire 4 or 3 years ago that would be a perfect replacement
The factory truck arm suspension hooks pretty good actually. It's like a long ladder bar. Maybe use some pinion ahimsa to set pinion angle but there is a guy on the old 67-82 truck forum that was running 8s with that set up. QA1 also sells a updated kit that has adjustable pinion angle links.
That was the very first vehicle I ever had fresh out of trade school. I bought it from a friend of the family who raced dirt track cars for $800.00. I absolutely miss that truck! It was really fun to drive. I've always told myself I will have another one. Awesome build you guys will have. I can't wait to see what you all do with it.

Watching Tanner stand there with the screwdriver as the old man looks at the carb had me rolling. Put a nitrous small block in the truck.
Stock bore and stroke 454, bed mounted twins just big enough to not create too much back pressure. Or do that to POPS old faithful white dually as a "gift". Would be neat to see how a combination like that would pull a trailer. Could you make a turbo 454 pull as good as a turbo deisel, is what ive always wondered. Nobody pulling a big car trailer with the C10 😂 cool idea for a build guys cant wait to see what you do!

Love the new truck, big black, twin turbo powerglide, 468 big block with nitrous to spool the turbo up
Also make some src straw hats. I say small block twin turbo with blow threw carb setup. Make it a sleeper either put the turbos in the bed, under the bed or put a tool box on the truck and put the turbos in it.
I think a pump gas NA big block would be perfect for the truck. Plenty of room. Reliable power that will be easy to maintain for the winner. Just a simple low 11 NA truck would be a perfect giveaway imo.

What does Chevy CST mean?
Custom Sport Truck
From 1967 through 1970, the top-of-the-line trim for Chevy C/K trucks was known as Custom Sport Truck, or CST for short. It featured standard bucket seats, matching fully-carpeted cab floor, chrome hood lip and eyebrow moldings, chrome gauge cluster and pedal accents, and many other subtle additions.
I was thinking the same thing. Where's the original buckets😒😒
Its funny I always thought it was short for "custom" learned something today, ST=sport truck.
I have a '68 C10 that I've owned for 30 years.
I enjoy driving it. It rides like a car. Driving it makes me feel at ease.
I recommend an engine that makes more torque than horsepower and an overdrive transmission.
For example a 383 and 700R4 (focus on throttle response, burnouts, and low RPM cruising).
You have a good one there; I'd like to win it.
After this you have to do a f100, love trucks!!

I think anything from a 327 to a 396 would be neat. I do love anything LS, I have a few but for THIS truck I like the idea of a conventional small or big block with just electronic ignition and a carburetor 🇺🇸
SBC TURBO! This is one of my bucket list trucks right here! Dont find too many around that are affordable like the 73-87 trucks, got my 76, love to have a 67-72 parked next to it!

I believe cst was short for custom. Sweet lil truck nice find Billy! I like that falcon that thing is gonna rip when you get it dialed and fine tuned! Should definitely do a big block on this one. Everything is always small block. Maybe a 427 like the one you gave away. That be sweet.
I was going to comment on the same thing as a few others said, the trailing arm with coil springs is a grear setup to start with. As he said above, “NASCAR still uses the same trailing arm setup,” because it works and works well. If the previous owner hasn’t already added stiffer coil springs, when lowering the truck? Then added new stiffer springs, would be recommended. Overall, unless you are making a 1000+ horse power truck, keep the suspension you have you have, even then maybe. (Btw, if you were Not joking, ladder bars are only for leaf springs, not coil springs. 😁) Next maybe box the frame, if not already done. The stock trailing arms are designed to flex for more articulating, don’t mess with that. Old shocks use to suck so those suspensions were made to be flexible, even your frame was meant to bend and flex. Back before modern shocks and better coil springs. But today we want stiffer non-flexing frames and bodies to allow the suspension to handle that area. Many misunderstand the factory trailing arms are better when they can flex with the springs and shocks. Adding solid aftermarket bars are not needed on those era C10, C20 trucks. Nor is a 4 link, again unless you are making a massive high horse power build. Other adds that are, would be front and rear anti-sway bars, if not already there. A thicker front bar if the existing is stock or too thin. Definitely power steering monetization or upgrades over the original factory steering is needed. After that, your engine upgrades and transmission options are the best options for improvements. I am doing similar things on my 1967 C10.

Reminds me of my old 70 chevy short box 4x4 I restored 31 years ago! 383, Dana 60 in the rear, Dana 44 in the front, 410 gears, 205 transfer case, lifted on 35's. She made some pretty serious power back then but I could not find anyone who could build a 350 trans. After the sixth rebuilt trans in 5 years I parted ways with that truck. I absolutely regret letting her go to this day!
The a/c was both windows down and the flip out windows turned in enjoying the breeze. Thanks for the video an can't wait to see it come together

13:14 brother your AC is those quarter vent windows and if you need more air than that there’s a lever you can pull on the kick panel and it lets more air in
Remove the old tank behind the seat. Two 12s will fit no problem. Order the blazer fuel tank. It goes between the frame rails under the bed. Coil overs fix the rear suspension with a $30 kit you can weld in, or make your own. Anything else just ask

Build a nice little 5.3 or 6.0LS with a Torque Storm Supercharger. They are about as cheap as you can get for a Supercharger and they work amazing once tuned right. With the 3:42 gear and a TKX 5 speed you would have one of the funniest C10’s around

Yeah boyyyyyye. This is epic for me I've been watching src for years and you finally got a c10. Can't wait to see what you do with it. I have a 71 c10 and ime in England so parts cost more than a kidney so mines junk but this is going to be awesome I can feel it.

Put the falcons old turbo ls setup in it all refreshed of course, you already know that setup was dependable, turned down enough to run pump gas or e85 be a fun little street combo in that truck
Nice find man. You guys build a lot of small blocks which is wonderful. You ever thought bout finding a 496 Big block out of a Chevy avalanche or Chevy truck. Put a Raylar rebuild kit in it a supercharge it or Turbo's. Probably give you well over a thousand foot lbs or more. Just a idea. Friend in Indiana has a 02 avalanche with that monster motor. He's putting the Raylar kit in. Tell people that motor came stock in some avalanche and they don't believe till they Google it lol.
The SRC10 is perfect and the turbos in the bed with the pipes out the back would be bad ass with a bed cover I’m definitely in for this one

Falcon sounds alot better after the adjustment. When Tommy first drove it I could hear it kinda chugging along at part throttle under power sounded fine but that cruise sounded fat. No expert but been tuning sniper and have learned alot about what a motor should sound like when happy. That c10 is screaming for some white letter tires
