I have the pleasure of being friends with this Family, they are salt of the Earth. Great car people even for Holden lovers. (Sorry Beau couldn't help myself.)
With a single 5/8” and 1/2” ring spanner you could get to nearly all nuts/bolts on the HR. There was no synchro on first gear, so once you were moving, you could not shift back to first gear without stopping. Very limited choice of gear ratios so you needed some skill to properly drive with the crunch box. With practice, you could shift the three on the tree without taking your thumb off the steering wheel.
Sorry for your loss Beau, I know how you feel, my dad passed 5 weeks ago, and he has a 58 Morris minor, not a average minor, 1400 dato with 5 speed, unfortunately it will probably be sold, as much as we as a family would like to keep it, probably not possible, love your FJ ute, very nice

Always love the stories of the people & their cars.
Loved all the cars, but the HR brought back fond memories my dad had a white '67 HR sedan premier with red interior. I do miss it
Like watching your videos, I have a 1960 fb Holden that I am slowly getting back on the road. 😢
It's always about family and how it brings them all together, and that's the way it should be. Great episode, Fletch
What a great looking bettle!!! Dam that camber !
The HR Holden reminds me of a Vauxhall Victor due to its front grille.
What a breath of fresh air!
Thanks for bringing us this episode! :)
