With all do respect, you do need to train quite a lot BEFORE joining
Protector of the commonwealth not really.
@@iamsoldierf8316 depends on your fitness background, like me fat kid that used to eat a lot and struggled up the stairs, now working towards my PRMC and being able to do okay on all the fitness tests, just depends on who you were before you tried training for it

@@Ben-ky2dn yeah i think so
It truly is a state of mind.
It is? I did competitive sports in my youth and had to stop because my body just couldn't take it any longer. Most of the other guys in my team had to drop out as well sooner or later, injury-related. Not because they lacked the spirit. If you don't have an extremely robust and resilient body, then you can have all the determination you want, you won't make it. The body is as much a prerequisite as is the mind.
Ewalds Eiland why are you comparing sports to the marines? They aren't comparable.
PD I think he means that it’s not just a state of mind, you also need a fully healthy body in order to pass.
These videos go hard AF.
I'm so glad we got these lads protecting us
God bless the warrior angels
The royal marine commando's
Good job on recent Recruitment videos
The thing I like about the Royal Marine’s “physicality aspect” or pt program is that you guys actually have a structured program and you have found the training that best works for you to help you do your job better. You do that and exactly that, so by the time a new Marine gets to his unit, he’s probably been prepared very well and is ready to hit the ground running. I would like to see something like this really implemented in the USMC. Only recently have we actually gotten a dedicated fitness instructor type Marine. Do you need that to exercise? No, but you should probably have it to exercise better. Having someone that is formally trained in exercise and physical fitness is a great advantage, instead of just winging it for pt. We don’t climb caving ladders in USMC basic, and we barely climb those ropes you guys climb in your gym. Our Force Fitness Instructors don’t receive as much formal education as your Physical Training Instructors before going back and teaching and leading Marines. We don’t even exercise every day in USMC boot camp, believe it or not. It’s like an every other day kind of thing (and NO, incentive training is NOT a good enough workout to get you ready for war). You guys know what the heck you are doing and I wish the USMC was on that same level overall.
c m0808 I was out at a Georgetown bar having a beer (as in ONE) the night before the Marine Corps Marathon and ended up sitting with a group of Royal Marines during dinner. They were great guys and invited us to stay for a few more pints. I sadly left but the Brits stayed and I found out they SMOKED our USMC team. Very impressed with their preparation.
Darby Heavey I believe it man. I’m not trashing the USMC, I love it. Because I love it, I want it to get better. It seems like the majority of the time, whenever US and Royal Marines meet, they beat us in whatever type of competition takes places. There’s got to be a reason for that. I sincerely believe they have tailor made a PT program that builds up in realistic steps to get their personnel ready for the demands deployment places on Royal Marines. Getting an organized pt program together that prepares US Marines for operational demands in a deployed environment without causing overdue injuries can only help us. It’s about time we got something like the force fitness instructors.
c m0808 I think the Brits put more emphasis on running/rucking than the USMC does and less on upper body strength. No one runs a fast marathon without specific training.
@@darbyheavey406 or they definitely focus on upper body. Have you seen the size of an average royal marine
This is Commandos, its equivalent to Recon or Marsoc. I see you point. But this is Special Operations, not the conventional force.
Very nice video respect from czech republic
I can't wait, I want this!
How'd y'all get on ?
I can’t fucking wait
My PRMC 22nd October 💪🏻
It's not too bad mate just make sure your gym scores are all okay. The Thursday is more mental and leg endurance. Good luck!
Don’t piss off Corporal Orchard, other wise your 1st 1.5M run won’t be a “Warm up”. Just follow his 4 rules and he won’t make it harder than it needs to be. Good luck
How'd it go

@Hammerschlägen M Why would you ask a question like that when I already stated it was the biggest joke? What answer do you expect? Yeah mine is a smaller joke? Sort of a joke? Not a joke.. Your logic eludes me.
i wonder if royal marines got their gba+ training lmfao, amazing recruiting video

Legends. Is recruitment open to Australians?
Maximus yes indeed it is.
I've only met a tiny number of Anzacs in the British military, lots of South Africans and Canadians but not so many antipodeans.
No idea why as we accept you with open arms as you're invariably a top bunch.
@@JammyDodger45 I'd say it might be because of our own military, but then again Canada and South Africa have their own as well

Why does out military continue using dated weapon systems?
I put money on it that an MP has shares in the company that manufactures these AR.
Isn't the L85A3 meant to be a good rifle?
Inferno not from what ive heard.
@@Senseigainz You've heard wrong my friend, the L85A3 is newly developed in the grand scheme of "modern rifles" and has little to no stoppages. Anyone who claims that it does is just meming. It's also extremely accurate at long-short range firing.
The A3 is a high quality weapon, if it didn't have such a bad reputation from its A1 days it would be accepted as a real success in design and capability.
Really working on getting the white boys to join up again after the woke movement eh. Lots of new comers you should be recruiting
