I like this format. As long as there are subtitles in English it was easier to follow. Kind of interesting in that when the video first started, I was looking at the subtitles and listening to the audio. As it got further into the video I found myself hardly looking at the subtitles. There were a lot of words I was unfamiliar with, but I was able to get the gist of what was being said. I can see it getting easier the longer I'm in the Spring course and increasing my vocabulary. I just joined Spring today so I'm not sure how effective its method is, but I think it will be quite helpful. I've been doing a refresher with Pimsleur but I actually think this is going to get me to fluency faster and more effectively. Time will tell, I suppose.
Sí aprendí que John Wayne tenía una propiedad en Durango. Aprendí que se llama “occidente de México” y no “oeste de México”. Además, aprendí el origen del nombre México y que Tlaxcala significa “el lugar de las tortillas”.
I was a little bit more lost than usual. I had to put the playback speed on to 0.75, and there was still a lot of rewinding and pausing. That being said, I can see how this will help accelerate learning Spanish.
Querida Mariana, parece que faltaste a incluir Chihuahua en el video. Está en la lista abajo pero después de mirando el video tres veces, no encontré Chihuahua . . .Por qué?
Interesante conocer un poco de historia de otros lugares. La geografía nunca fue mi fuerte así que me enteré que México tiene 32 Estados gracias a una mexicana que fue mi alumna en unas tutorías de italiano que daba hace mucho (como si nada, hace más de 20 años!!! el 2000!!!) Acá se oyen mencionar nombres de lugares, sin especificar si son Estados o ciudades, por ejemplo: el nombre Quintana Roo, sólo lo había leído justo cuando me dio curiosidad por saber los nombres de los Estados de México y ahora en este video, pero Cancún sí se oye mencionar a menudo por acá ... La gente que viaja va por allá, y a mí me vienen las imágenes de las playas que se en la película de Cantinflas "El bolero de Raquel" :) Se oye mencionar Monterrey, y también en diferentes programas y videos se menciona que ahí tienen un acento bastante notorio, "el acento norteño" como le llaman Sonora, otro Estado de México, se menciona en películas de Pedro Infante y Cantinflas y, como las veía a menudo, se me quedaron, aún sin saber su ubicación. Casi toda mi vida llamé a la capital "México D.F.", pues un tío por parte de padre vivió allá casi toda su vida... yo le escribía y recuerdo que en el sobre ponía "México D.F" ... pero hace unos años, se puso internet en casa y me di cuenta que unos le llaman Ciudad de México y otros CDMX Muchas veces pienso: si mi país es tan diverso siendo muy muy pequeño... ¿Cómo serán México y Brasil? 0.0 Es lo bueno de youtube, si se sabe usar, se ven videos como éste, muy educativos. ¡¡Sigan así!!

Lugares, expresiones, esos detalles a veces se van grabando a través de películas si le llegan a gustar mucho a uno :D ¿Harán un video comparando el italiano con el español? ¡¡¡¡Ooooh eso será interesantísimo!!!! ¡¡Estaré pendiente!!! ¡¡Fue mi primer idioma extranjero que estudié!!
