Despite that the father overheard some of the students agitating amongst themselves concerning why the school authorities don't want to disclose the cause of Whitney's death, he still did not drawup conclusion, instead he has decided to do an autopsy to ascertain the real cause of death. An autopsy will tell what happened if this child has a cardiac condition that was known. According to what the dad said about the 20th of January this could be a arrhythmia as he stated Whitney felt anxious of that occasion. If it's a genetic cardiac condition the other kids will have to be screened as this is what happens here in the UK. Speaking as a cardiac nurse from the UK.

This school has had too many incidents - some public, others not. And it suggests to me that there is a culture of very poor controls and even more worryingly, a lack of transparency with parents. Educating children is about pastoral care and not only about a money-making business. If the state, with poor regulatory controls and corruption in the system, cannot sanction the school, perhaps parents should vote with their wallets and not send their children to a school that is proving that they cannot look after students safely.

Even if this child had an under lining illness, the school was negligent in not having a well-trained first aid personnel especially one with cardio resuscitation expertise.. The heat now is too much. These schools keep the children directly under the sun, don't hydrate them.. the nurse's response was grossly non existence.. she was just inept. Like everyone else, the nurse became a bystander.. May Tiffany's gentle and beautiful Soul Rest In Peace 🙏 Condolence to her family, friends and neighbours.. It is well🙏.. The school was not prepared at all for Emergencies. For the nurse what could she have done? Certify the child dead? That's not her role except there is no medical Dr around in which they said they met one at the centre. For me I think a school as big as Chris land should have done better in terms of emergency preparedness n safety precautions. A few wad of cash can get them first aid responders on standby equipped with CPR n AED with oxygenation while enroute to a facility where the child will get adequate attention preferably a centre with an ICU. I feel for this family and the school. The best way is to do autopsy to know what happened, as much as it’s a painful situation, there are some undiagnosed medical conditions that can cause sudden death even in younger people. The medical examiner would have been involved if it was in developed countries. My only issue with the school is that there was no medical staff provided for the event, there are condition ruptured brain aneurysm which are highly fatal, goes undiagnosed and can kill within seconds. Autopsy is the key that can unlock the mystery!

Nigeria has happened to Whitney Adeniran!! A good government will inspect schools before inter house sports. A good government should have inspected where the food vendors will be , where the children will buy food and all other safety. Nigeria has happened again to someone else. I wish we can vote in good person like Peter Obi.

As a hospital employee, who works in a three large medical centers, why take a dying child to what is essentially a small immunization clinic? It’s frustrating and it doesn’t make sense.

I suspect cardiac arrest but the school did not handle it professionally and moreover, there should have been medical assistance on the grounds. The family must allow autopsy to be done on Whitney. May the Lord continue to strengthen the family at this difficult time. Whitney, may your soul rest in peace.

I feel for the loss of these parents. I believe that there was no foul play because it's fact for someone to faint and not recover due to circulation problems induced by temperature, standing in one place for too long or internal problems unknown to the naked eye. However Nigeria should be making it mandatory for first aid to be taught and practice in every organisation.

Maybe those children stood up for so long in the sun. I remember my school days, when you get tired standing and want to sit down, the teachers will refuse. When children are tired standing, they ought to be allowed to sit down. And again no proper first aid ministered to her. Which is sad for such a school.
