Yes, Seokjin went to an all-boys school. He was already quite popular back in his day, actually 😂

Jin went to that all-boys school. I think that canteen is quite the norm in Korea and yes lunch especially in private schools like this is usually served liked that with one main dish, rice, a drink and many free side dishes.

@3:30 Whenever I see students eating lunch at school in american movies I wonder how good the food is, because in Mexico schools don’t provide food for the students, in any education level. It is expected that the child/teen/student will be sent with lunch/snacks from home. Education is also free here, so, it makes sense that the budget won’t allow for that kind of free service. The schools will usually rent a space to one or more external vendors, in a similar way you see here, and they will be allowed to sell lunches (such as sandwiches, burgers, quesadillas, tacos, etc) to the students, regulated by the school and with some expectations of healthy-ish options. Some kids will bring lunch from home, others will be given money by their parents to buy lunch at school and other do a combination of both (bring lunch and buy a snack). We also don’t usually have lunch halls, we usually have access to the playgrounds at all times while not in class and we will find a spot with our friend group to sit down and eat together and then go play if there’s still time available after having lunch. This is like this at all levels of education in Mexico, from kinder-garden to college. Difference is that in college (and in a few big high-schools) there are tables available.

41:13 bang (방) means room, so in this case it’s literally translated as a ‘PC Room’ (aka PC cafe). Mukbang (먹방) can be translated literally as ‘eating room’. Noraebang (노래방) is ‘Singing Room’ (AKA karaoke)- in these cases essentially bang is a place where you do something
    Hope this helps! 💜
