My thoughts:
Grant you sly fox! You changed the keys and rhythms on some of these too! The hardest one of them all for me to do on my own two feet. But I see through your tricks Grant! I still figured out over 60% of these on the first hearing! That being said, kudos. The hardest one for me to work with is your best masterpiece. It took me a few gos and overnight musings to get most of them, but you mashed everything together so seamlessly in this medley.
The "I Got Rhythm" segment was really clever. A nice clue to get us thinking about how you changed the rhythms on some of the pieces too.
After all these gos, I had a few brain farts but I got about 80% of them. The brackets are those that other people figured out. I don't know how much time you put into this Grant, but I really respect you for this medley. The one thing I've always wished I could do as a classical musician (piano+violin) is to compose. It's been an honour playing "Identify the Piece" with you.
Chopin :
0:09 nocturne op 9 no2 ( im not sure)
0:26 ballade no1 op 23
5:19 étude op 10 no 5 "black keys"
Prat Félix 2:19 Nocturne in E flat Major, the 0:09 had the tempo extremely altered, but sounds like Ballade n 1
1:18 Beethoven's 6th, first movement I believe
Impressive work as always! Some hints for the pieces you don't recognize:
2:24 Bach - this is one of Bach's most famous works, but I slowed it down and altered the rhythm - try focusing on just the notes
2:47 Bach - it is a Minuet in G, but not Anh 114! Also, another Bach piece comes in at 2:49 (in the third measure)
3:33 Schubert - this one is actually not a piano work
4:23 Prokofiev - I really sped this one up
And don't forget the outro pieces!
@@grantwoolard Wow!! Thanks for the hint at 2:24! I figured it out as my mind hummed Bach's Orchestral Suite in b minor! I was suspicious of 2:49 as another piece! Hmmm... what could it be...
Btw, my comment got unpinned because I made an edit to my comment... I was wondering if you could repin my comment when all the pieces have been solved. Thanks!
I'll keep working on the other hints!
You can't believe how much I wanted the 3rd part...

3:45 when Franz Liszt shows up like a boss and steals the show.
Liszt gets revenge on Brahms for causing trouble last mashup.
i especially loved how you mashed everything up at 0:40. absolutely breathtaking
I know! Nearly on the level of Keanu Reeves!
Literally clicked on the video expecting it to be 3 years old, cuz it was just in my frontpage. I am pleased.
Whenever I listen to your mashups, I feel like the composers are clashing with each other, but no one wins because they are all virtuous and unique in their own music
Yt notification: Grantwoolard - Classical Music Mashup III
Me: oh grantwo- OH IT’S GRANTWOOLARD!!
Vanness Valentino My reaction exactly. "Wait, that's not the guy from the class… A NEW CLASSICAL MUSIC MASHUP IS OUT!!
OMG! THIS IS SO AWESOME!!! Can’t even imagine the amounts of hours put to this video!!
Yeah, especially with the heads
The madman has returned. The Classical Mashup II was the very reason I began my jump into this genre. I've never regretted doing so, and to see yet another one of these brilliancies, from the same composer...
4:00 Bloody Liszt, always want to steal the limelight for himself.
I've waited 2.5+ yrs for this! Haven't listened to it yet but... hyped to watch it!!
edit: Absolutely incredible! I even think you managed to top your last Classical Mashup, which was previously my favorite! You featured practically *all* the pieces that hadn't yet been in the previous mashups that I wanted to hear in the next one...
I especially like that Chopin was incorporated a lot more in this one. Also, the parts where the Radetzky March (Strauss I), Military March (Schubert), Waltz No. 2 (Shostakovich), and Light Cavalry Overture (von Suppe) *carried* the flow of the piece were all *mind-blowing!* And the brief feature of Maple Leaf Rag, the Rickroll, and the easter eggs made my day ;)
my only complaint? _smhhh Rick Astley wasn't featured in the "Special Thanks" section at the end lol_
Also...
(work in progress) Here's a list of all the pieces I could identify; I could really use some help with this list from you guys!
0:00, 2:13 Gioachino Rossini - _William Tell_ Overture
0:00, 2:00 Franz Schubert - Military March No. 1
0:05, 0:13, 2:00 Ludwig van Beethoven - Symphony No. 9, IV. Finale "Ode to Joy"
0:09, 0:25, 2:05, 2:19 Frédéric Chopin - Nocturne, Op. 9 No. 2 (although the 4th time this piece appears it quotes a different motif than the previous 3)
0:17, 0:53 Johann Strauss I - Radetzky March
0:21 Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy - "Spring Song" from _Songs without words_
0:33, 0:48 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Eine kleine Nachtmusik (Serenade No. 13 for Strings)
0:38, 2:05 Anton Rubinstein - ???
0:40 Rick Astley - Never Gonna Give You Up (lol nice rickroll)
0:43 George Gershwin - pretty sure this is _I Got Rhythm_ but it is hard to tell from such a short motif... even though Gershwin is my favorite composer! Too bad we only got him for 4 notes.
0:45 Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky - _Romeo and Juliet_ (Fantasy Overture)
0:52 Georges Bizet - Toreador Song from _Carmen_ (This is the "en garde" refrain, which is also quoted in the _Carmen_ Overture, so I guess it could also be that one too.)
1:01 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Overture to _The Marriage of Figaro_
1:05 Johann Strauss II - Blue Danube waltz (haha, clever-- father-son combo here!)
1:08 Richard Strauss - _Also sprach Zarathustra_ (make that a TRIO of Strausses!)
1:09 Scott Joplin - Maple Leaf Rag (I LOVE the incorporation of ragtime!)
1:14 Scott Joplin - The Cascades
1:18 Ludwig van Beethoven - ???
1:20 Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky - ???

1:24 Ludwig van Beethoven - Symphony No. 5, "Victory", I. Allegro con brio
1:31 Sergei Rachmaninoff - Piano Concerto No. 2 in c minor (I'm pretty sure)

1:33 Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky - ???
1:37 Edvard Grieg - Piano Concerto in a minor
1:39 Franz Schubert - ???
1:41 Georges Bizet - I think this is from _L'Arlésienne_ Suite(?)
1:43, 1:48 Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy - ???
1:45 Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart - Piano Sonata No. 11, III. Rondo Alla Turca ("Turkish March")
1:50 Georges Bizet - _Carmen_ Overture
1:50 Frédéric Chopin - ummmm.... is the the "Black Keys" Étude? idk
1:56 Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov - "Flight of the Bumblebee" from _The Tale of Tsar Saltan_
2:00 Franz Joseph Haydn - Trumpet Concerto in Eb Major, III. Allegro (Rondo)
2:09 Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky - ??? (lol I really suck at identifying these Tchaikovsky pieces, don't I?)
2:11 Claude Debussy - Golliwogg's Cake-walk from _Children's Corner_
2:16 Maurice Ravel - _Boléro_
edit: *_DAMMIT!_* The Piano Haven beat me to the punch again! Oh well... lol I guess I'll have to wait until part IV comes out in 2021 :P
0:51 This is my favorite piece in the remix, I hope it doesn't get used for a horror game about killer animatronics to actually have children's souls inside them!
You mean 4:52 because it’s even in the same key
0:00 wow this is very good
1:22
ok this is getting more complex

You also missed Beethoven's 6th at 1:17
@@AndreRhineDavis Thanks I'll update the list! I know I missed or didn't recognize a couple more (the Vivaldi, Rubinstein, Suppé, Joplin bits to name a few).
grantwoolard having some fun:
2:02 Beethoven has 1 big eye
2:16 Rossini has a pair of sun glasses
2:42 nice hat Dukas
3:17 Shostakovich wears a mask
IS NO ONE GONNA TALK ABOUT WHEN RICK ASTLEY SHOWED UP
5:18 that interaction is amazing
2:15 the 3rd note in the second bar is Rossini wearing sunglasses
0:40 Astley is my favorite classical composer :)
1:08 Strauss vs Strauss vs Strauss
Strauss won
Strauss lost
The Strauss Family
@@mikeche7865 actually, Richard Strauss is not of Strauss musical dinasty, such (sur)name seems not to be rare
I love how it's just a bunch of little heads floating around on the staff. I laughed so much!
Everyone is talking about being Rick-rolled but not about Cooler Rossini 2:15
Rossini, the Lone Ranger
and magic dukas at 02:43
ans spartan shostakovich?? 03:17
need more joplin 🤗
Everybody talks about Liszt, but everyone ignores rimsky korsakov and paganini
Who else agrees that Twosetviolin should see this?
Heck yeah!
All 3 of them!!
Someone put it on ling ling 40 hours please
Me
I want to see them try to name as many pieces as they can.
1:42 my favourite part. The paganini and Mendelssohn harmony is so good, and then mozart comes in.
I can relate. No one thought I was coming back either.
this is the key signature for every part of the mashup, if incorrect tell me what is right:
start---0:52 A major
0:53---1:23 E major
1:24---1:40 c sharp minor
1:41---1:59 f sharp minor
2:00---2:18 A major
2:19---2:59 D major
3:00---4:33 f sharp minor
4:34---5:04 F sharp major
5:05---end B major
Well, you're right to some extent, but 1:20 is in C sharp minor. Don't get me wrong, C sharp minor and E major both have the same key signature (number of sharps), but, uhhhh, yeah.
I think it's closer to A lydian than either E major or C# minor (just look at the tonal answers)
Thats cool but why is your pfp of loser
👏

Chopin's face is just Mendelssohn's Mirrored with sepia effect
*CHANGE MY MIND*
What, why and how on earth?
@@jda5814 To be fair, his channel name IS 'Random Things'
3:21 And with those 18 notes, the YLIA memories return all over again
But the one they played in ylia was the rachmaninov arrangement- not kreisler’s original

0:05, 2:01 Beethoven; 9th Symphony, Movement IV

1:23 Paganini, one of his concertos
Thank you for including me, sir!
Oh my god! It's an honor to see you here Monsieur!
Frédéric Chopin Wow... nice to see you here!
How is Amantine? xD
@Aver Y She is doing really good, thank you for asking!
This is exactly what you can do when your parents wanted you to be a classical musician but you also wanted to be a DJ...of course you will also need lots of talent & hard work. Thank you for another successful Mashup & including Chopin’s Nocturne Op9 #2.
Let's just appreciate how much knowledge, time and effort went into this.
So no one's gonna talk about that cute little accidentals on top of someone when it's so dense?
5:47 After completion there was something beautiful
I was ecstatic to see that you gifted us with a third part! This one takes the cake; i find this arrangement to be the most cleverly composited and beautiful to listen to. Congratulations on such an awesome piece. I have no idea how you're able to arrange all of these iconic bits together in a way that creates something almost entirely new. Many medleys are obvious in how they transition between songs, oftentimes not even blending songs together, just going from one to the next. In contrast, I love how you make all of the melodies work with and during one another -- as if the music is talking to each other spanning centuries. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us!
If you ever endeavour to make a fourth part, i would love to see if you could incorporate some Sibelius ;) His second symphony has a special place in my heart
He actually rickrolled us in a *classical* music mashup.
Yep. This *is* classical.
And can you believe he aded the fnaf song and thought we wouldn’t notice?!
2:15 Rossini with the mask is so funny. Great composition/mashup as usual, really another masterpiece.
3:10 i could never imagine that the guy who is known for only composing sad music and the guy who is known to only compose happy music sound so good togheter
3:45 Liszt was like : " If you dont mind, I will be taking your La Campanella"
4:28 Mozart vs Beethoven...
Who will win?
(Ps I also like Chopin so idk why I put this up anyway.😂)
Jessica Yiu 4:39 Suppe be like: lol sup guys
@Steven Sanchez Chopin be like: ha I’m already on top of you. You can’t beat my sostenutos and my preludes.
Also 2:15 why is Rossini wearing sunglasses and 2:43 why is Dukas wearing a wizards hat?
I’m pretty certain the Gershwin is “I got Rhythm”
Quite funny to imagine this guy having a folder full of picts of composer faces.
Still overjoyed when seeing this video on my sub page
I am in awe of your musical talent, Grant. Thanks for bringing us so much entertainment and enjoyment.
