Hey Calvin my friend, you are 100% correct. I will be marrying my Filipina fiancée and settling down in the Philippines. I have been saving for the last 25 years. I am tired of the rat race here in the United States. When I visited the Philippines for the first time, I knew that this were I wanted to retire, and live a nice happy peaceful life. Thank you for sharing this awesome video. Stay safe and healthy my friend and God bless you and your family always.😊 😊 😊 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

There you go again, encouraging people to do good. You’re uplifting folks across the globe, Calvin. I’m planning my retirement and after I spend the first year in Panama, I may give the Philippines a one-year try. 👍🏽
Hi Calvin, your video couldn't have come at a better time, got pulled into a political conversation with a family member yesterday which was emotionally draining and unproductive. Once the Phillipines opens up for travel there is going to be quite a few of your viewers traveling there I believe. You are doing a great job educating me and others about the Phillipine culture and alot of other important aspects to remain respectful and appreciative of that privilege. You are a great ambassador to the Phillipines. Looking forward to your interview with John! Heard you mention him a few times I'm sure he's a "good guy" too.
Calvin you`re the man that had a plan enjoying life in a different land. That`s what I`m striving towards retiring over there when I`m done. Thanks again for another informative vid. Peace and stay safe.

The passing years and my laziness have made me soft, and you have inspired me to get back at it again.

I was so much more relaxed in the Philippines, but my health is a major consideration why I am not there now. As a 100 % disabled veteran, all my medical is paid for here. If I lived in the Philippines, my healthcare would cost me unless I lived in Manila. And I don't want to live on Luzon. @@mikejones5364 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder friend. Also I think your missing the point, (most) Filipinas are beautiful because of the way they are on the inside.
@@johnwales4214 ive been talking to my wife about becoming expats when we retire in a few years BUT she won't leave kids and grandkids so it ain't gonna happen lol. spot on bro , Filipina’s have so many ways to be beautiful, their kindness , that sexy voice , they care so much , becareful in the Philippines the man that chases the women for only their looks , have ended broke , kicked to the curb or worse death , you really don’t want to hook up with the wrong women
@@mikejones5364 “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” I think you’ll find that the definition of beautiful is vastly different from one person to the next. I was merely trying to point out that beauty comes from the character and attitude of a person (for some) as much as it does from their outer appearance, what you consider to be beautiful may not be beautiful to the next person. All I know for sure is I’m married to the most beautiful woman on earth. I genuinely believe that with all my heart. I see a model on the cover of a magazine or any other woman’s beauty to not even come close to my asawa.
Calvin, you are so correct about people all in your business as you know I have the same style of haircut, clean shaving face too. Only exceptions is I am age 58. Plus we are both military veterans. I know Calvin some of these people may think you are putting down America. They do not know actually, you are like a ambassador for America, helping people in the Philippines. Showing that it is free as a American not to be afraid and live anywhere on earth. Your articles are like college courses teaching masses of people. Many other blog sites be trying to inflate prices like in example, you will need like three and four thousand ($3,000 and $4,000) to leave comfortable in the Philippines. So, I am glad you put reality check and tell them a standard of one thousand ($1,000) or more a month to get you comfortable in the Philippines. I said to myself they are trying to prevent certain people from coming to the Philippines by scaring them off. Finally, thanks for the advice of helping others and so great you help more less fortunate in the Philippines brother Calvin.
David thank you brother I appreciate your vote of confidence. My vlogs are to share information that help men and women make a better informed decision. I’m not the Bible on the Philippines nor do I hate America. I simply want to be helpful. Thanks again brother and take care always.
Hey Calvin. I'm considering selling insurance "online" when I get to the Philippines. Can you give me some advice? Were you selling "life insurance" or "health insurance". Thanks.
I helped people with their Medicare health plan options which is health care. I’ve done both and I nonlonger work here. Best wishes it’s a great career if you love helping folks.

There is a way for foreigners to buy land...you can become a filipino naturalized citizen. But it takes like 10 years and you must renounce your native country citizenship so most expats don't do it.
@@calroach1 Sorry brother... What I should have asked, How do you pay for public utility services? By mail or on line? My wife tells me that a person must go to a location and pay an electric bill monthly. Here in the States we pay a bill either by check in the mail or on line. Just curious...

Normally, you can buy tickets when school in the Philippines is out for the summer for a lesser price. If you have a wife in the Philippines let the wife be with you on entry to get a year pass or bring your marriage certificate with you. Its visitors who are single that normally needs a round trip or a ticket else where but you might get refunds on some tickets.

OMG Calvin, when you said you didn't have to be dem, republican, black, white, or whatever it almost made me tear up. Retired military, retired corrections, love my country. Incredibly sad. Can't wait to not be the invisible man. Thank you sir.
Thanks brother I’m glad you can relate.
your a success Calvin, you're living your dream life the way you want to live👍
Love you perspective How do you spell the place where you stay I could not find La Marines beach and Carlos Strava
I live in San Carlis City and the beach is located in Calatrava. Thanks for your feedback and comment.
Nice change of location ! Chilled cat instead of a rushing rat ! Looking good mate 😎
Calvin I have seriously been thinking about retiring there! I will surely be seeking some solid advice! Thank you again!
It's nice to know that the people recognize you are a good guy. That is a reputation and respect that you have earned by action not words. That will always place you a cut above the rest. Honored to feel like i know you Calvin. Great minds think and act alike.
Thanks for your kind words.
I find your videos beneficial, Thanks for making them.
CALVIN YOU THE MAN !!!!!! YOU GIVE IT STRAIGHT AND TOO THE POINT !!!!!!! I WOULD LOVE TO MEET YOU ONE DAY !!!! BUT I'M STUCK IN THE RAT RACE !!!!!!!! ONE DAY BROTHER !!!!!!!!! YOU KEEP WELL !!!!!!!!! It's good to see you on the beach brother! Its all about escaping the rat race! totally agree with you. I'm at the beach all the time. You doing your vlog on the beach is perfect! excellent job. Hey, try getting a stand Up paddle board.. the water is perfect for SUP boarding on!
What's the name of the mountain region behind you? I'd like to research it.
Don Salvador mountain
Im planning to come there this summer to retire
What's the first thing I need to do to get my retirement visa.
Wait until they become available again. The visa is suspended for the moment. First thing is to apply. Thanks.
I was so much more relaxed in the Philippines, but my health is a major consideration why I am not there now. As a 100 % disabled veteran, all my medical is paid for here. If I lived in the Philippines, my healthcare would cost me unless I lived in Manila. And I don't want to live on Luzon. Enjoy your time there, because I loved it there while I was there almost 9 months. Cebu, Bohol, Baccolod, and Batanyan Islands were great.
I'm coming for Medical
8:36 amen good sir. Don't have to deal with being labeled like you would back in America. Awesome Calvin, enjoy your blessings my brotha. We all trying to find our place of Hallelujah!
Good advice! Can’t wait to go there! :-)
I.m 55. And I want to retire in the Philippines. With this woman. And live happily ever after. As they say.. that's my dream. To live in paradise. On a budget. I would like to meet you when I do get there. .
Mega inspiration here Calvin. Thanks!
Preach it brother! I'm on my way... 2 year plan!
I live in Vegas and I rock the same haircut and clean shave like you brotha Calvin ✊
Thankyou sir! You are truly an inspiration. On way way over just as soon as possible.
back in 2008 it cost me 1300 round trip, 2019 and 2020, both times it was 709.00 round trip
Thanks K D have a good night...gonna shovel another foot soon ...lol..I already shovelled 1 foot SINY getting s o cks 6 hours ago at 1 foot ...
Hahaha! Preach my friend!! The relaxed pace is what grabbed me when i am in Philippines!! I actually have time to just be!! Hahaha! Be glad when it opens up for real so i can get back!! Blessings!! :)
You said all the right stuff, bro. Trying to get all the brothers at work to come and check out your channel telling them something to think about. I was born in Cebu City but my family moved to Manila and eventually migrated to US. I hope to meet you someday whenever I get there no plans at this time..Thanks!..#LasvegasUSA
Can't really wait till 2023 to get my early retirement.heading to angeles first then marinduque
You are very inspirational, I always enjoy your videos, please continue with your good deeds 👍
Calvin. My fiance is Filipina. We've been together about 11 years. She is my world. I met her in the middle east. Where I was working security in the Kuwait. My contract expired and I went back to the USA. She's still in Kuwait working as a nurse. She's married. And we are having a very difficult time getting her annulment. .
You will have to get the husbands cooperation. Put word out that you will pay him. That should help. Best wishes to you.
@@calroach1 he doesn't want money. He hasn't asked for anything. He just won't agree
If the hubby got his own woman, it should not be a prob..
Hi Calvin, I love you for all that you are, all that you have been, all that you're yet to be..Ernest Hemingway
On my travels to
Philippines I noticed a lot of expats cut all their off , I just figured the year round heat , made it harder to keep up longer hair
@@mikejones5364 Beauty is in the eye of the beholder friend. Also I think your missing the point, (most) Filipinas are beautiful because of the way they are on the inside.
@@johnwales4214 congrats on your move, I live in Memphis, in the Bartlett area and you are correct about the heat and humidity here lol.
@@johnwales4214 ive been talking to my wife about becoming expats when we retire in a few years BUT she won't leave kids and grandkids so it ain't gonna happen lol. We could live like royalty there between our pension, Railroad pensions and a hefty 401 but unless the kids and grandchildren came, I'll just live vicariously between Calvin and others, the peace of God to you guys, Calvin is an inspiration
spot on bro , Filipina’s have so many ways to be beautiful, their kindness , that sexy voice , they care so much , becareful in the Philippines the man that chases the women for only their looks , have ended broke , kicked to the curb or worse death , you really don’t want to hook up with the wrong women
Sold man. Cant wait to live there for good . Thanks.
Thanks again brother and take care always.
wow lamarings beach..
Great video Calvin!
I been tired of keeping with the jones syndrome here nd the material things, i had enough of it nd i have it all nd had it all back then 25 years ago i just wanna bring my cars nd thats it if i cant i sell them nd buy over there then
.nd i wanna build a home there but im scared to do so cause of the laws so i decided just to rent a home till i feel i can trust a woman over there nd that will take awhile... Thx for your guidance Calvin🙏🏾☝🏾💪🏿❤👑
There is a way for foreigners to buy land...you can become a filipino naturalized citizen. But it takes like 10 years and you must renounce your native country citizenship so most expats don't do it.
@@amanuesis that is not true anymore. You can have dual citizenship and will not take that long..
always good topic you share
Powerful brother!
It's always better to blessing to others. I appreciate your videos.
How do you pay monthly bills?
I earn a passive income from my insurance book of business. Thanks for asking,
@@calroach1 Sorry brother... What I should have asked, How do you pay for public utility services? By mail or on line? My wife tells me that a person must go to a location and pay an electric bill monthly. Here in the States we pay a bill either by check in the mail or on line. Just curious...
I am Filipino also my brother 😎
Couldn't agree more Calvin, I'm totally over the rat race, it's same here in Australia. Waiting for travel to open up.
I have a income of 1100 from the government and sure cant live on it very good here
I cant believe this video would have even one dislike.
Calvin that’s exactly how I feel, I want to get off the hamster wheel and live the life I want. I need you as a friend when I’m out there! I will buy you a beer!
Hey Calvin! Thanks for another informative video. I'm in the middle of the rat race, I'm looking forward to getting out. America is so divided and as you say, they worry about the most insignificant b.s. Little things like holding a door open for a woman can be offensive to some. But the women there are what's holding me back. I just don't trust them. Thank you for opening my eyes.
Calvin, again another informative video.... I would like to come but my health won't allow it.. my heart is bad. But thank you.
God Bless....St.Lukes Roosevelt in Manhattan NYC they specialize in heart
Calvin. Thank you for your info about philippines. In one of your videos you talked about language is one reasons of foreigners don't retire there . Is there school for learning there language in philippines for retired foreigners?
Yes there are many tutors here and online.
There are over 175 languages in the Philippines the two National language is Filipino and English. Most of them are only spoken, living in the land itself you will pick up a lot of words.
Calvin you have convince me to Philippine is the place to spend the rest of my life,I am coming as soon as they open up , thanks to you
Love your honesty. Much respect sir.
You changing the world before Christ come, keep spreading LOVE
Great content! Would like to meet you! Have a ticket in October 👍😎
very inspirational calvin your a good brotha...
Right on Calvin.
I have a piece of land in Zamboanga del Sur but I live in Luzon, clean title any expat thinking of staying and investing in the Philippines. Message me. Thanks Calvin, I enjoyed your videos, a real perspective of the Philippine life in a Barrio..
Thanks for your comments.
Great vid Calvin! I have a story similar to yours brother. Did medicare sales for 8 yrs and just "retired" at 41 this year. Been all over Southeast Asia the last 4 years visiting to see where I'd like to move permanently, but yet to visit Philippines. Got stuck in Thailand like you did in PI lol. Hope to say hi to you and John when I get there..always looking for more good guys in life. Take care and keep living your dream.
Thanks for stopping by brother and we’d love to sit down over a cup of coffee and shoot the breeze!
King Calvin , one more time , hi from Croatia brother
Wow brother everytime you say that I get excited. Croatia!
My filipina was even surprised to know it snowed in Benguet Province which is the province of Baguio.

Just some correction : baguio is a city in the province of benguet. ☺

Bruh I have that in my dream that it snowed in the Philippines. Crazy even Orcas are in our waters now.
I am married to a Filipina and have always needed a round trip ticket. Upon arrival we show our marriage certificate and I receive a Balikbayan visa good for 1 year with no fees!
@@calroach1 One guy simply showed his marriage certificate and was granted entry. It was maybe one year before the C19 started. He was doing mission work...
I sent you 20 dollars cash app. I’ll get there, I’ll make my Philippines destination a reality, thank you so much!
Thank you for your gift and sacrifice brother.
