Esmeralda Ek Chuc I’m sorry I didn’t get to your comment sooner! I did a water fast. A lottt of water. When doing a 7 day fast, I suggest staying home because your body will feel weak. And that’s totally fine! I was feeling confused as well, but you can pray to the Lord and ask him how long you should fast and whatever he place on your heart you should🙌🏾
I kind of relate about the "Repentance" part, I encountered Jesus 2017, but I have been stubborn and been tagging him along in my plans instead of me going for HIS plans. Now last year, I started backsliding, maybe June or July. I started to go back to my old life (Drinking, Drugs, etc.). December 12, 2019, I almost took my life because I was sooooooooo lost. A lot happened, it was supper natural, I was about to take my life, I went home from drinking and just punching anything that gets in my way, and when I was about to enter the gate, my brothers were there, AND I HAVENT TEXTED A SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Then they started hugging me, letting me go "ALL OUT" with my frustration, pains, and brokenness. After I was exhausted, they lay me down in our sofa, and they just started praying and prophesying, then they left me. Now I felt a calm, but still I have this suicidal spirit in me, and my last resort, I grabbed my bible, read it (Bible Cut Style), and this time I was still under the influence of alcohol, my head is still dizzy, I cried out to God, "SHOW ME! TELL ME YOU'RE NOT DONE WITH ME!" , then I read (2 Kings 13:15 Elisha said, “Get a bow and some arrows,” and he did so. 16 “Take the bow in your hands,” he said to the king of Israel. When he had taken it, Elisha put his hands on the king’s hands.) And God spoke, this time, follow me, follow my instructions, pick up the weapon I gave you, take aim according to my word, let ME HOLD YOUR HAND. Then I started crying and I gave myself a rest. After I woke up, I kept digging in his word and he made me FAST. Then I obeyed, I fasted and prayed, without me knowing what I was doing, all I was doing was obeying. Now by the grace of God I'm here, NOT a single day was I able to take my eyes off Jesus, I do struggle specially his cleaning me out, transforming me to be more like Him. When I began fasting, I realized my life was really going south, and I realized GOD doesnt need your left overs, he wants your 100 not your 99. I repented, surrendered, battled with PORN, with fleshly desires. I laid EVERYTHING, it cost me a relationship of 5 years, it cost me my DREAMS, AMBITIONS and PLANS. Believing in Jesus and actually FOLLOWING him are 2 different things. HE OPENED MY EYES AGAIN TO SEE THE VISION. If you're one reading this and your struggling even though you know him, lifestyle check, hows your devotional? hows your prayer life? What food are you eating? From the Word or from the World? GO BACK TO WHERE YOU WENT WRONG, ASK THE HOLY SPIRIT, CRY OUT TO HIM!

As a quite young believer in Christ, i really did not understand the importance of fasting until now and when i now have started fasting it has delivered me from so many things that was bothering me. It is really amazing to fast and spend time with God, to pray in the Spirit, read the Word, discipline the flesh and be free from old thoughts and be so strengthen in the Spirit. 14 min.17-29sec. habitual sin... very timely Pastor David. I am struggling to this part. I'm trying to keep my self from a sin I just keep on doing. I could avoid it, but after a while again finding my self doing it. I tried fasting many times pastor but I feel like I am getting worse. I am fasting but I feel like things are getting too heavy. This topic really helped me a lot. I may write this lecture and memorize it and preach it to my self over and over. I know I am not alone with this, I am sure you have touched many lives especially those who watched the video. God bless you and everyone who is contributing to make this program a successful one. He is depressed and lonely. He says the time he cried out to God that Allah answered him and took away an evil desire he had. He converted from atheism to Islam. His family is Muslim, on his dad's side, while his single mother raised Pouria as an atheist just as she is. I believe there are NOT multiple ways to God. I believe Jesus is the only way. I think #15 is what fasting is all about. All 14 point is in #15. Its not about the strength of the demons, but its all about your wickedness and lack of faith, we fast to be renewed from glory to glory. Fasting is all about us submitting our flesh to the will of God. Everything else that we need or want its in Christ already given to us, when we fasting we emtying our selfs so we can have room for Christ in us. Everything else we do, we do by the power of the Holy Spirit, not because we been fasting. Fasting is just a tool, to obtain what God has for us. Fasting along have no power, in tell Holy Spirit comes... remember people in the bible who fasting 2 time a week... yes real power is in Holy Spirit, and fasting just a way for as to humble ourselves, to receive grace to be used by God. There are many ways to fast you knew that? There is the Daniel fast: Eating nothing that you desire, the 'not so delicious food' and praying 3 times a day. There is also a fast, which in you do nothing else than reading the Bible, praying, worshipping and canceling every other activity in the days your fasting (like shutting off all the distractions). Don't be sad or discouraged or angry with yourself, God knows what our hearts desire, if you really wanna grow in the spirit, He's gonna take care of that sister! God bless you

11:45 into the video... Matthew 17:21 is not contained in the oldest and best versions of Gospel manuscripts, therefore verse 21 is deleted out of many modern bible translations. Verse 21 was incorporated in manuscripts that came later down the timeline. Therefore verse 21 I think should not be used. It seems to have been borrowed from Mark 9:29 but Mark leaves out the word "fasting".

im sorry but your wrong it says my prayer returned unto my own busom meaning his prayer was answered, his prayer didn't stay in heaven but it returned to him he was granted what he asked for.

Read Esther 4:16 these people fasted three days without eating and also without drinking.... If you want to fast, fast twelve hours in a day without eating food and without drinking water .....
But why is it that I feel hungry when I fast . I can’t concentrate on the word of God or anything and I get aggressive and that’s when I get discouraged and I give up. I don’t understand because fasting should be fun and meaningful but with me it’s always like that.
But when I watched videos about it, the guy said that it’s between God and yourself, and he said to pray about it. I need to start praying about it too.
What if you haven’t yet established enough self control to pray faithfully everyday, let alone fast. Shouldn’t you first learn and grow in prayer, and being faithful in that before attempting to fast??
I'm with you, everything has his time. Yet.. Self control and spiritual development, those are fruits and gifts from the Holy Spirit (check galatians 5), so I guess: Receive first the Holy Spirit of God and be born again, than the fruits of the Spirit will begin to manifest. When you hear the Voice of The Lord speaking to you about starting a fast, you will have to do it. He knows what happens around us in the spirit, he knows what lays ahead of us in the future. So always yield to the Spirit of God, is the clue. Without Him = No fasting for you buddy. God bless you!
Im sure fasting will help you to learn how to pray. Its like before you sign up for an army, you didn't have any of the habits, that you will obtain while you are in the military. So if you don't have a habit to pray, by saying no to food, your own body will remind you about food/prayer, here is one interesting verse. Mk 3:27: "But no one is able to enter a strong man’s house and steal his property unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can thoroughly plunder his house." The reason why is so hard for us to pray is because the "strong man" our flesh is realy strong, to tie him down we are fasting, by doing so our spirit getting stronger and overcomes the power of a "strong man". After that we/ our body will become a house/temple of the Holy Spirit and as long as our flesh is tied down we will have victory after victory, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Be blessed. Love.

I am a Christian but my mother, and brothers are not. However, I have let them know that I'd like them to join me in several fasts next year. What do you say about people who are not believers fasting to get to know the truth more? If you know what I mean. Basically would it be beneficial for them to fast, pray and read the word although they are not christian?
Interesting situation you got. As long as they understand what fast is and what is it for then I see no reason why not. Other wise its a healthy lifestyle, they will be blessed anyways.

God just answered my prayer. I prayed before that you would teach us about fasting since I lack in knowledge about this and now here it is! This is so timely as the Lord encouraged me to pray these times. It is almost Christmas day but God chose these days.

14 min.17-29sec. habitual sin... very timely Pastor David. I am struggling to this part. I'm trying to keep my self from a sin I just keep on doing. I could avoid it, but after a while again finding my self doing it. I tried fasting many times pastor but I feel like I am getting worse. I am fasting but I feel like things are getting too heavy. This topic really helped me a lot. I may write this lecture and memorize it and preach it to my self over and over. I know I am not alone with this, I am sure you have touched many lives especially those who watched the video. God bless you and everyone who is contributing to make this program a successful one. Could you please pray for the salvation of my dear Muslim friend, Pouria Ali Koushesh? He is depressed and lonely. He says the time he cried out to God that Allah answered him and took away an evil desire he had. He converted from atheism to Islam. His family is Muslim, on his dad's side, while his single mother raised Pouria as an atheist just as she is. I believe there are NOT multiple ways to God. I believe Jesus is the only way. I pray Pouria can receive a heart of flesh and meet Jesus!

Its not about the strength of the demons, but its all about your wickedness and lack of faith, we fast to be renewed from glory to glory. Fasting is all about us submitting our flesh to the will of God. Everything else that we need or want its in Christ already given to us, when we fasting we emtying our selfs so we can have room for Christ in us. Everything else we do, we do by the power of the Holy Spirit, not because we been fasting. Fasting is just a tool, to obtain what God has for us. Fasting along have no power, in tell Holy Spirit comes... remember people in the bible who fasting 2 time a week... yes real power is in Holy Spirit, and fasting just a way for as to humble ourselves, to receive grace to be used by God. There are many ways to fast you knew that? There is the Daniel fast: Eating nothing that you desire, the 'not so delicious food' and praying 3 times a day. There is also a fast, which in you do nothing else than reading the Bible, praying, worshipping and canceling every other activity in the days your fasting (like shutting off all the distractions). Don't be sad or discouraged or angry with yourself, God knows what our hearts desire, if you really wanna grow in the spirit, He's gonna take care of that sister! God bless you

Matthew 17:21 is not contained in the oldest and best versions of Gospel manuscripts, therefore verse 21 is deleted out of many modern bible translations. Verse 21 was incorporated in manuscripts that came later down the timeline. Therefore verse 21 I think should not be used. It seems to have been borrowed from Mark 9:29 but Mark leaves out the word "fasting".

If you want to fast, fast twelve hours in a day without eating food and without drinking water .....
But why is it that I feel hungry when I fast . I can’t concentrate on the word of God or anything and I get aggressive and that’s when I get discouraged and I give up. I don’t understand because fasting should be fun and meaningful but with me it’s always like that.
You can possibly try a different method of fasting. Such as a Daniel fast, that’s not completely abstaining from food, but from certain types of food.
But when I watched videos about it, the guy said that it’s between God and yourself, and he said to pray about it. I need to start praying about it too.

What if you haven’t yet established enough self control to pray faithfully everyday, let alone fast. Shouldn’t you first learn and grow in prayer, and being faithful in that before attempting to fast??
I'm with you, everything has his time. Yet.. Self control and spiritual development, those are fruits and gifts from the Holy Spirit (check galatians 5), so I guess: Receive first the Holy Spirit of God and be born again, than the fruits of the Spirit will begin to manifest. When you hear the Voice of The Lord speaking to you about starting a fast, you will have to do it. He knows what happens around us in the spirit, he knows what lays ahead of us in the future. So always yield to the Spirit of God, is the clue. Without Him = No fasting for you buddy. God bless you!

Im sure fasting will help you to learn how to pray. Its like before you sign up for an army, you didn't have any of the habits, that you will obtain while you are in the military. So if you don't have a habit to pray, by saying no to food, your own body will remind you about food/prayer, here is one interesting verse.
Mk 3:27: "But no one is able to enter a strong man’s house and steal his property unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can thoroughly plunder his house."
The reason why is so hard for us to pray is because the "strong man" our flesh is realy strong, to tie him down we are fasting, by doing so our spirit getting stronger and overcomes the power of a "strong man". After that we/ our body will become a house/temple of the Holy Spirit and as long as our flesh is tied down we will have victory after victory, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Be blessed. Love.

I am a Christian but my mother, and brothers are not. However, I have let them know that I'd like them to join me in several fasts next year. What do you say about people who are not believers fasting to get to know the truth more? If you know what I mean. Basically would it be beneficial for them to fast, pray and read the word although they are not christian?
Interesting situation you got.
As long as they understand what fast is and what is it for then I see no reason why not.
Other wise its a healthy lifestyle, they will be blessed anyways.
