I think that’s the point of the scene. To demonstrate how everyone has something good to offer but sometimes life leads you down paths where you don’t know your opportunities until they’re behind you.

Gale honestly is a really important part of this series as he shows that not every criminal is scary and he shows us that even if your meeting all of his expectations you won’t be enough for Walt and he also shows us Jesse’s breakdown of having to kill him. Weirdly important guy
I think you're missing an important detail here - Gale was a good chemist. So good in fact that Walt realized he will be able to perfectly replicate his process therefore rendering Walter expendable to Gus. That is why he started to become increasingly critical of Gale, trying to get rid of him. It wasn't because he was jelaous of Gale. I'd dare say he considered him an equal.
It wasn't about Walter's expectations, it was about Gus. Gus was already planning to kill Walter once "his business was finished" and the only way Walt could survive was by being Gus's only option for stable meth production

Genuinely one of the best moments in the saga in my opinion. It is just such a pure moment that shows a lot of nice characterization and entertaining “worldbuilding”
As someone in the field of coffee, it’s not inaccurate but the simplest way for coffee flavour is, heat over time equals flavour. The biggest player is water and not the beans. Getting water to the right ppm and ph is more important but w/e
I never had good coffee till i went to detroit. I stayed at a bed and breakfast and this SWEET little black woman who made the coffee and the breakfast just blew me away. I rarely compliment people. She made these tiny scramble egg cups too. They were bite size discs of eggs . When i approached her and asked about them and the coffee. She said i made her day. She called them her splashes of flavor. I said i thought they were butter at first lol😂. Can i have more?! YES YOU CAN. The coffee? Tasted like it was a creamy milk shake. With chocolate cocoa and nuts. I explicitly asked if she flavored it. No! Was just coffee... best coffee ive ever had. That “vacation” was the best moment of my life. I studied van gogh for 24 hours in the museum. Im so grateful for that trip

In school a lot of the nuclear Technicians were also chemist. Honestly if you did it it was hard to separate the two. Anyway they had a similar set up which was actually mostly for waterfiltration. But it did make amazing coffee. Mostly focusing on PH. Through different methods of filtration.
I did this using my 3D printer as the heat source. He’s absolutely right. Also try to use beans that were ground in the last 30 days. Coffee does go bad. Keep it in the freezer and use it while still cold.
They shouldve played this episode on april 1st. Ended the scene after that line, played credits and acted like the series was over. If they wanted to really play it out, they could have had played anotber tv show for 15 minutes before coming back to finish the episode. This wouldve been on of the best april fools pranks done, especially with all the hyoe this show had at the time.
The perfect coffee if turned into a machine, with decent pattent, could either be used to sell machines, or to start huge chain of coffee shops. Both would turn it with someone like Gus doing bussiness side of things to a mega corporation at some point.
Y'all saying they'd be more successful with a coffee empire really need to start using your brains. He's using common coffee to make it. It's HOW he makes his coffee that makes it so good. You can't mass produce that reliably, ever.
