The 'For Violence' series of tracks have always been a firm favorite of mine, right back to the original 'Intelligence for Violence'. The second I heard that I knew Nishki's family were no longer messing around. They just have that unfortunate soundtrack trait of only being played once or twice.
Though 'The Place where I used to be' is my favorite out of all these, perfect for one of the most insane battles in the whole series. Kiryu - after making it crystal clear hours beforehand that he didn't want to get involved in another Tojo Clan mess - rocking up in his taxi and swearing to take on his old clan single-handed to stop a full scale war breaking out is always memorable. It's one of the biggest fight he's had in his life to that point, and he pulls it off, even as they keep pouring more and more bodies into it and coming after him with bigger and bigger weapons, right up to rocket launchers. And the shot of Kiryu just casually turning himself sideways to avoid two rockets fired at him and looking back at the massive explosion as though to say 'You missed' will always be one of his most badass moments.
The name of the theme too references that this is Kiryu back in his element, despite having been out of the Yakuza officially by several years at this stage, but he's probably reveling in that old instinct of crushing your enemies with ease.
Minion:What’cha lookin’ at, boss
Blonde Guy: There’s a bigass clan rest in my face and it’s pissin’ me off
Blonde Guy:Well, technically it’s the second time But it still pisses me off
Ideal For Violence me beloved
PURE MALICE IS THE MOST PEAAAKKKKKK THEME DAMN
Its sad that camouflage only plays like twice, cause it really was a unique sounding track! Honestly same with barracuda, i feel like they shouldve had both play when youre having to fight through the ganzhe and barracuda alliance to get to night square, like specifically the parts where youre forced to stop and fight a group. Idk palekanian dance didnt fit the best with those parts imo
Camouflage felt like a pretty typical song until 1:07:00. The little quiet beat playing in the background helped me like it more.
@@RubyFridays after the meeting with Wong Tou, it made more sense why the song is called Camouflage.
Wonder what took this vid so long, there are far too many gangs and factions for this video NOT to be made
You forgot "Standoff" from Yakuza 6 which is used as a theme for the Yomei Alliance.
Does Minami's theme kinda count? It plays when you fight majima family along with minami.
What about Appassionato for the Omi Alliance in 7
Seconding this, Appassionato plays several times when dealing witht he Omi Alliance/Tokyo Omi Alliance. Even before the Dissolution Banquet iirc
My personal opinion is that it's more for the set piece in the Omi HQ rather than a theme representing the Omi Alliance. When fighting them in the story, Asphodelos usually plays, with appassionato only playing in the fight before the big sword guy's fight outside otohime land, and the Omi HQ dungeon
@@RandomCollection04 But then by that logic, why did you put in Treachery from LAD Gaiden in? Wouldn't that also be considered a "set piece in the Omi HQ" theme rather than one that represents them?
the lack of 6 is weird but I cant think of anything, but the lack of 7 is just wrong. Others have pointed out Omi, but what about Geomijul?
I decided not to include any tracks from 7, as most tracks affiliated with factions or groups are relegated to long battles or dungeons, rather than boss themes
@@RandomCollection04I can understand that logic for Seiryu (though I kind of disagree), but I remember the Geomijul had their own battle theme and not a long battle theme
@@colfdralegend the theme associated with the geomijul only plays when battling them in their hideout. Every other encounter with the geomijul use generic themes, same with the Omi and Seiryu
@@RandomCollection04 huh idk, that seems a bit wack - especially for Omi - and I feel like you could apply that to some other tracks here. But I guess there is some logic there, and I’m not the one posting hundreds of Yakuza tracks online, so I’ll trust it makes sense to you and stop bugging
I imagine the change in game genre makes organizing the type of tracks kind of weird, like how you don’t seem to consider Tendo a final boss even though if you base it on JRPGs, I’d say he should be considered so
where is rock it fix it rock it from yakuza 7 and gaiden?
I consider that more of a dungeon theme than a faction theme, as the Omi Alliance are fought before and after the dungeon using other themes (except for the fight outside otohime land)
I don't know what's funnier Shimano's face being covered by the logo or Nishiki Family
mike wazowski'd out of their own family lmao
