  • DT Royal Construction goes into detail how they braced this Insulated Concrete Form home. With over 400' of ICF wall up to 24' high, this was a challenging build for Versa Homes in Langley, BC.
They used rolling scaffolding to build the ICF walls. And then installed our Zont bracing system to straighten and provide a walkway.
The concrete was placed over three separate days to achieve the heights required, and to build the walls off of the floor system.

It seems like a pretty reasonable system of bracing even if it sounds like it was named Dr Seuss.
What are the costs like vs renting conventional bracing? I know part of the pitch is zont bracing can be disassembled afterward and the wood can be used in the house later. But it seems in my mind a lot of man hours to assemble it vs a lot of the metal bracing.

Labor is everything for sure. But the logistical nightmare of getting traditional steel braces to site is a bitch. Also they do not allow you to stake the wall in position, and transfer all of the scaffolding loads to the Monopour Side Supports.
