That was an amazing explanation, love your videos! Do you have a set of books that you would recommend to young entrepreneurs? Already reading "The Lean Startup". Thanks for the video!
@@Малинаанилам-ц5д That's a great book! Also read Zero to One. Also watch all of Slidebean's Startup 101 series and check out the Dreamit Dose series on UA-cam. Thx for watching!
You did great, Steve. That is great. Imagine you guys creating a movie relating the journey of en entrepreneur, from his idea, to his first fundraise, to his company being big. A real movie. A film. Would be amazing. 45mn or 90 ;-)
Excellent. I appreciated that you emphasized what the main effort and focus should be: build a great business that's creating value for your customers. And, as you say, just keep this information in your back pocket. I hadn't realized, for instance, that it is 90% that end up in M&A. Huge number.
Saying investors in the startup world are looking for "3x" sounds like a MUCH smaller multiple than I've ever come across before. I believe investors will typically be looking for at least 10x returns in startups.
That’s the opposite of my point. Buliding to flip is not a great idea IMHO. Build to win and dominate as your “north stars”. That’s how you increase your odds of getting acquired.
Wonderful stuff @Caya!!! I'm a soon to be entrepreneur from outside the US but I've always wondered how do I take the business from here to States allowing me to expand it while permanently residing in the US, basically transferring the business from here to there. And does it need to be up and running on the ground for me to do that or I can still do it even when it's still in idea stage?
I was contacted not too long ago by a gentleman offering a free "determine what your business is worth" workshop in the Washington. DC area. That might be something to look for in your area.
When the company is not completely shut down (a “crash”) vs a soft landing where most team members get a job, the company and IP have a new home, and investors may get some $ back.
Research has been my secret weapon to making it this big in the general market. Its up to you to look into that avenue, find out how those markets work and find out which seems best for you. Take advantage of the foreign exchange rates to earn money and asset investment (spending on assets such as real estate and cryptocurrency in which equity and value will then grow. Will surely! I believe trading opportunities should be available to every one at every point in time. As for me, I trade under active super guide, on sponsored and insured assets carefully analyzed by Bilal Benjamin

Does the approach of building a company changes if the intention is to get acquired? How to increase the odds of getting acquired?

You can do it at any time. Just watch for tax issues. Consult a good attorney and/or accountant familiar with the issues from your home country.
Would love to see the mechanics with real world examples/case studies.

Can I work with yall? I have vc and other investors confusing the heck out of me.

90% of startups are acquired as long as they have a monetization event? Source?
He meant that 90% from the 10% of the startups that survived & succeed (so 9% of them getting bought, while the 1% IPO)
So... what is Soft Landing?
When the company is not completely shut down (a “crash”) vs a soft landing where most team members get a job, the company and IP have a new home, and investors may get some $ back.
