"People seem shocked when faced with the consequences of their actions" This reminds me of one of my favorite phrases, "Everyone has a plan until their punched in the nose."

If you fake a kidnapping, you should not be surprised if you get plugged by the people around you, especially if you're from the south. In the South people take their kids very seriously. I don't know where this lady grew up but man I don't think she would last over here.

There's just some thing you don't joke about. Kidnapping is one of them, and I'm shocked it isn't against some TOS.

@@KipReacts I'm not a violent person by nature. But my instincts of right and wrong are very strong and children are a no-go. Whether it's in politics or personal attacks faking it kidnapping would not fly over here. The public outcry from just the local community about the faking it would lead to felony charges.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing half the time watching this. She's one of the most despicable people I've seen that surrounds herself with a bunch of yes men. And she apparently relishes in the hate she gets because "attention equals good" to her. Just awful.

There is the philosophy that any publicity is good publicity. I inherently disagree with this philosophy, but more often than not we see streamers and content creators get rewarded for doing things like this with engagement and increased numbers.

A kidnapping children "prank"!?!?! MA'AM! There are MANY men like me who would immediately interject without considering restraint. We would see rescuing a child from abduction so paramount that what happens to you is not going to enter our minds until after the threat is neutralized. There are many people who will kill you, intentionally (depending what part of the world they wont face consequences), even after they *know* it was a prank, because that is a line too far to mess with something as precious as a child.
Frankly, if you try to kidnap a child "as a prank", I will *never* believe you that it was a prank. I am going to believe "it's just a prank" is your exit strategy for your failed attempts at actual kidnapping.

Involentary Manslaughter. I'll read more about it after posting, but as far as I am aware of, laymens terms, it's basically if your careless actions lead to the death of another person, intended or not.
Edit: Just read up on it, and it's pretty much what I said, but definitely unintentional. Still criminal.

Obviously the old woman chose to jump in, but she was also told by the streamer that she wouldn't be alone, they'd jump in together, etc. So she probably factored that into her decision, thinking it'd probably be safe if this young and presumably in-shape girl was swimming with her. She even says she can float, but not swim, as well.
This streamer acted with what I think is pretty indisputably "reckless disregard for human life" by goading a woman who said she couldn't swim into swimming, lying to her that she would go in with her, and then abandoning her in the water. In most jurisdictions, that would be a manslaughter charge, as best as I can tell (not a lawyer). One quibble is that usually manslaughter charges require them to be occurring during the course of some other illegal action, but there is a concept of just plain "criminal negligence" which generally applies to anyone who "acts in disregard of a serious risk of harm that a reasonable person in the same situation would have perceived". This overlaps with criminal recklessness in some jurisdictions, so your mileage may vary with that, but yeah I think there's a real chance this old lady and her family sue the streamer in civil court for the various civil equivalents of these crimes.

Just so you know: it wasn’t *just* painted on pants she was wearing. She was wearing a bikini bottom and painted on pants over it.
Still bad, but not as bad as you thought.

Fun fact I've learned by following an ex con who talks in length about his experience, and the environment a lot of prisons have, and he's said a multitude of times that in prisons if you mess with children, elderly, women, or disabled people and they know about it you are immediately on the hit list of a lot of people, and if you don't show your paper work they will automatically assume you're a chomo, or have some kind of funny charges on that sheet that you don't want someone knowing about. A good example of this that I highly recommend (for adults of course) is the story of katy's revenge where a man did things to young girl, went to jail, and her cousin who was in jail for battery TATTOOED HER KATY'S REVENGE ON HIS FACE, and the C.O's didn't even try to stop him.

    24:02 , No, Manslaughter is specifically for deaths caused through accidents, which can include acts through negligence. This would not have been manslaughter, there videographic proof that this woman;
    A, could not swim,
B, made the streamer aware she could not swim
C, the streamer harassing her until she jumped in
D, the streamer leaving her when she realizes the woman can actually not swim.
If she hadn't gotten rescued and died, then that streamer would have been guilty of TEXTBOOK 3rd degree murder, at the very least, if not second degree. "she told me multiple times but i didn't think she was telling the truth" probably isnt going to fly to a jury though.
(for clarification, Manslaughter is accidents through your fault that results in deaths, 3rd degree murder is intention to harm resulting in death, 2nd degree is spontaneous attempt at specifically killing someone, and 1st degree is when you have planned for a while to kill that specific person.)

if she had remained at the scene, there is a high likely hood that she could have been charged with attempted murder, which she 100% deserves for this

I would say there is something sobering about facing consequence for your actions, but just because you no longer feel high on say the happy chemicals you got from trying to convince someone to do something fucked up, even in jest, you may no be truly sober just now in the fight, flight or freeze response even emotionally .
like the morbid humour of asking someone to jump in front of a train and asking is not only easier than pushing them, it's occasionally separated from the fact that you would still be responsible until it happens but just because you don't really want it to happen, people have agency of their own and may not be in the right place.

How is this not enough examples of 'reckless endangerment' to send them to a prison until they're starting to get grey hairs? It's 1-10 per charge depending on where you live, what the circumstances were, and how the judge feels. I'm guessing an internet idiot doing it over and over means more than 1 year per.

I would’ve felt different if she had just asked the woman to jump in, since she wouldn’t have known. Instead, she spent ALL THAT TIME lying and convincing her, despite her being told by the woman that she couldn’t swim, when the streamer could’ve just stopped and left. I’m NEVER hoping that she EVER actually kills anyone, but I am hoping that something truly serious happens to make her snap out of her wild delusions. Lastly, THE FACT THAT SHE LEFT because she was TOLD TO, not out of embarrassment or anything like that, just makes it EVEN WORSE, in my opinion.

Bro, guessing you didn't understand full context. the lady is obviously mentally ill or under some influence (and maybe homeless )and the streamer easily coax her for 10 minutes. That is the real issue.
