Editors refused to let him do interior art on Batman or Detective Comics. Bob Haney let him do it and even gave him a long leash on the graphic design of the interior panels. This also worked out since Haney's Batman stories didn't have camp in them and actually had some stories with crime syndicates. 59, 64, 67, 68, 69, 70 and 71 had Batman team ups, but 74 where this volume starts is where it became exclusively a Batman teams up with comic.
This omni bus doesnt look exciting. I started collecting the Golden Age omnisbuses and those are a work of 40s art!
