- World War 2 history is taught in virtually all schools throughout the world. In western countries we focus mostly on the Battle of Britain, D-Day & the Normandy Landings plus the horrors of the concentration camps. Little space in textbooks is given to what happened on the eastern front, apart from perhaps the Battle of Stalingrad and the siege of Leningrad.
Until I came to Russia, I had never even heard of Kursk, let alone the epic tank battle which took place nearby.
Join Kursk native Oksana and I for a walk around to see how the city looks today, before we drive down to Belgorod where Natasha takes over.
Great to see you back,pal.. missed these programmes,,,what surprised me ,no one had heard of Operation Citadal ?
Неожиданно увидеть Белгород )))
the moment you say 'tank' around 1:48 it's a tank destroyer right behind you ) like, in a way it's literally the opposite of tank (even if built on one's chassis)
But why combine 2 cities in one video? I bet theres plenty to show in one city per video ❤
That's a fair point, Alexandra - we decided to add Belgorod at the end because the massive Kursk war memorial is in fact much closer to Belgorod (& we flew back to Moscow from there) !!
@@theotherway9498 i like the channel, thats why i would love to see more ❤
The women are gorgeous. Oksana and Natasha are beautiful indeed.
Вы посещали Курчатов? Отличный город
I am from West too, and we definitely have learned about battle at Kursk! (And Soviet side of the war - both the bad and good)The biggest tank battle…
which part of the West are You from?
it's over.
❤❤❤
Wow were did you found this very beautiful girls!
Fortunately there are plenty in Russia (although these two are extra special) !!
I came to Warwick how Kursk looked like before Ukraine invaded it.
Kursk is Russia!!!
@@mariashirokova5730 No it's Ukraine now
@@masterbeethoven8209 No, but I accept your wish to hate Russia. I have a Russian friend in Kursk und she lives here because Kursk is Russia. Only some villages are under ukranian control. But look better at Pokrovsk directions
@@mariashirokova5730If by Russian Logic that Crimea is Russia, then Kursk and Belgorod are Ukriane. Look at an ethnic map of Russia.
Totally failed topic. You just show tanks and war memorioals. Hey it‘s Russia, it‘s everywhere. No words about beautiful old towns, culture, food, streetlife.
xDDD
