I liked the bodyguard cover. Stark gets attacked, Iron Man shows up and you assume he got Stark to safety. Stark also used LMDs pretty early on so he and Iron Man could be in the same place at the same time. Being a Stark employee explained where the tech came from and it also added a neat dynamic where the characters would react to Iron Man differently than they would Stark. He was a co-worker so they'd say things they weren't comfortable saying to Tony. It was kind of like super hero undercover boss. As someone who grew up with that character I really miss it sometimes.
Yep, both Iron Man and Batman's bodyguard/gear supplier covers make perfect sense. They're billionaires, why would anyone even consider they're fucking around fighting Jokers and Mandarins anyway?
Especially when they can have stand-ins/LMDs/empty armors to dispel any suspicions easily.
Doctor Doom if nothing else is a showman... love all his appearances, such a great villain

All I want when hearing Iron Man and Doom meet king arthur is for it to be King Arthur and his knights from the Monty Python movie. Just imagine Doom going up against the killer rabbit and running away like a coward.

I feel Iron Man vs. Dr. Doom was long overdue, but worth watching for! The only time they previously fought was in Super Villain Team-up #9, and briefly in the Crossover Issue Avengers #s 154-155. I remember in SVTU #9, Doom defeated Iron Man, since Iron Man was in a weakened condition. I always wanted to see them both in a battle to the finish!

Doom literally can't remove his armour since they are burnt onto his skin, makes me wonder whether he has ever taken a bath or shower. I hope there is some magic that takes care of hygiene.
He can remove hos armor and has taken a shower in John Byrne's run.

When Doom and Tony are working together in the past, I imagine some 90s montage scene with some kind of team-up music going on in the background. The kind you would always see in Revenge of the Nerds and so forth

I know that the Fantastic Four have more than one villain that they deal with, but the only one that the general public associates with them is Doom. You take Doom away from the Fantastic Four franchise, you might as well just give Marvel the Fantastic Four too.

I was more hoping they'd thanos him end credits reveal then build up to it Doom is that level of villain but I do concede that the movies are treating these guys as expendable. Truthfully I'm not a fan of the fantastic four or Galactus Everytime he's defeated it feels contrived to me. I'd prefer the shiar to skrulls. Saying that I'm more DC then marvel well researched in both but personal preference etc

I have the whole Rhodes being Iron Man run. It's really interesting. Rhodes eventually went crazy, and Tony had to take him out and become Iron Man again. And Stane died in that run as well. Great stuff

Tony's retconned love of Arthurian stuff predates Bendis. As far back as the horrible crossing event where he has something codenamed Siege Perilous and even before that he starts using tons of Arthurian inspired names for things.

I have the original issues of this. It's a great arc. Only 2 issues. A beginning, middle, and end. Just a nice short story.
I borrowed this run a while back and was so glad I didn't waist my money on it! Alfred dressing up as Batman was the only enjoyable part.
Big Shots was a pretty cool show. I kinda miss it. Just me? Oh well.
Now that Dark Knight 3 is done I can't wait to see everybody's reaction to what happens
To be fair, people do see Iron Man and Tony Stark together all the time. I don't see a point in it because the point of the alter ego is generally to either avoid attention or protect loved ones, making the two so close defeats the purpose
