  • Taking care of your rechargeable batteries is actually simpler than most people think, and if you just use your devices normally, they'll be fine... mostly. These tips can help you extend the life of your batteries a little bit though!

About Lithium Polymer... he really should have mentioned it's biggest downfall... it will be rendered completely useless if fully discharged (it will never take another charge). An expensive lesson I learned after killing a $75 RC car battery.

Difference between Lithion Ion and Lithion Polymer batteries: the Li-Ion batteries explode, Lipo batteries catch fire.

I have 3 batteries for my android that I continuously keep charged by marking them and using them in order and use an external charger. Mostly because the battery life is terrible and the charging port is borked.

This was very helpful. I was used to the ni-cd batteries where memory was a problem and deep discharges were recommended. Now with my li-ion batteries I can use my devices without having to bother with those hassles. You have unshackled my battery use chains. Thanks.

I really love your videos, there are easy topics where advanced people can still learn one or two things and there is really hard stuff... but still explained so most people can understand that...

That is indeed actually excellent information, I was always convinced that a charge and discharge counted as a cycle and also that constantly having elektricity on Li-ion batteries was bad for them and not that it was the temperature that was causing that.

Most episodes are things I already know, but this TechQuickie was quite useful. Knowing that each connect/disconnect is NOT one cycle is useful, as now I don't really worry if I'm only down to 72% and wanna plug it in to 100% before I go out.
