A man who came as a relative unknown and won it all - the final link to Drogba, Terry, Lampard, and Cech. There aren't too many players who give absolutely everything, but he is one of them. His dedication to the club has been phenomenal, a player who truly leads by example.
This doesn't hurt as much as it feels like a natural and fitting end. But that doesn't make it any less sad to see him go. It has been amazing watching Azpi play for the last 11 years. A true legend of the club.

I still remember a match where West Brom were 3-0 leading in the first half and azpi came in the second half, and took the captain's arm band. He literally changed the team's morale and we drew the match.

this made me tear up because i remember him signing. and that seems so long ago. i don’t care what anyone says, FOR ME, cesar “dave” azpilicueta is without a doubt a club legend up there amongst the john terry’s and lampards’. not ONCE did i ever see him not work hard for the badge. even in moments where everyone else had given up he would chase down a seemingly lost ball or throw himself hard into a challenge because fighting for the shirt is more important than anything else and he understood that and emulated that for all 11 seasons he was here. this truly does feel like the end of an era.
Unlike a certain individual Azpi really is proper Chels. A shinning example of a professional. Calm during the ips and downs he's won it all. He will forever be one of us and will always be welcomed back💙 3
If Mount and Kai do well for their new teams, good luck to them. We need to move on and I feel we are better off without them. We are rebuilding and so long as we're doing that around players like Reece James and Ben Chilwell, that is all that matters
