It wasn't just an injury, it was a major motorbike accident in 2012. He was pinned under a wheel of a car. But I don't think anyone explained this. He told the members he had fallen down some stairs...no big deal. But he sustained a major injury. He didn't tell Big Hit because he thought they wouldn't sign him on to debut. He was still just a trainee. What you don't know..there were other trainees picked to be in BTS, but never made it. Or dropped out. There are even pictures of these guys with the final 7. I'm only Army as of 2020 so I don't know all the history on those other guys. Maybe someone can give you details. Or you could search through their history. Also, Suga's shoulder kept getting worse and worse. He would have to have a steroid shot before each performance just to be able to raise his arm. He was in major pain for years. When you finally watch "Amygdala," Suga shares that traumatic experience along with other life dramas he was dealing with at the time. He had major surgery. It is a risky surgery. If not done right you don't have use of your shoulder. Also, the physically therapy for that rotary cuff is the Hardest and Longest physical therapy to go through. Worse than knee or shoulder replacement. I've had both knees replaced and that physical therapy alone was tough. I can't imagine what he had to go through. And you have to do the therapy every day. No slacking off. Or you won't be able to have full use of your shoulder. And covid hit so he was isolated from anyone visiting him. Due to his perseverance he healed 100%. And he also had gone through counseling so he healed from all his traumas. That's why his last album was called "D-Day." A "bomb" of completion took place. He doesn't need Agust D to spit out any more raps of anger and angst. Suga explained his alter ego of Agust D was over....for now.

And there are so many year end shows every year where he was seen in pain but every one thought he might be injured but then the doubt started when it was an every year thing
I'm Filipino and we also celebrate noche buena. We eat and play games and just have a good time. When the clock strikes 12, we exchange gifts and start eating again 😂

But performances around this time and a few months forward in things pre-recorded Yoongi is missing. He was off work completely so it's from all kinds of content (everything from weverse lives to Run to shows and performances etc) that he was missing. So in the future if you see Yoongi missing even if it's from stuff that came out a bit later into 2021 it's because of this and that some things just were released later.
I dont know what SUGA would have done if they had had the World Tour in 2020 because towards the end he was really suffering, he couldn't even move that arm. This is why he isnt doing full military service and has to serve longer than the other members.
