@@KitchenAlpha It does a wonderful job. I think the trick with any smoker of any size and caliber revolves around fire management as it relates to each smoker. One must improvise adapt, and overcome. Thanks for your videos.
Man...I absolutely love your videos. I've been subscribed to your videos for over 3 yrs. I've learned a lot from your videos & like to think I'm a better griller/cook because of you...thanks. Much love from Mobile Alabama.
What a great vid , I’ve been looking at that exact one for a year , you answered all my questions , you do a excellent job showing explaining and getting the best camera shots , appreciate your work and content
They take some work but are worth. I bought the same smoker w/o the shelf from walmart years ago. I learned how to smoke with this. You have to take care of that firebox or it will rust out. Small mod with a diffuser plate to keep the heat from causing the food closest to it from cooking horribly fast if you dont plan to rotate. I miss cooking on my "baby girl" good memories
I'd love to see you smoke a brisket. That's one of my favorites! I've thought about smoking a brisket buuuuuut......I'll just keep dreaming and wait for you to do it! :-). Thanks Ryan!
Just searched how to use charcoal grill and your channel was the first to pop up. Super impressed and will be using your recipes and advice! Thanks so much for the videos 😀😋
Nice! I'm going to pick one of these up. I have a no name standard grill without a firebox. Holes all in the thing. Closing the intake has no effect lol. I really wanted a actual smoker so thank you for this.
I just stumbled onto your channel and I've enjoyed what I've seen so far! I have a Char-Broil offset smoker very similar to that one and I'd love to see you cook a chicken, pork butt, and a brisket, as well as ribs. I've dabbled in doing both brisket and pork butt with varying results and would love some input from you. Thanks and have a great evening!
great review sir ,i'm sure i don't have to spend a whole lot of money on it to have a lot of fun with an off set smoker. would love to see you do a cook on it. Thnx a lot best regards from the netherlands.
I have the upsized model (actually 2) with the warming rack mounted in the lid. Makes for lots of room for cooking. I have had mine 9 years and replaced the firebox once and is due for another one. I'm giving one of them to my neighbor as I am buying a Char Griller Grand Champ XD this week. As for my Char-Broil I have used it successfully for years after making a few minor mods. The only thing I don't like about it is it uses a lot of fuel (charcoal and wood) on a long cook. The cheaper smokers can be made to work well if you take the time to learn how to use them. Get some heat gaskets and sealer, season it (I just learned about that) and get a decent cover and it will last a good long time.
I used one like this for over ten years. Yes it does take a bit to learn it but I have done a full brisket. The biggest issue I had was just trying to keep the temp right. But once I know how to do it works well
I've got the super all in one version of that smoker (the dual fuel/dual barrel grill with the side burner on one side and the side fire box on the other), and I love it. I had to do a few mods to make the side fire box leak less, but after that it worked great. I'd love to see you do some smoking on yours to get some ideas. I actually found your channel when I was figuring out the charcoal snake method to use in my SFB. Having to work on the heat every hour or so for a 14 hour brisket smoke sucked. What works in a Weber works everywhere.
Appreciate this video man. You can cook some good bbq on these low budget smokers. You just have to tend to them a little more often. I have a Royal Gourmet Offset smoker and grill. Did some modifications to it and now it works good. This was a very good video and well detailed.
These charcoal smokers produce better flavor than pellet smokers. I have a large pellet smoker and a large charcoal smoker this style. For those debating getting this one… get it! The only reason I have both is because I’m very busy and the pellet smoker can run on its own while I work. If you have the time to tend to a charcoal smoker, it produces the absolute best flavor!
Brother, please read some audiobooks for us. That voice of yours screams friendliness and has a very homey feel to it. My favorite book is The Bible, current favorite chapter Revelations. Thank you and may The Father bless you and yours as He sees fit.

My wife got me one of those for early Christmas (2019). I thank her for regularly. I love it.
It does a good job for that price range I think.

Another great video. As its always said its the cook NOT the cooker that produces a great meal. Yes I would like to see more cooks on this grill.
That is true. Thank you!

I’ve always wondered if a cheap offset could keep a temp. Great video. And yes, I’d love to see videos on this smoker.
Thank you!

Will try to do some soon! Thank you!

This is fantastic. Thank you so much. Yes, please do show cooking with this smoking method.

great video! I have a similar cheap-o offset smoker and I've had mixed results. Saving up for a pellet grill!

Thanks for watching John! I need to do a few mods to mine. I use my Weber kettle most of the time but I love to fire up my stick burner too!

There's a little work involved but makes a good little smoker for the money!

I have the 40” version of this one. Works great.

Great video. Id love to hear you say jenny a few times 😂
Nice content bud. Subscribed 👍
Thank you!
$130!! I've seen smokers for the same price less than half the size, that's an absolute bargain 😁
Not a bad deal!
If you could only pick one grill which grill would you pick? The Char-broil or your Weber grill?
Weber all day long! Thanks!
@@KitchenAlpha Thank you!
Yes I'm always willing to watch your videos so make 700 with this smoker and I will guarantee you I'll watch them 👍👍👍
Thank you Chad!!!

Yes ! Its affordable, and life wi5hout one is no fun.
Not sure why anyone would spend huge amounts. I cook everything in them.
I always say you get what you pay for.
That is very true most of the time!
