Great video, got my Searwood a few weeks ago and have been using it quite a bit. (Smoked a Brisket this past weekend Aug 24). Have been loving it, a great upgrade from the Bradley.
I’ve never tried a Bradley, but I always see them on Steven Raichlen’s tv shows.
Now after a few cooks, it is time to show us your clean up technique. Pellet smokers are notorious for being easy to cook but difficult to clean.
That’s a good idea. I will make a Searwood cleaning video later this summer.
Good video!
Just bought one from Weber it will be here Friday. Interested in how the smoke boost is best used like your methodical style
7:43 clever 😂
I was going to edit it out, but I forgot.
Thanks Dave. Very interested in this cooker. I am thinking the larger size is worth the extra $. Wondering what your thoughts are on that now that you have one?
I would definitely go with the big one, especially if you ever tend to cook lot of food or for a large group
@@daveshouseofbbq Really like your presentation of your videos. Very thorough and to the point. I just sold my Grilla OG and am thinking about getting a Searwood but I'm torn between what size to get. There are 2 of us and that's all I cook for, no crowds or anything like that. Extra space and $$$$ for nothing? The most I would ever smoke at one time would be 2 racks of ribs if that, a 5-7 lb butt (not at the same time), or pork tenderloins so I think the 600 would provide enough space for what I do. Decisions, decisions!
The smaller 600 should do fine. I’d go with that. Just ran mine yesterday and it worked flawlessly
Did you get a good smoke flavor on the steaks?
Yes. Not super strong. But good. I don’t like it too smokey though
