i think the best way of defining coachella is its a festival aimed at A list celebrities... which is why over instagram its so hyped up. For them its one of the few places where they can somewhat let their hair down, and not be singled out as everyone is as famous as each other. Not to mention that is their social circle.. not the general publics social circle. A listers will walk round coachella - bump into other A listers, then go watch their A lister best friend performing on stage! For them its a good way to see friends. Include the fact they all have private travel, security (if things go wrong) massive houses/air bnbs close by. they don't have to worry about literally anything but showing up. For the general public they spend more time celeb spotting than being present, finding their way to and from the venue and spending a lot of money.
Only thing I’d say to balance your comment is there are two weekends. Weekend 1 is known for being for celebrities as you said (it’s where brands put on things like Revolve Fest etc). People say Weekend 2 is for people who are there for the music. Some people don’t even realise there are two weekends! I went to weekend 2 for the first time this year, and we car camped and loved it! So maybe if people do want to go and aren’t interested/going to be invited to other events by brands etc, then weekend 2 might be for you! X

Thanks for being so honest about your genuine experience of Coachella. I think it’s so important you highlighted this as there will be young, impressionable people out there that going to an event like this could really have a negative affect on & they could spend a lot of cash expecting something which it’s not. I’ve heard it very much is about who knows who & it should be promoted in a way for the festival itself, not based on ‘celeb spotting’ like you say - it completely takes away from the fun of the festival & promotes a comparison environment. Glad you girls went there & were yourselves. There is always gonna be a peak & pit of a trip & honesty is always best ❤️

This was really interesting. You have actually learned a really good life lesson. I'm older now (very) so I can look with hindsight but you have basically summed up life. All the hyped stuff NEVER lives up to expectation in life. It's the small stuff that surprises you. The stuff you never expect too much from always seems to be the best time. And SO important, like you said about getting out of Coachella. Always plan your escape route. Always have one. Nothing worse than being stranded at a party, venue and all you want to do is leave but you can't. And on that note my final tip. If a day/night turns to sh1t don't throw money at it thinking it will get better. It never does. If it starts bad it only ever goes one way. Quit and live to fight another day!

Tbh I do think you could have a great time. However I think it's clearly overhyped, all this once in a lifetime experience is clearly bs. IF you live close by, or within the country then it could be good; but looks like so much traveling and prep for just another festival tbh. I'd choose a few day in Ibiza season any day.

I've never seen any of your videos before and haven't been to Coachella before. I do have a house in Palm Springs and know several people who have attended, a few who always attend, and a few who have been in the featured headlining acts. Although completely offended and disgusted by the sweatshirt initially, as each minute rolled by in this video I found it more compelling. Not because the two, then three of you are hot! Okay, not just because the two, then three of you are hot. But more importantly, because you appear witty, smart, funny, friendly, unaffected, extremely likable, genuine, thus, even more attractive. Throughout the entire video there isn't a hint of what makes so many other Coachella review videos so obnoxious, repulsive, narcissistic, and pathetic. At the end we find out why, the same reason it wasn't the "end all" dream destination for you, because you women are actually very beautiful, very cool, with your feet on the ground. You are not acting like you're cool or playing a different role for everyone you see. Huh, being normal is very impressive. These are scary times... I'm sorry I haven't met you Sydney, I can only assume I was awful in a previous life.
