Such a huge congrats are deserved! You 3 really made an incredible instrument! The sounds and look are phenomenal. All three models are great, but I think I’d have to go with the blue version 🤘🤘
Andrew's vision on that guitar is amazing. The renders had me nervous about his choice but I think his might be the most striking of the three, it's absolutely gorgeous.
Jaguars are my favourite guitars of all time, and these feel like the perfect balance of that sort of style and also practicality. I love Balaguer designs so much, I really want to get one soon :)
I discovered this video only now. I love the look of Balaguer. Beau's model is pretty amazing. I wish Balaguer was (more) available here, in EU. And that tune in the beginning is just amazing.
Let me just say that you three along with spiral caster and collector//emitter are the reason I watch this stuff. I have improved not only my pedalboard pallet but my playing style and technique as well. So thank you all for that. These guitars... Oh my god! What else can I say. I was playing around on their website and damn they are reasonable for a custom build. You certainly make them sing. Great job boys!
Intro reminds me of what was happening in post-hardcore in the mid 2010s, like Pianos Become The Teeth or Touche Amore's chiller sections. edit: oh nice I see I wasn't super far off later in the video
just came across this video. been eying a jennings voyager deluxe for a while, but a bit out of my price range, so decided to go with one of these. just put in a preorder for what seems to be the last batch of the blue ones. stoked to get it soon!
I get it. Jumping up a tier for guitar pricing is tough. One of the things I love so much about this model is how accessible the price point is while still being a such a solid instrument.
Just put my deposit down on one in the vintage white!! That coil tap tone sold me, along with te affordability when compared to other offsets from Fender and other 'boutique' brands
These guitars are so sick. Plus the song is great. Inflation is no joke lol, I feel like balaguer used to start at like $700? Only a few years ago. That’s wild.
Dude you aren't kidding. I bought a PRS Custom 22 in 2006 for like 1,800 and I found out literally yesterday that a PRS Custom line is now comfortably above $4,000. Cost of stuff is waaaaay up these days. Most of the guitars I use these days all sit between 2,500-3k+ so for this to come in under 1,500 and be THIS good is such a huge win in my opinion. We can gripe all we want about the state of things but for a brand to be delivering on this level at this price in the current market is great.
Clean but chunky - sounds (obvious) like a cross between a JM and a LP. I would want it in Alder, but I wonder if they made a mahogony version, if it would have a little more sputnik. Beautiful guitar - I'd definitely make sweet sweaty love to it...all. night. wrong.
The second round of preorders ran earlier this year. I would check out little box effects; they had pre orders open and miiiiiight have some left over. Not super likely but possible
“Comfy C” profile according to Balaguer. My 52 Tele is an old school fender C and it’s huge. This is much slimmer by comparison, I’d say it feels more modern than almost any of my classic style guitars but still chunkier than I proper “shredder”
What was the other band besides Silent Planet that you mentioned being influential for you at the beginning of the video? Always eager to check out new to me music.
How does the foil on the pickup change the tone at all? Is it similar at all to a filtertron? Or what kind of guitar would you maaaybe compare these pickups to? High output or low output?
That intro is awesome. I'd listen to a whole album of this.
What an awesome collab, you guys are all really inspiring, thanks for doing this!

I love that guitar. I'd be rolling the vintage white if I made it happen. Great video and congrats.
That vintage white is great. Matt killed it on his look.
Andrew’s blue Espada though 👌
Yeah I think he definitely won on that one. It’s absolutely stunning in every photo I’ve seen of it

This guitar is timeless. Class.
I always looking forward to see what brand of guitar you are going to use ,I love your channel, thank you
Sounds and looks fantastic Mark
Great great video! One of the nicer offsets on the market.
I know not the point, but seriously, the bass sounds incredible, Mark!!!

That's Awesome saw the blue sparkle in a store yesterday never heard of them
Awesome
Gorgeous guitars and cool song! 👌

Awesome Mark!!! Much deserved!! Loved the length of the intro song!!!🤘😎
I had to make sure I left enough room for both of them to really show off. It's rare we get playing of that caliber on this channel.
@@markjohnstonofficial yes it is, but I loved it!!

stunning guitar. hope I can check one out at some day.
God these look good
Guitar Jesus
Nervous leg syndrome?
The guitar has a beautiful sound, would def love to have one, but at 70 I believe I’m too old🤗🤗🤗
Yep. Lots of nervous energy here.
Will these be available in europe?? Looks and sounds amazing!
Check out Balageur's dealer network on their website for info!
@@markjohnstonofficial will do! Thanks!
What is the nut width on the ambient? Can’t find it on the site
Maybe I missed it in the video, but when are these made available?

What effects did you use to get the swell sounds at 21:54? Great video btw
It seems it's no longer available, do you think you'll do another edition someday?

There is still one :)
What type of guitar would you compare this neck to? Tele, Strat, Veritas, Gretsch?

Saosin. An absolutely incredible band that actually had a heavy hand in developing the genres we all now live inside haha
@@markjohnstonofficial Nice, I'll check 'em out, thank you Mark!
@@markjohnstonofficial don’t forget Circa Survive
And L.S. Dunes, if we’re just rolling through the best of Anthony green. Haha

it's only aesthetic; they're standard humbuckers will cool looking covers.
Your probably get this a lot, but you look like a young Peter Green (Fleetwood Mac) circa 1969/70
Equal parts 70’s Peter green and Rasputin
