Ladyhawk so far this has been quite a day! I've had the live stream on since you first made me aware. Eric did a great job with Bailey! She's actually quite gentle as she was handled. Just saw 3 Kayakers going by (at 3:22pm). Are we thinking Steve and Rachel will permanently relocate to this nest? I've noticed the fly bys by one of the parents for a little while now. They'll pop in and land then back out again. Ttys.
Hi Tom - no Steve & Rachel will not relocate to this nest. This is not their nest or territory and Rachel will be going back and forth between nests. If Steve delivers fish to the old nest, I am sure Rachel will take it from him and bring to this nest and feed Bailey. Rachel brought a fish for Bailey and she was very nervous the entire time she was on the nest. I bet you didn't think these nests would be so full of twists and turns all summer long? lol :)
Hi Ladyhawk - appreciate the info! True, I certainly didn't think these nests would have so many twists and turns but this is quite the educational experience for me on Ospreys! I'll be well prepared for this nest next season now, just like I've learned so much more about Eagles over all this time with the cams. I'm so pleased that Audobon intervened and helped like this :) . Only thing that concerns me now is that Bailey will be on the new nest alone since our parents won't be relocating so she'll be potentially vulnerable at night to that GHO. I pray she'll be okay ❤ ttys
Bailey looks big and healthy and I'm so glad they were able to relocate her so close to the old nest. Rachel will have no problem hearing her cries of hunger.
There have been developments since this video. After Bailey got attacked by the original Mom of this nest and Rachel (her Mom) didn't show up, Eric has once again climbed up and retrieved Bailey, putting her in the box again. Our hero!
Makes the day much better knowing she is safe and away from those awful bees. Now parents need to find her and protect her before nightfall and that terrible owl. Poor baby, just too much drama in her life. Prayers for her safety.
Sorry guys...I've been out of the loop lately and trying to catch up. Lady Hawk is this new nest safer as far as the GHO is concerned? I'm not too concerned about Bailey's parents finding her. These parents know how to find their babies anywhere. I feel SO MUCH BETTER about Bailey. I had to take my bar exam last week and it bothered me that I couldn't check in on Bailey at all but was getting notifications that the GHO kept coming back. I had to focus but I was so worried about this little dolly. Glad to know all is well!!!
Hi Nancy - after they placed Bailey in this boathouse nest, the female osprey named Dottie who utilized the nest this past season returned and tried to push Bailey out of the nest. After seeing what was happening, Dr. B decided it would be best to take Bailey out from this nest later the same day and she is now residing in a new nest called the Porthole - it is close to the original nest so Rachel and Steve can take care of her there. They don't have a camera on this nest - but hopefully we will have an update on Bailey by tomorrow. I think Bailey will be just fine on this new nest and she is safe from wasps. All the nests are open to a GHO attack though - but let's hope Rachel can protect Bailey over there too!
Man...Poor Bailey has REALLY been through hell these past few weeks. Seems she's bothered no matter where she goes. At least her wing looks good and she's been looked over. Hasn't been easy on Rachel either. Thank you for the update Lady Hawk!!! Big hugs.
Yes she already has found Bailey and she brought her a fish! She will be taking care of her now at this boathouse nest - hopefully all through out the evening.
Was just watching Bailey and Rachel at new (Boat House nest) and it appeared Rachel was attacking Bailey. Did anyone else see this? Chat has been disabled so I cannot discuss with anyone? Why would she be doing that? Maybe she's just so stressed out from Bailey flying off original nest then being relocated?
It was not Rachel but Dottie that was attacking Bailey. This is Dottie's nest and she was simply defending it from what she perceived was an intrusion by Bailey.
Poor Bailey. I hope that insect problem is taken care of too. They do make fake wasp nests and fake bee hives to deter the bugs from rebuilding their nests etc in the same location. Sweet Bailey.... hope she's going to get some rest and relief now.
Hi CC - always check for my latest video as I try to pin any updates on Bailey to the top of the video. She has been photographed on her new nest and Rachel is nearby! ua-cam.com/video/4tD6qXol6GY/v-deo.html
If I can't watch the new videos as they come in, I get confused as to the order in which they were filmed. Is there any way to time stamp them when several get posted in one day? Or am I missing a clue somewhere? Thanks!
Hi Fritz - I have no idea how they are sent out in your notification emails - if they are individual or grouped. The best thing I have been told by others is to select get notifications (click on that bell icon near the subscribe button). That way you will get an email with each new video so you can tell the order in which they they were uploaded. Hope that helps!! Thanks for watching!
Bailey can be returned right. Just spray those wasps some pest spray lol. Coz Bailey may not be fed by mom. But maybe when she's strong enough that she can fly back to mom. And how far is the nest
Lady Hawk, you made my day!!!! Thank you so, so much for letting us know so fast! Prayers do get answered! :)

Yay! Her wing looks good when she flaps it @ 5:55.
I'm glad she's safe and hope Mom finds her soon. ☺️ 💕 🐥
Btw.. she's so BIG! 😃
Thank you :-)
I miss her already. She was like " where am i"

Thank you...i was worried about Baily
Thank god bailey is ok..fingers crossed that mom finds her
Fortunately it's ok. The wing looks good. ❤
Sweet Bailey is having some undisturbed-by-wasps sleep now, at 5:30 pm. Resting up for dinner delivery.
Makes the day much better knowing she is safe and away from those awful bees. Now parents need to find her and protect her before nightfall and that terrible owl. Poor baby, just too much drama in her life. Prayers for her safety.
I hope that she will be ok over there.
Please let us know when Rachel finds her baby..
Dzięki Bogu
Thank you for the update!!! can you hear Bailey?
There is no audio on the boathouse cam so no we will not be able to hear her.
Bailey is like dad you may not like my new apt but I'm a kid and I have needs..now give me that fish

I wonder how Bailey is doing...God Bless him and protect him
Lady Hawk... do you think Rachel will find Bailey quickly? Worried.
Yes she already has found Bailey and she brought her a fish! She will be taking care of her now at this boathouse nest - hopefully all through out the evening.
The last I heard, Bailey is in Florida, Audubon Education center?
Yes that is her permanent home now. She is doing very well there. Wish I lived closer as I would visit.

Yay! Don't need those nasty wasp getting my baby 😀❤️
Eric had to move Bailey again to a platform that he made. Good going Eric. But has Rachel found her baby again?
Yes Rachel has found Bailey and is feeding/taking care of her!
Do you have any updates on Bailey?

Thank you! Lady Hawk :))
Woohooo!!!
The BH cam has no sound.
Yes the bh cam does not have any audio.

Thanks! I realized later that if I look at my emails first, they would be in the proper order. Sorry to bother you. Keep up the good work. :)
No bother at all :) Have a good evening!

Bailey was fed by Mom shortly after she was put in the boathouse nest. She isn't strong enough yet to fly back to her nest - maybe in a few days.
Yes saw the videos. Thank u!
Tough Bailey, hope eagle's won't find her.
BTW, I wish she wouldn't flap her wings so close to thr edge:(
