its not lateral so when it goes ob its 2 strokes if you take the distance. appreciate you watching

Jimmy - I broke 90 yesterday from your videos - just playing safe and to the front and easy chip for par pssibility or bogey worst case works! The video where you talk about the 3 most important things gave me my a-ha moment..stay down and look at the ball..you nailed it..my misses were low hooks..by looking and staying down stopped me from turning around and causing the hooks..my god man..you have created a monster. TY 🎉

Jimmy, Congrats on the 1oK subscribers. I found your channel about a month ago and look forward to your new videos. I've tried your simple approach to the golf swing, and it really works. I'm hitting more fairways and putting has improved immensely. Still messing up my pitches / chips but working on it. As a 70+ year ago guy, my goal was to break 100. Now I'm in the 93/94 area trying to get into the 80"s.

Love the fact that you kept the video rolling during the bad shot and walk us through it with a great mental state of mind I see it all the time and I'm terrible with the fact of when I hit a bad shot or 2 I take it with me to the next hole and guess what I make more bad shots because of trying to fix something that ain't broke it was just a bad shot. This is awesome man!

Hi Jimmy. I'm from Australia and haven't played golf for several years. I plan to retire in the coming weeks and one of my objectives is to get back into playing this wonderful game. I have watched and re-watched your videos and you have inspired me to approach the game in a different way. I now feel like I have the right mind-set to tackle this "not so easy" game. Today I had an aha moment. Jimmy’s been talking about the backswing and waving hello and I finally got what that means. Basically you keep the face of the club the same all the way up your backswing and don’t roll your wrist back and then roll your wrists through the downswing you’re just asking for trouble. Just keep the face of the club the same, keep your trail elbow connected to your body tucked and keep head down and watch the club make contact with the ball then you can lift your head and follow through- it’s magical. One last piece of advice don’t rush your downswing 70% speed tops and you’ll still hit it hard

I'm 88 years old started golfing at 30 and was always pretty good, broke 100 after 5 games. Over the years, (because of the golf channel) tried all that stuff that screws you up. After watching your videos I am now back on track, making better contact and enjoying it. Thank you,

I've been watching some of the videos and this one was perfect for me. I was lifting and not turning. Then on the down swing that little bump forward then swing was fantastic. I'm left handed and I shot the other week a 97. Because of this video and making the swing so easy I just shot my record low of 87. My buds I played with kept saying that I took some lessons. My 7 iron was going before to videos 140 to 150 ish. After the videos I was flushing it dead straight 160 to almost 175 and making an easer consistent swing. Thank you for the videos and cheers!!!

Jim, I’ve been trying to get my swing to meet the “crossing the wrists at impact” “lift the club head’. and failed miserably for 18 months. Slicing right, twisting and push the ball left. Damn near quit last December. Then last month I stumbled on your videos… immediately improved. Olin talk, easy explanation… Now I need to get distance back. Thanks.
Jimmy thank you for your videos, using your concept I was able to shave 8 strokes off my score on my very first round after seeing you on the channel. I still have some work but I am confident I will be scoring in the mid to low 80’s in no time. Thanks again for showing me how to play frustration free golf.

Triple bogey all the way! haha, great to see you didn't cut the video and just showed the world that yes, golf is real even for the better players and that golf happens indeed. I usually like in the triple bogey world on every hole but after your videos and some practice in the garage, I hope to be able to play better golf come spring.
Also, I noticed in the video that when you explain to keep your hand down and "wave to the camera", when you actually hold the club and swing, it looks like your right hand is actually facing up not down?

I have a question: Is your swing considered to be a single plane type swing like Moe Norman, Stewart Cink, or DeChambeau?
Is there much wrist hinging going on, because I'm not really noticing it...guess I'm too involved being entertained :)

Jimmy-I’m a mess 😂….a true Unicorn 🦄. I think I’m like 1% of the population.
I golf, bat, and play hockey right-handed. However, I am left-hand dominant! ( write, shoot firearms, throw, etc..)
The last big leaguer of any consequence that played this way was Ricky Henderson. ( Obviously, I’m NOT counting switch hitters). Rare breed indeed! My best round ever was an 80. That day was also rare lol. Even bad shots took unreal bounces in my favor. Why I ❤golf! One hole in one in my back pocket. Swished it from 140. Destroyed cup too…😮. Thanks for allowing me to enjoy golf tutorials again! Can’t wait until I implement your ways and thinking into my game! Haven’t had the opportunity to play much lately- but will make time soon….you rock, Mr. Tropicana! 🍊🍊🍊

Hey Jimmy Great videos After viewing I went out and tried it out. Great success on first couple of holes and then the chicken wing set in have to keep practicing. At some time can you do a video on the grip. I know I fumble an a lot with getting the right grip always trying to set a strong grip however my club face get closed and i fumble to get the club face square. Keep it coming
Hi Jimmy great video and mad respect for showing a bad shot. That's real golf. What's your average swing-speed with a 7 iron? Even without massive rotation you seem to be getting great distance. I know you're not trying to be the longest hitter on youtube and there is no need to be, I'm just curious for a comparison to my own SS. Likely you get a great smash-factor from how you deliver the club. "Get your par, get back to your car". Gunna play that little diddy in my head this summer when I'm on course. For me, I would be hitting my 4 hybrid instead of a 3 iron, cuz I can't rock that kind of long-iron in the bag. But I would be just as accurate for dispersion with the forgiving model hybrid that I have in the bag.
Question: when you adopted your current swing, did you find it was sufficiently shallower or optimally shallow?

I used to have my right hand too much on top of my club. Promoted an over the top slicing swing. Recently put my hand in the "proper" golf position and it made a world of difference to my swing path and ball distance. Seeing a video from you on how to grip the club would be great.

Hey Jim, I'm pretty sure you should have been hitting four from the drop not five! No?
It was OB/lost ball, which is stroke and distance. Since he took the distance, he had to add an extra stroke. The USGA added this golf rule change a few years back to pick up the pace of play. It used to be that you had to go back to where you originally hit the ball and you were forced to take the stroke and distance penalty.
