@@RoadtoFinnish hii brother, your vedios are very informative and motivational. I am thinking of pursuing LLM from Helsinki University. But there is not much content available on the master's programme. No clips of students and their experiences. No information about job perspectives. If it's possible for you to make one on how to get admission in masters in law at Helsinki and all other perspectives related to Finland Please make one.
Hey and thanks for the positive feedback, I do appreciate it. Would there be any specific things that you'd like to know about studying that you'd like me to cover in future videos?
Hey Asher and thanks for the positive feedback. To be honest, I simply haven't been travelling during the last few years, but ill have a cool trip coming up next month that I want to show you guys. You'll know more when I get the video online around the end of September, but this upcoming trip is my way of relaxing and getting out of the social media life that we are all living.
I applied for Bachelor degree in Economics. Lived in Finland last 18 years now. Could you tell anything about entrance examination of bachelor degree or did you have at all examination when you applied for English degree ?
Hey and thanks for the question. I did my bachelor's degree in Finnish so i had to go through the Finnish entrance application system. However, this was almost ten years ago so cant say anything about the current system. The entrance application system for Finnish degrees was changed a few years back and i have not looked into the details about it. Anyways, to summarise my experience, i spent 5 months studying 5 books so that i knew them by memory. So it was a lot of work especially if you didnt do that well in high school. If you apply for a english taught degree, you have to most likely take the SAT's. The application system depends on the individual universities so that does not hold true with all schools and degrees.
Hello, please Oulu business school requires GMAT for those who didn't do their bachelor's in Finland, can I write the department and apply for a waiver?
Hey and thanks for the question. Please do not. The application criteria in Finland are very strict and there is no way to get a waiver if GMAT is required. This would literally be against the law for the university to do because it would be unequal towards the other applicants. So writing the university about a waiver will not do you any good.
hello, just wanted to ask what is the medium of instructions in alto university? is it english all the time or there are other languages used as medium of instructions? thank you
The materials at Aalto University follow the language of the course itself. So if you are doing a bachelors degree in Finnish, most of the materials will be in Finnish - although, at least in business school English is mixed into the materials from day 1 because of the international nature of the studies. Following this logic, if you are doing a degree in English, all materials will be provided in English. If you are wondering about other materials that are not course specific, aalto has done a great job in making sure that international students won't have any issues. As a bonus fact, all materials from the student union are done in three languages: Finnish, Swedish and English. Also, most student clubs (with some exceptions) operate in an international environment so you can take part in any club activities or trips and you should be more than fine. Hope this answered your question.
Hello there, I am interested in applying for Masters in Business Analytics at Aalto Uni, I have never written a thesis or anything too long pages, so in short, can you provide tutorial sites/apps/tips(if you know any that's) which can gain me this skill? Will be very grateful!
I think i might have answered this in our Discord channel but because some other people might also be interested in the answer, here is a copy and paste of the answer that i gave you: In terms of writing academic texts, this is not something that you would have to practice prior to starting your studies. You will learn this while in school. So dont stress about it too much. Also, im not the correct person to teach you learning or writing skills. However, i really recommend that you check out the UA-cam channel from Ali Abdaal. He is a fantastic teacher and has a bunch of super valuable videos on this topic. I wish i had known about Ali when i started my studies because i would have most likely done so much better. Heres a link to his channel: ua-cam.com/users/Sepharoth64
