I used to be a soda-drinker, but after switching to water and tea, I began to lose a few pounds.
can't go wrong with diet soda
@@SuperRedsoxfan1234 except you can. It actually spikes your blood over a 24 hour period and also ruins your gut bacteria
@@SuperRedsoxfan1234 Lol okay. Let me know how years and years of exposing yourself to aspartame goes. That is if you can even remember who you are before it's too late.
@@SuperRedsoxfan1234 if you really think this, read the ingredients on a zero cal soda.
@@SuperRedsoxfan1234 actually drinking soda makes you crave sugar. it's a bad drink choice. Just drink a sugar soda once in a while. It's fine. I prefer Poland Springs flavored sparkling water.
In northeastern Indiana, we call it "pop".
Western Pennsylvania, it’s pop too!
My brother lives in Evansville Indiana
Pennsylvania where they have the groundhog day where they see if he sees his shadow or not awww
So the Mormon edict is you can't drink caffeinated coffee but you CAN drink caffeinated soft drinks (and you CAN have 55 wives).
Yes (and no, at least not anymore)
I enjoy to drink mango soda. I appreciate to drink any soda with natural ingredients.
Yes because we all know that sugar is natural and goes through no processing😂😂😂. There are little sugar bushes that little sugar cube fruits 😂😂😂
No coffee or tea, but please, drink as many 24 Oz Monster tall boys as you please 🙄
Love soda
Anyone who has visited the house of Philip Syng Physick (aka The Father of American Surgery) in Philadelphia knows that he also invented flavored carbonated soft drinks in 1807.
There is the family estate in Cape May NJ as well.
Normalizing car dependency, massive calorie intake, and a dangerous cult all in under 4 minutes.

Man shut up
Grow up, Tyler.
Ever since Coke introduced "Free Style"
Soda for me means diabetes, bad teeth, weigh gain. I'll have it occasionally as a treat like when I rarely go to a fast food joint. But I am happy with sparkling water or just water these days. What I need to drop though are juices. I noticed I drink more Ocean Spray and Apple Motts these days and I don't think they are any better.
you just drinking flavored sugar water
They’re just as if not even worse. The amount of sugar in ocean spray cran apple for example is just as much as soda
Nobody cares
Very, very interesting. We had no idea.🙏🏻🎧
$_$ Gotta love Italian sodas
1:36 - one of my biggest pet peeves! and it becomes more prevalent each year it seems. it is not .60 cents or .35 cents. that means 60% or 35% of one cent. it is 60 cents or 35 cents (if i had the cent symbol on my keyboard i would use it). $0.60 means 60 cents, as that is 60% of $1 or in other words 60 cents.
Most people don't know this or even think about it. But that's just my .02 cents.
@@Soxruleyanksdrool i see what you did there
Shorthand
Yep. *.60¢* is actually $0.0060.
Another mistake is when people refer to the Seventies as the "70's" when it should be the *'70s* .
Utah is an alien planet
Of course it’s in Brigham Young’s winter capital.
I'm pretty sure bottled soda was a popular option long before soda fountains went out of style. You fail to mention how crimes like drug dealing and gambling were taking place in many soda shops by the mid 60s, particularly in cities like NYC and Philly where I grew up. I scored my first lid of weed and tab of acid at a store in Philly in 66 lol
interesting

Potroast.
Interesting
Dr pepper my favorite
I run an underground, speakeasy coffee shop in Utah. If you slip me a 20 I can get you some tea also.
No coffee or tea but caffeinated soda ok?? Religious nonsense……as always. Free yourself.
Big difference betwixt the two. 1 6 oz Coffee or black tea have about three times the amount of caffine as the average12 oz soda. Ìts more or less like Beer vs. Liquer.
We from the east/north east call it soda. It's tasty, but lousy for teeth and bones.
Another car drive thru. Great 🙄
PLEASE! Nothing like that in Odessa, Texas!! (wink) 😉
Banning Coffee but not Coca-Cola doesn't make sense to me. What is the difference between hot caffeine and cold caffeine?
This should be illegal, DIABETIC CALLING CARD.
Think before you Karen
Thirst... more than just a soda shop!
Too cute..
Caffeinated soda is okay? But coffee and tea are not? Smdh
What is happening in Utah? First cookie companies are copying each other, now soda companies too? Not original thought in Utah? Will this lead to lawsuits as well?
All ready happen look up dirty soda lawsuit
There is literally no empirical evidence that soda is healthier or somehow better than coffee / tea.
Dr Brown’s Celery or Cream sodas were considered natural Physicks
Auntie Scarecrow
Just drink water. Your body will thank you.
👀👍
Never knew Mormons could not drink hot tea or coffee.
Waste of money, lousy for your health and the reporter should shave. Sad.
What is wrong with drinking tea?
In the Word of Wisdom, the Lord commands Mormons to abstain from harmful substances. Mormons are taught not to drink any kind of alcohol (see Doctrine and Covenants 89:5-7). Mormons are also taught not to drink “hot drinks,” meaning coffee or any tea (because of caffeine content) other than herbal tea (see D&C 89:9), and not to use tobacco (see D&C 89:8).
@@RaymondHng Is the Lord aware of all the good stuff in tea like anti-oxidants?
I learned absolutely nothing about the history of soda from this

Enough of the self righteous bs. Either watch the segment or don't.
Why can't Mormons drink tea or coffee.
Decaf?

Coca cola as everyone knows used to be made with real cocaine (until a young staff member named Benecio Del Toro vanished on day with the supply).

a alot of healthy karens dont wan enjoy life but wan live the fast life lane. why not just have sodas instead of being a karen maren about being healty you can stay healty at the same time 🤦♂️🤦♂️
Oh, Mormons. You are so very, very strange.
No doubt everyone in Utah is diabetic. What a terrible idea. Irresponsible.
It doesn't matter how you are gathering the sugar together, it's all about getting your drug fix.
She got the name from dirty martini
Nope.
Tooth rot
Don't forget the diabetes!
To all those complaining about how sugar rots your teeth and causes diabetus, just use soda made with monkfruit. Wallah! Now the soda is healthy.
Voila?
The Mormons are the best when it comes to non-alcoholic beverages. I love my Mormon neighbors! ❤️🍾
