Yeah that's true, the only Elo where matchups actually matter is very high challenger. Otherwise you can always win if you're better, and Jax is one of the best blindpick champs in the game (at least in toplane).
Been playing jax for past few weeks and I really love going titanic second item, exactly because of the auto reset and clear. Definitely going to try to get it first item, although sheen sounds better to me. Anyways, any reason why titanic hydra isn't even recommended and why it feels like we're the only two people building it? :D I think it's just a superior item compared to sundered sky, which is a popular second item for some reason.. About you saying you should auto-W-titanic - I've been doing the exact thing but if you're chasing someone you might want to auto-titanic-W instead, because W gives you a bit of range (around 75 I htink), so with auto-W-titanic they could be already too far for your titanic after using W. I guess it's pretty situational because W does more damage (given it procs sheen, too), but if you know they won't dash/flash away, it might be beneficial because they can't outrun it. Didn't experiment with it yet though

Also a jax player here and I also love going hydra second item. Good tankyness from the Hp and gives you good damage and wave/jungle clear
