Show Synopsis: "Suits" delves into the fast-paced, high-stakes world of a top Manhattan corporate law firm where hotshot associate Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht, “Love & Other Drugs”) makes a risky move by hiring Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams, “Old School”) a brilliant but unmotivated college dropout, as his associate. As he becomes enmeshed in this unfamiliar world, Mike relies heavily on the firm’s best paralegal Rachel (Megan Markle, “Horrible Bosses”) and Harvey's no-nonsense assistant Donna (Sarah Rafferty, “Brothers & Sisters”) to help him serve justice. With a photographic memory and the street smarts of a hustler, Mike proves to be a legal prodigy despite the absence of bonafide legal credentials.

People say this was a bad subplot but it was quite emotional and humbling for Donna. This is pretty much what lead her to pursue her goal of becoming COO and proving she could be more than just Harvey Specter's legal secretary. All subplots don't have to be extraordinary but are needed for character development.
True!
Excellent
Humbling + ??? = "I should be COO of this giant law firm because I'm Donna"
it's bad the way they created it out of nowhere. they couldvé made a so much better story with emotion added to ti as well
Yes
I like how she wasnt concerned about the potential of this guy potentially recording every illegal thing they've ever done
Illegal things aside, just the "yeah I've been snooping on everything you say for 2 years" and she takes zero issue 🙄
Benjamin was up there for committing crimes himself I don’t think he cared at all. He covered up mikes fraud, hacked the prison, etc.
Ah yes, Benjamin can create world class AI/chat bot from messy data of Donna speaking (which I don't think was enough to train an AI) but instead of working at a tech giant he works as tech support for a law firm?
I mean, technically any data is enough to train an ai, just, some data just makes a very bad model.
.....did you not read his character? He IMMEDIATELY jumped to the idea that he was the weakest link.
Some of us are so painfully awkward around 'real' people we cant stand the thought of a large open office space, interacting with hundreds of staff and people. Were comforted by our cupboard with a phone and perhaps an internet feed. We don't seek the approval of those around us, were comfortable enough with ourselves to be content with our own company and waste our downtime on totally pointless things. Working in IT or ICT is all the same don't matter where you are, you wont get the credit for your work, your software could underpin a fortune 500 company, if you wrote it for them during your work hours, they own it and they own all the credit for it, which only serve to make us more protective and more fearful of the world at large.
We all all seek the path of least resistance, he like me has chosen to be where possible isolated to his own little world with the few people he likes to talk to.
He gave upon his dream when he didn't get a chance to go to silicon valley. That's why he was not working at any tech giant.
Mark S who is "we" in this long patronising speech of yours?
In my opinion, Benjamin creating, ‘The Donna’ , is what led to her wanting more than being a legal secretary
The Donna was ChatGPT before ChapGPT was ChatGPT
Siri and Alexa, and possibly Google's pre-Gemini, already in existence, a voice prompt command AI... OpenAI's CHATGPT is basically the newest addition and most accessible out of AI programs..
Ok I admit that later in the series, Donna was acting more superhuman than normal, taking intuition and comradeship to a whole unrealistic level. But I think the point to emphasize here is not the Donna, but the fact that she realized that she needed to be more ambitious and claim a title worth her work to be able to gain respect in society and show people like those trash investors that she is worth a lot more than what they were making her out to be.
Some people are getting the point!
"You're a corporate secretary. What did you expect?" - Gretchen. I agree with you on the point of this storyline but the show also told us Donna chose to follow Harvey her whole career and he paid her extravagantly for it to the degree that Louis thought a zero had been added to her salary by mistake when he found out how much it was.
If Donna wanted to take a step forward with her career that's fine but she never actually works towards her goal or grows as a person. She just kinda demands a seat at the table and acts angry whenever she is challenged despite the fact she never brought any money to the firm.
She’s really not worth that much
Smart investors do not focus or fixate on titles. To a smart investor, the product, its functionality, and the genius behind it are what would matter, including also costs and expected return.
@Anvi Sethi - on point
I'm watching season six at present. I love the Donna and Benjamin scenes. She is like protecting him, she knows he is shy, it's lovely to see her to be protective and helpful to him. Lovely to watch,
Harvey be like: "Oh two Donnas. This is going to be fun"
"I'm doing this. Because I'm Donna." She is so self confident. 👍
Shes a character in a serie that is scripted and they are acting. Its not real life man you need to grow up instead of wasting your life on acting like fictional characters are real people
@@nickv.353 brooo
@@nickv.353 yeah. I don’t like her character, she is just over scripted
bruh the end where benjamin stood against donna leaving and him pursuing the AI alone and bsically said thered be no project without her... that whole scene got me emotional🥲😭😭
Stu and Donna makes a great pair.
I agree, I would love to have seen Stu and Donna have a relationship. stu is a gentleman.
Donna is THE most perfect tv personality ever personified. This is of course with respect to the character, for who she is, it could not have possibly been done better.
......said no one ever.
Donna is literally the worst.
Great actress.
@@freeinghumanitynow admit it , you just hate strong women
I liked Donna on the early seasons but later she goes "I'm Donna bla bla" and gets freaked out when she's being called on the stand and blame Louis.
True earlier seasons one was a strong character but the latter one came out hypocritical when she lost her calm on the stand
Later? She literally was a narcissistic fool from day 1
@@user-mx4is4fx3c I’d say her character took a dump after she destroyed that memo in season 2. After that, she just never recovered. All that was left of her was “I am Donna” and “I am Awesome”.
@@4cryingoutloud976 Yeah exactly
Useless character...I agree with u
I just love Donna’s character… I love her energy. I love her composure. She’s just fantastic.!
I love her Body
‘He wants to be you, he wants to look like you, he wants the wear your skin as a body-suit’ 😂
There is us and there is Donna, Just watching her talk walk and deal with people keeps me hooked on, seriously i was hooked on for Suits cos of Donna. ❤
Donna is just in another level 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Stu is a great person. Wow. Why don't we see more of his character?
Donna is a secretary but she is confident like a celebrity.
Currently rewatching suits from start to finish for the 5th time
You're not alone, I've watched all seasons 9 times 🤪😅
Must be idle😂
@@salaamfx ?
WHERE?!
@@rainygamedays5873 Netflix?
So basically, Benjamin made an Alexa before Alexa was a thing.
5:42
Um no Siri and Alexa were already present! Don't you hear ?
I just thought it was really sad how badly her idea was rejected :(
That is the world of Venture Capital.
Honestly they were extremely nice about it. Imagine Donna on shark tank lol she would have got absolutely destroyed to her face. Now imagine shark tank without the cameras: she would have been disrespected and laughed out the door in 30 seconds flat
With the world of spin-offs that exists in entertainment, Why is there not a Spin-off with Donna as the Lead?
Woman no spinoff
Lol. A Donna spinoff would be a huge flop just like the Jessica spinoff and Jessica was a way more liked character. Donna was turned into a very unlikable character. I could see her and Harvey's marriage lasting a couple of years before Harvey gets sick of her spoiled, manipulative, entitled princess antics and files for divorce.
For alot of reasons...
@@freeinghumanitynow Jesus bud... Who hurt you? lol
Donna would have been Siri 😁
Better 😏
I wish The Donna was a real item. I would buy it in a heartbeat!
🤣 How come I didn't know this. I should start watching again.
This is a really heart warming scene tbh
I enjoyed every moment........I don't look with a critical eye....just open to the story❤
Donna is the BEST
Stew earned respect points here
Nice long video. More please.
The ending ❤️
I miss this show would like to see a reunion show
Stu is the kind of dude you want on your side, even as an enemy.
I've been thinking about watching this show since that one youtube short I saw but now because of this episode I'm definitely watching it.
I really liked this part of the series
Why did they need to add the sci-fi sub-plot into Suits?
Feels like a crossover episode of Suits and the Justice League.
I'm more surprised that Benjamin is not a Senior developer or something at Google
@@thatrandomguy8988
Exactly.
An IT tech of his calibre would not be working for a law firm, not even for a prestigious one like Pearson Specter Litt.
Donna is just a cutie
The way she says "that I did" is just lovely
I love Donnnaaa 🥰🥰
1:55 the most hilarious scene 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This was the real plot of the entire show
That plot makes completely no sense. Yes Donna is a secretary, but the partnership also has an I.T. wizkid who developed the machine learning in what is essentially a responsive robot. That kind of algo would be invaluable.
Donna..like the sleek, arrow-like Cutty Sark, scything through rough waters on a starboard tack, sails full, masts bent....when she glides along you watch, then you listen, and if she says "jump to it!", you do, asking how far on the way up.
Nice analogy
To be honest I watch this series for Donna, she is my hero 😎💁🏻♀️🥰💥✨🥰👑
Funny how tv and movie writers think the guy who does your tech support is also capable of single-handedly coding AI chatbots and hacking into NSA
I work tech support on the side of being a professional IT consultant, & augmenting an AI model to be a chatbot is pretty much most college compsci 101 these days 🤷🏻♀️
@@jamiehowarth0 i assure you creating a AI like alexa or siri is a little more complex than your average first year project
@@jamiehowarth0 not to mention being an IT consultant, a software engineer, a computer security expert and a ML scientist with the specific domain knowledge of HCI are four very different things
@@TheSandipDev this guy does more than just tech support. He was presented as a master hacker that got placed to do many illegal stuff.
i think you're all right, for different reasons.
This Sci-Fi "artificial intelligence" à la Knight Rider or Power Rangers was really farfetched. I like the idea of Donna being entrepreneur-like but this felt so incoherent with the World built by previous seasons.
donna and ben had a cute friendship
dana?
@@TheSighphiguy oh whoops fixed it
Damn...I need a Donna in my little world. 🙂
Benjamin is amazing, as a tech and as a person. They should have give him mor time and more interactions. I would have love to see it with Louis xD
And I love Donna.
why'd i get so emotional here.....
Am I the only one who finds it weirdly funny that Donna is talking to herself?
I'd buy it definitely hahaha
Love that line part of being human is messing up sometimes.
For someone who hasn't seen and wont see the end of series. Do we hear any more to this story?
Donna was born ..i wish if i could be this strong and competitive
Donna is gorgeous and a great actress. My favourite person in the whole series.
i want oneee
Amazingly this is basically possible now with llms like cgpt and llama etc
Stu was an amazing character. He needs his own spin off. Suits for traders.
I'd buy it.
it’s such a dumb and out of place bit but it’s so funny
Donna is THE GOAT.
I haven’t even watched an actual full episode of Suits (just these clips that keep popping up in my UA-cam feed) and she might be one of the greatest female “support characters” EVER.
Love ❤️ love men like Benjamin and the investor
I would so buy this! Even if $30-$50 😏😎
The best 👌 or nothing else.
Ngl donna being reminded of her stature was actually very satisfying.
I really liked her character
Sometimes in life in order for you to succeed you need to lose .. what it means start small grow big
i havent seen the show, but this was amazing
I want one.
She's my new favorite
I want a Donna Bootcamp to become Donna lol
Donna is really awesome, and love as a character.
Imagine a product like that on the market 🤣🤣🤣
I'd literally pay 10grand for one
I want Donna. How much it costs?
The Donna ultimately led to her realization that she wanted more than a secretarial career. The writers could've done ANYTHING else to work in that plot other than "The Donna." It was incredibly cringe.
Try to understand
Which is this episode
I love suits but I just find it weird how Donna, Benjamin and Mike all had something close to superpowers and we're told they're just like that. Everything else is a normal law firm dealing with normal cases yet 3 characters have superhuman abilities
I know people like that, and it is normal for them
What episode
Louis would be the First in line to buy a Donna
And that's why Donna is a G.O.A.T
so how it ended?
Another shocking part of donnas character towards the end
This entire episode was a great representation of how simps and social media likes blow up womens egos and how time slaps them down.
I wanna get the Donna
fast forward 2022, chatGPT had over 1 million users in under a week
My name being telecasted
Wait, did she just go into the business with someone who takes 90% of the profit or did I miss something?
Well Stu did agree to cover... 90% of the costs I think. His own money into this and assumed all of the risk. His explanation was it would generate more money. But still you got a point. He's still get 90% of the profit. People complain Valve gets a 30% cut of revenue from games sold on Steam. I can't imagine a lot of people accepting only 10%.
@DC,
A bird in the hand is worth two un the bush.
I like Donna
Which season an episode
And how did it finally turn out? Would somebody spill the ending?
Narcissism at its peak.
🗻
Tested as hyper assistant for devilwears prada and theyve built a show around her hyper efficiency
This is how ChatGPT was invented
Amazing how well this bit has aged.
Louis Litt was my favorite.
These "worst subplot comments" are making me laugh. Didn't realize it was so bad 😂😂😂😂 but it was pretty meh 😐
All in all, I love Suits!
Benjamin should have added a screen and included a calender then just sold it to louis.
Two Words..... Shark Tank XD.
Does people have any idea what a valuable A.I it is, when it can demonstrate empathy? Every single tech company will be jumping on the opportunity.
