This is the little white salmon river. About a 30 minute drive from the town of White Salmon, WA, or a little over an hour from Portland (depending on traffic).
the overboof is essentially the same as a stomp. Both absorb the energy and spread the impact force out by letting the boat sort of lay down onto the water gently so that there isnt a big impact shock to your back. If he landed flat off spirit, his back would be pretty dang sore haha
@@benjohnson2666 I don't think so. You can't say that impact is anything like a stomp. I think he just deals with the impact as he trains his body to withstand it and has a good body position on impact
@@Canoer-rk8xg perhaps i worded that a little wrong. Not the exact same as a stomp. I do see the tail landing first, absorbing energy and the boat slowly pitching from back to front, laying the boat down onto the water. Stomp behaves similarly as you are using the rocker combined with the volume of the boat to absorb the energy and release it over a longer time.
@@lou36heron87 majority of kayakers don't understand what it is. It's basically the act of using your body to leverage the boat in the air to get the nose down and skip out to save your back
