I own this lens.... and the 24-120 f/4 S. I find myself reaching for the 24-120 in the studio, where I'm usually shooting at f/8 anyway. But if I'm shooting a wedding, the 24-70 2.8 S is on my A body (Z9) and the 70-200 on my B (Z8) body. Those bodies and the 50mm 1.2 S is my entire wedding kit this year.
That's a pretty small wedding kit, but honestly I can see how it works. You really don't need anything else. The 50mm f1.2s is a lens I'm thinking of getting. How do you like it?
@@TheProjectPhotography it is amazing. Melts backgrounds. I use it a lot for outdoor portraits. In some of the ridiculously dark places I have to shoot it is perfect on the Z8. But I do regret selling the 50mm 1.8 S to buy this lens. Very different purposes.
I have the 24-120 as well but I do want the 24-70 but I'm not sure how to justify it lol...do you see a meaningful difference between these too lenses in a studio environment?
I wouldn’t use the 24-70 on the zfc, the focal length wouldn’t really make sense as it’d be a 36-105mm f4. If you wanted a standard zoom the 16-50mm would most likely be your best bet
Today I bought Nikon 24-70mm f2.8 S Z series lens for my Nikon Zfc. Waiting to get it from post office. I've never tried before. I hope that will be good. 🙃
Great video! I've been thinking of grabbing this as a travel lens as I am tired of switching between my prime lens'. Would you recommend this lens on the Z50?
Concur! The Nikon 24-70MM f2.8 is a fantastic lens. A fast, flexible, mid-range zoom possessing prime image quality.
This is such a useful review!!

I agree 100 percent! I use mine all the time on my Z6II ! My all time favorite lens!
This lens is magical. It takes the best photos. This lens paired with my Nikon Z8 is the best combination.
I thought this until I used the 50mm 1.2 S lens
I ended up getting this bad boy vs my prime F.2.8 which was heavy and bulky. It's totally worth it for the bucks ain't cheap glass for sake lol
do you think it'll work fine on Zfc without the IS? :(

The most useful, yet, very expensive zoom lens. It's a shame that I only have a APS-C camera (Z50) so having this on it would kind of be a waste.
