For all of you bros apreciating Pitbull's story, I want to add a little insight from a México city native: Pitbull's neighborhood Is no joke, not only Is a very rough, dangerous neighborhood, but it's also a very marginalized, poor neighborhood in wich a lot of people truly live under barely human conditions (I'm talking about no water, earthquake bound houses-level conditions) in wich a good portion of it, it's built almost like a favela. Pitbull's also one of the very few mexican fighters who looks undeniably autoctonous (indigenous related) and that gets a lot of "funny" comments for His appearence, but he proudly represents that sector of Mexican society. He's a truly hungry boxer

Thurman understands explicitly that Tszyu’s opponents have all been very carefully handpicked by his management team. It’s not an act of over confidence on Thurmans behalf- he actually ain’t worried about this guy. If Tszyu freezes up like he did against Gausha we could have an interesting fight on our hands. Tszyu’s weakness is his clumsy footwork and inability to cut off the ring consistently. So often he is actually standing in the wrong place. Thurman could catch him in the early to mid rounds and pull off a huge upset.

I feel like guys underestimate the Tszyu boxing pedigree. They have sharp dangerous right hand, intricate defense with minimal wasted movement. Doesn't look like they do a lot with the untrained eye, but it's tiny movements. Solid chins, willingness to take a good shot to land a better one. Thurman is classic, good American fighter, but I feel a "Kostya Tszyu v Zab Judah" type situation for the modern era. People gotta understand how huge a win would be for Thurman. He's gotta be on point with all his P's n Q's, he's gonna have to be in the best of shape to play his game the whole 12 without falling into Tszyu's game. Very dangerous fight for Keith "five head" Thurman. Props for taking this one. Even if he loses a close decision and doesn't get stopped, kinda like what happened with Pac, it'll be an impressive performance. Tim coming to stop him, but Thurman 100% has a good chance to pull off the upset decision win with a clean boxing performance. I just don't know if he will be able to at this point at a higher weight with a long layoff. I gotta pick Tszyu to win by late stoppage or close decision due to Thurman spending too much time on his bicycle.

I am a huge Tszyu fan and am biased as I'm Austrlian and have followed the career of Tim's father Kostya and his brother Nikita. This will be Tim's hardest test in his career so far. Those who think he's gonna just dominate and sleep Kiethy are being overly optimistic. Shawn Porter thinks Keithy is gonna evade Tsyu's power and that he has an extremely good chance of causing an upset. You better believe that Tim needs to knock out Thurman because if it goes to the judges, then Tim is going to lose on points to the American. So many people don't realise how much advantage there is being the American fighter in a Vegas NV or Madison Square NYC PPV bout against any other national. Tim would get the same advantage if he was fighting in Australia. When Horn beat Paqman in Australia it was because he had the home town advantage. 35yo isnt as much of a disadvantage as people are making of Thurmans age. He will be more hampered potentially by his lack of activity in the last two years, but he has proven an ability to perform after long breaks before previously. Tim might get the job done in 6-8 rounds. Thurman may evade him for 12 rounds and contest on points. I strongly suspect Tim will get the "W" somehow, but am under no illusion that this is necessarily going to be "an easy day at the office" for Tim and I am genuinely wary that Tim may even have to take his first "L" if he leaves the outcome in the hands of the judges. This would be devastating because if he wins he almost certainly faces Crawford next. If he loses it's back to fighting against average skilled opponents in Australia. I want to see Tim take on the best of the best, so am really pumped for him to get past Keithy who should be his gateway opponent to boxing at the highest level and climbing to the top spot in Austrlian boxing history.
