What a great product ! At my age this would help me out a lot…..things get hard from about 60 years old and onward….i can still lay down under any vehicle it’s the getting back up again that hard to do…
As a fellow mobile mechanic (classics & hotrods) who dreams of having a work shop of their own i'm super stoked for ya! Congrats on having the skills, determination and energy to put in the work and reap it's rewards! It's not easy out there, especially these days.
This looks like an extremely compelling product given the features and the ability to put this together yourself and not have it be a sketchy mess! The installing gentleman was outrageously knowledgeable and informative. This was basically a perfect video(I still missed the "hey youtube,*zoom* it's Faye!" Part though!), thank you for sharing and congratulations on such a cool addition to your shop!
I know, I'm so sorry! I filmed this a while ago, and when I was finishing up editing it today, I wanted to record my typical intro.... but I had an infected root canal pulled and my face is swollen and I have a lisp, so it wouldn't have been good 🤣 and Tony is the shit!!! He was so patient and so nice!! It was such an awesome experience getting to work with him!!
Wow! That's a top quality lift! The ability to put it on casters and how it rolls as easily as a shopping cart is mind blowing. AND you can easily break it down and take it with you if you move or buy a permanent shop! You definitely get a lot for the price. I hope this lift has a long service life in your garage, Faye!

industrial lifting mage are all rated 10x min safety margin. this is industry standard not something out of the ordinary. that is why this lift has the rating certifications is has meeting those everyday industrial standards. many of the other lift companies dont bother meeting safety standard of industry, they go 2x to 5x safety factor and call it good. this case with all 4 cables in equal tension even if one fails they never experience the "fall/shock" the other cables would experience with a cable in a lifting sling failing to really require 10x safety rating but it is a nice talking feature and price point justification on this lift. not knocking the lift, i will look at one and see how much a premium they want for the build which should be what all companies be made to build to. retired tooling designer, aerospace engineer, Boeing Space and communications div.
I have this exact lift ( Got it 2021 before the ALI cert was given out) and it just works flawlessly. Grease once a year and it chugs along no issue. I put mine together myself in about 2.5 hours. Mine is in a 36wx24dx12h shop and fits snuggly but enough room to walk anywhere I need
Well I'm definitely going to be looking more into Advantage Lifts. Been needing a lift for years, but prices have gone nuts. Awesome upgrade for the garage, Faye!
They have!! This one was actually extremely affordable. They do offer pricier ones that have different features, but this one was perfect for what I needed. My main concern was safety, because I have used some sketchy lifts. It was only $5500. More than I've paid for a supra, but.... 😉
@@FayeHadley Well I really need a 2 post. The other brand I wanted has gone from $3,000 to nearly $5,500 in 3 years. The Advantage equivalent with a higher weight rating is $3,000 right now. I'll definitely be chatting with them. Put in a good word for me. 😂
This new lift is going to make so many tasks that much easier! Plus the lift acts as a work bench. Only time I am bothered by this style lift is when I need to swing a breaker bar, which is rare. Gonna be great for you!
Only addition, look on the jack where they mount the control, notice it is a square cut plate with sharp corners. I've managed to dig those corners into myself a few times while working underneath. Nothing like a sharp corner to the forehead to wake you up! So I went to the dollar store and grabbed some bright orange pool noodles. Slit them down the side and slip them in place over the sharp edges. I've discovered I buy much fewer first aid supplies ! Added them in other places as well. well, first of all Faye is beautiful. Secondly, if I was deciding on what type of lift to buy… When he showed me the feature of how you just attach the casters and then lower the lift, and it lifts itself up, that would’ve sold me.
Hey Faye, that thing is awesome. I’m so glad you got it but I’m even more glad it’s super safe. Tony was Great love watching somebody do something they know so well the only thing I can think to add and Tony probably mentioned it off camera maybe you could mark out The posts exact locations so if you do move it, you can put it back exactly where it was to maintain a perfect level although if the floors fairly consistent, they may not be necessary. and the panning shot underneath the A91 was pretty epic. Great question! I actually did ask him if it needs to be readjusted because of my floor being not very level, and I included his response (but not my question) in the video. Just regular discrepancies in floor evenness would not cause any adjustment need so marking the floor would not be necessary. And thanks for the kind words 🙏🏻 That was Brandon's drone work!!
Wish I was close to your shop. I'd bring out my 4agze to be torn down. The head had 2.5mm valves installed with the stock valve seats. Hi Faye, I'm enjoying your videos. This and other videos has convinced me to get a 4 post lift. Their website also advertises Backyard Buddy lifts. And another UA-cam channel I watch picked Wildfire Lifts. Can you share what your pre-purchase research revealed that guided you to the Advantage brand of lifts?
WOW! When I started watching I was ehhh, another cheap home lift but as I watched it I realized this is pretty sweet. Can you drive over it in the down position, so you could leave it near your door but still get to your 2 post POS lift? If it had a lift out plate at the front wheel position you could put a front end alignment machine on it and drop the turntable plates in there. How much concrete thickness does it need? Do they deliver to Florida? That LED lighting is great!
Yes you can! I think to make it easier I'd get another set of ramps, so you have one in the front and one in the back then you wouldn't have to move them. But yes I absolutely do that !!
@@FayeHadley I am a few inches short on vert. clearance, but I bet they could remove 6 inches off the post bottoms before they welded them to the base plates if I paid for a special order.... but that is one sweet lift. I need to double stack a mustang and a Vette in addition to having the lift to work on them.
YES!!! I actually just posted a review on TikTok a couple days ago! I have been using it extremely heavily every single day up and down including weekends. It has performed flawlessly and I am so so happy with it!!!
Every 4 post lift has one major flaw and that is you must fight around the forward posts when used for any job including alignments when the front wheels are involved. How about putting the wheels forward of the posts?
Now I know what lift I want, but I definitely need that professional installer. What a great manner he has explaining everything in great useful detail. Such a great video walk through. Enjoy the new lift!
Oh my gosh yes. And they got a ton of feedback from their customers as well who made suggestions and then they actually followed through and made improvements to the lifts. I'm obsessed with this thing I use it everyday.

🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🥶🥶🥶🥶 I would love to know how in the flying funny f**k that damn thing does not tip over!!!! If I used one of them, I'm quite certain I would need to change my boxer briefs every time the vehicle moved at all!!!!! THAT'S A WHOLE LOT OF NOPE RIGHT THERE FOR ME!!! I have been welding for 22½ years and I'm working towards a Master's Degree in Metallurgy, so I'm positive it's safe to say that I understand the strength of steel, but when physics comes into play and up to 3 tons of different forces are applied to those lifts, that's when I question the stability of it!
@@randyherringshaw6325 Proper install is the key, the maxjax are supposed to be bolted to the floor in use. My issue is that while they work, you need to have the correct concrete to anchor them into as well. I saw the bolts on a two post tear out at a friends shop, even though it was 5" concrete it was a weak mix.
As long ss you lift and lock l it’s safer. I wish more mèchanics used thèm. If you don’t hitthe centèr of gràvity, the car won’t slide off a standàrd lift. Glàd you got one Faye!😊

faye, you're so damn awesome! i LOOOVE your giddy laugh. pure joy. this lift looks so awesome and well made. i might have to save some pennies and invest in one from this company. it really sucks rolling around on a garage floor. especially when you either forget to grab a tool that's not down there with you, or you don't know you need a tool until you're down there and nobody is around to help you grab it. thanks for the video! stay awesome!
I just made a review on TikTok about it!!! Have been using it very heavily, up and down multiple times a day every single day including weekends and it has performed like a champion!!! I absolutely freaking love this lift!
Faye is moving up in the world! (Anytime I see someone work in on a ladder at work I can't help to remind them that they are moving up the corporate ladder) 😉😂
Opening shot and music choice was amazing! As an aside, maybe an amateur question, but I couldn't confirm that the lift could raise all four tires up at the same time. I see the jack and see it can slide all the way from front to back but there's only one. Is it just a best practice with these kind of 4-post lifts to not have both the front and back lifted at the same time?
There is only one jack, so with this setup, yes: only one axle at a time. HOWEVERRRR I could definitely put a bottle jack on the platform to lift all 4 wheels at the same time! And, honestly I cannot confirm "best practice" necessarily, I am not sure what is best or proper, but I have definitely done that in the past with other 4-post lifts I have used!!!

I’ve always wanted to see how lifts were put together. Very interesting. Thanks Faye
Congratulations on the new lift!!
As long ss you lift and lock l it’s safer. I wish more mèchanics used thèm. If you don’t hitthe centèr of gràvity, the car won’t slide off a standàrd lift. Glàd you got one Faye!😊
He does a good job of explaining the steps and why. Great Job !
Roommate got a 14 foot lift installed last year, godsend.
🙏🏻
That is bad ass!!! I wish I could install a lift in my tiny ass garage.
Thanks for all your tutorial vids.
Cheers from a Yank in England! 🇺🇸🏴
Yes ! This company is working on another level.
Ummmmmmm excuse me. That rolling lift design is INSANE! Holy what?
I KNOW!!!! And I've actually had this slipped for over a month now and I have rolled it around quite a bit! I really can move it myself without help!!!
@@FayeHadley Does it have to be bolted to the floor before lifting a car or do they say it's okay to leave it unbolted?
I was watching this intensely as I will be shopping for a lift in the future. At the end with the LED light strip put on, all I could think of was, 'TAKE MY MONEY'!!!!!
faye, you're so damn awesome! i LOOOVE your giddy laugh. pure joy.
this lift looks so awesome and well made. i might have to save some pennies and invest in one from this company. it really sucks rolling around on a garage floor. especially when you either forget to grab a tool that's not down there with you, or you don't know you need a tool until you're down there and nobody is around to help you grab it.
thanks for the video! stay awesome!
DUDE! So cool! Congratulations. How do you like it a year later?
I just made a review on TikTok about it!!! Have been using it very heavily, up and down multiple times a day every single day including weekends and it has performed like a champion!!! I absolutely freaking love this lift!
@@FayeHadley 🎉❤🤘
That’s awesome! I’m so glad it was a good investment for you. Keep up (and down) the good work!
So Faye...now that the 6MT is out, when are you trading in? 😉. Nice vid. I'm limited to a Quickjack due to ceiling height. Great looking lift!
Looks like about $8,500+ with the options. I love it! 👍👍
