- Stone goes back in the club after a fight with Jagger. Sonny asks Stone what he thought of Karen's routine, and Stone says that he only saw the first part because Jagger showed up. Jagger sneaks backstage and confronts Karen about her double life. He throws money at her and Sonny kicks him out. Stone later asks Karen how she is doing after seeing Jagger. She is upset but tries to lie and say that she is ok.
When Sonny came on the show it was only for a SHORT time and he was supposed to be a CRIMINAL. Jagger technically was committing statutory rape against Karen too as he was 21 at the time as well. Scotty wasn’t yet recognized as Karen’s father. Once they decided to keep Sonny as a long tern character they cleaned up his act a bit and told his backstory of how he was abused as a child just like Karen. Same with Luke Spencer, he was originally Laura’s rapist and she married him!!! The soaps were a lot different back then.
The tear in Jagger's eye when he looks her in the face towards the end, before he leaves the dressing room is what got me. He was hurt. You could feel it. You could see it through the screen. The background music playing.🎷Ugh. 😢 Jagger loved her with everything inside. Him seeing her like that, doing that to herself. The humiliation for her and also the fact that Karen left him. It really HURT DEEP. I always loved the intensity of his.. as well as I always felt compassion & empathy for him. I absolutely loved his character. 😢
Everyone talking about how bad Sonny is and how Jagger is the good guy but…
All I see in these clips is how happy Karen was. She was exuberant, feeling powerful and confident. Sonny encouraged her to ask for what she wants and he’d give it to her.
Then Jagger walks in and treats her like a piece of meat and leaves her in tears. She asks Jagger to leave and he doesn’t, physically grabs her and throws money at her like she’s trash.
Tell me again who the good guy is here.
Sonny used Jagger to further alienate Karen from other people. This made it easier for him to give her the drugs.
I didn't start watching GH til 2002 but I love watching these classic scenes. The acting was just so natural I'm an extreme fan of Maurice Benard and even though he's manipulating this girl into stripping just to make a buck out of her I really like how they brought his character on it was interesting! I know some people wanna tear him up but this is when he was his SEXIEST! He's a great actor and I will always support him always! I love Jagger he was do protective of Karen and really hot!
This is right around when i started watching. I was hooked. I was like 9. Karen was so hot.

Jagger was in tears when Karen left him that really hurt him I feel empathy for him Sonny manipulating vulnerable Young girl into stripping So he can make money that is just messed up know wonder why Jagger upset I love Jagger his my favorite character
