You should have seen him in Overture. The xrd and strive versions of him were post character growth. He was the exact antithesis of those values before going throw what he did. He was emotional, hateful, resented his father, and wanted to hurt anyone that messed with his friends.
The beach episode will be Potemkin sitting underneath the high diving board sweating profusely and trying to fight the urge to heavenly Potemkin buster.

We see in the first trailer that they're generated directly from Unika's weapon, so they might actually be some new anti Gear tech.

However, at the same time, this series has had multiple manga and even some radio dramas if I recall correctly, so I always figured that an anime would've been done way earlier, like at most a 3 episode ova from the early 2000s or something.

Street Fighter/KoF are traditional 2D fighters, and anime fighters/air dashers have way more in common with those games than other fighting game genres like 3D fighters or versus games. In terms of powers, both Romeo and Delilah are kind of a mystery and there's theories that he's alive in the Backyard in some form. It's basically all based on how the lyrics from his Strive song sounds like someone who's passed a threshold and is trying to reach back to the world of the living.
The old folks like sol, ky, baiken, leo is now sit on the passenger seat. Their story is pretty much done, they're here for supporting the new gen of GG, seems like sin will follow his father's footstep and unika probably become the new sol. Can't wait for this to be aired!

You know I'm actually shocked we're only now getting a guilty gear anime. You'd think there'd have been one years ago like an ova or something but no this is from what I'm understanding the very first guilty gear anime.
GG was always niche.
Street fighter, darkstalkers, samsho, were big names.
Strive gave GG the worldwide recognition needed to make an anime.
@Nparalelo I am aware of guilty gears lack of real success before strive. However, at the same time, this series has had multiple manga and even some radio dramas if I recall correctly, so I always figured that an anime would've been done way earlier, like at most a 3 episode ova from the early 2000s or something.

Dude finally after years, Guilty Gear finally made the jump to anime, I grew up playing the games and the openings for each one is fire, this is a dream come true for me

Yeah. Like in strive, we can clearly see she has better control of her wings and no longer sees her power as a ‘curse’ but as a blessing to protect those who are dear to her. However, judging by her xrd outfit maybe this is briefly after the events of strive’s storymode? But that wouldn’t make sense?? @@Ratty_rat136 it's post strive, Dizzy could still lose control, she just is more confident, the wings have less control but are still present as well. Also Dizzy isn't the violent type

And Ky and Dizzy try to coexist between humans and gears until that girl Unika show up bring the "Crusader" all over again. Street Fighter/KoF are traditional 2D fighters, and anime fighters/air dashers have way more in common with those games than other fighting game genres like 3D fighters or versus games. Lots of players, most top players even, jump between GG and SF way more than they go for Tekken or VF.
Overall just a real boomer/purist take tbh.

In terms of powers, both Romeo and Delilah are kind of a mystery and there's theories that he's alive in the Backyard in some form. It's basically all based on how the lyrics from his Strive song sounds like someone who's passed a threshold and is trying to reach back to the world of the living.
