I feel like theres so many of these creeper world maps where the initial danger is like 1 wave of creep and then the rest of the map is just the player pushing, no more threat, you set up rockets and snipers and you're completely safe and untouchable. I loved the egg-zilla map, so exciting, an actual risk of losing at any moment, having to make key decisions to save your dudes
See, now you're using cannons correctly. Just build a bunch of them and land them in the creeper. They're expendable. Use mass mortarts to thin out the next landing spot, use mass cannons to clean it up.
You sent in a death squad of turrets... but didn't use conversion on the landing zone. If you convert the landing zone, they may be able to land before the creeper takes back the area.
Some say Tom is compensating for something with the number of cannon he builds, I think he merely enjoys re-enacting military tactics from a period before his grandfather was born.

You did not lose only 300 units, I'm pretty sure the number on the left is what you actually lost. I love your content regardless Tom, you've learned if you just become a version of the creep with your turret wave assaults, you'll beat the creep at its own game.
Blobs that run through unfinished building just cancel them and keep going to their target. If they run into something built on their way it does make them explode though. So a thick wall of towers can protect.

Honestly the game seems really cool and is very well rated. At a guess it's probably their first time doing influencer marketing.

Building in the tower green zones does t mean anything. It doesn’t reduce the power generation
