    Your presentation is so clear and slow enough for this old bloke to follow. I took copious notes and have lots of exciting times ahead! Many thanks.

    Exactly the content we want to see on this channel! 💯
    I love creating different cups of coffee (with the same beans) just by switching up the variables.😊 What I recently discovered is that when I have beans which I‘m not able to brew a cup I really enjoy, I just do the bypass method (inverted) and only run half the water through the grounds and add the rest afterwards - the result is always a super clean and sweet cup which never disappoints! 😁

      Ah, interesting! Why do you suppose that improves things?

      @@AeroPress Alan the inventor said that using less water & diluting after extraction results in a sweeter coffee.

      I would guess that the sweet/citrus notes, which come out earlier than the bitter notes, saturate teh solution, so that bitter notes are more difficult to extract into the brewing water. both before and after dilution this leads to a sweeter/less bitter coffee. for a dark roast, there's not many citrus notes to speak of, so that's still minimal despite being increased by dilution method of brewing.

    I love the AeroPress. I gave up my V60. AeroPress championships are nothing more than a smart marketing.

    Super cool channel! Thanks for the information, I found it very interesting and helpful. Would love to see more videos on different recipes and adjusting variables, and different brewing methods. Also would like to see how you would recommend brewing different coffee from various region’s. ☕️ ☕️

    The thing about making the best cup of coffee is I have no idea what the best cup of coffee tastes like

    • @olivepressdesign
      @olivepressdesign 2 роки тому +1

      So true. I went into a coffee roaster / coffee shop a few weeks ago and asked them to brew me their best espresso because “I wanted to taste what coffee is supposed to taste like.” I still have no idea 😂 But what I did learn is to trust my own subjective taste. If it doesn’t taste good (whatever that means to me) then it’s not a good cup of coffee for me. ☕️ ❤️ 🙏

    The randomness i create when brewing by the eye, can not be replicated by any die.

    What is the make of electric kettle you use in the video?

    • @AeroPress
      @AeroPress  4 роки тому

      It's a Brewista. Not bad, but if you're in the market for a temp. controlled, gooseneck kettle, I'd recommend the EKG from Fellow.

    Love the video!
    Just want to clarify a bit more on effect of bloom on the extraction. How do (1) bloom time and (2) water volume used in bloom period affect the extraction?

    • @AeroPress
      @AeroPress  4 роки тому +4

      Thanks, Dave. Good question - I’m not 100% sure, but I’d suggest that more than a certain amount of water for a certain amount of time stops being effective in helping to release and dispel CO2 and just starts brewing the coffee. Typically I find that 2x the coffee dose for 30-45s is enough to do the job well (ie 15g of coffee, use 30g of bloom water for 30 seconds). Thanks for watching!
