Only given credits are necessary, that's the only condition. Credits would be totally fine as a small text in the movie, website etc. written "Music by Adrian von Ziegler". In live shows and other projects where including a text would be difficult, an oral mention would suffice as well. =) On UA-cam and twitch you can also use my music for free even if you monetize your videos by the way! ANY school projects have automatic free permission to use my music, no license payment is required. If the project is commercial, meaning it makes money in any way (except UA-cam and twitch, see above), you would have to buy a license for the music you want to use. The license payment would be small in almost all cases except for big budget productions. It would be a one-time payment, so you can use the music you bought forever in that project. It does not give you any rights over the music however, so remixing the music, re-selling it etc. is not allowed. Giving credits is also necessary in commercial projects. Please note that "for free" only applies to the usage license. Music is my full-time job and is where 100% of my earnings come from. So no mater what you use my music for, whether it's commercial or non-commercial use, I appreciate that you purchase the music instead of downloading it for free. Many people misunderstand this part so I need to clear this up. I love making music, but if everyone would just get it for free I would not be able to pay rent, so please understand. It was always my dream to make enough money to survive with music being my only job, and that is only possible because of people who go and buy that music. Remixing, sampling and other forms of altering the original song into a new piece of music is also generally not allowed unless the remix is 100% non-commercial and labelled with the original title and author of the song (me). Adding bird noises, nature sounds or similar things are allowed. Nightcore alterations are also allowed while non-commercial and labelled with original title and author (Google "Nightcore" in case of confusion). So if your project is non-commercial or a UA-cam project, just give credits and there is nothing holding you back from using my songs. REQUESTED MUSIC: I generally do not accept offers to make songs on request or to write music for movies, games etc. One reason is that I can't handle it time-wise but even if I had the necessary time I would still stay away from it because I - quite honestly - don't really like to do it.^^ I basically make music to express whatever topic moves me, randomly. I tried it a few times but I have the best creativity and feel the most freedom and happiness when I do that completely alone and without being “employed” by someone. I hope that’s understandable.^^ Important: I do not allow my music to be used in any project that has a clear political, racist or discriminatory message or is pornographic. By that I mean anything that goes from direct political, racist or discriminatory videos or underlining speeches with my music, onto remixing my melodies into a song that has lyrics with clear political, racist or discriminatory message and similar things that clearly promote these things. Same goes for explicit pornography. Media with nude art is allowed, if not pornographic in nature and purpose. I hope you're having an awesome day, and thanks a lot for being interested in my music! =)
Hi Adrian, for quite some time, I'm thinking about purchasing your entire discography because I love your music. But, I have one question regarding your future songs... I guess the complete discography doesn't include access to future pieces right? Because I would like to have all the songs you make in one place, which unfortunately now is only youtube - so you got no money for that... But getting the discography now and having to get all future songs later one by one doesn't sound appealing. So I'm still kinda indecisive what to do... Other than that, keep up the good work :-)
close your eyes, breathe deeply all the while listening to Yuki... and you are magically in the deep snow of the forested slopes of the Central Alps of Japan... perhaps on the old Kiso Road, in Old Japan. a beautiful piece of musical art.
When I hear this song, I feel like watching "Memoirs of a Geisha". This reminds me somehow of the movie, and especially the snow dance scene :) This piece of music is an art, like the geisha on the picture... Love it ♥
A new 20 minutes long relaxing song, as promised! =) This one was quite difficult, because I was only able to use a scale of 6 notes and one (!) chord, the ground note. I always wanted to make a Japanese 20min song though, since such a long time, so that obviously couldn’t make me give up on it.^^ I hope you enjoy it, I noticed that the song sounds rather mysterious and at some points pretty intense, kind of on the border to what some would be able to call “relaxing”. For me personally it’s relaxing, but everyone is different, so… I don’t know, I just went with the title based on my own perception. The title of the song means “snow” in Japanese. You can get the song here, together with all my other music, the song number is 286: adrianvonziegler.bandcamp.com/album/the-complete-discography You can also support me and my music directly on Patreon if you wish: www.patreon.com/AdrianvonZiegler
The piece is absolutely amazing. The wind blowing in the background makes it perfect. My only wish would be having it twice or triple that long :) Thank You.
The moment when it started playing, scenes from "Memoirs of a Geisha" started flowing in my mind... And then I imagined being into a tea shop in Kyoto's Gion Koubu hanamachi, drinking sake while watching maikos and geishas performing... But then I'd turn my head and watch snow falling in the night through the windows, slightly illuminated by the lanterns outside the shop... Wonderful!! P.S.: Since spring is what comes after winter, we now wait for a "Sakura" to "bloom" :) Or maybe even a "lotus" :D
The word Yuki is so diverse and has so many meanings. This masterpiece brings me back to the era of shōguns, to a small samurai village called Yuki in the mountains of Japan. A peaceful time for the village because of winter where the Yuki (snow) inhibits enemy advancement. Life in the village is simplistic, everyone living in harmony with nature and each other. Not far from the Village a young Geisha named Yuki takes a walk through the winter landscape to balance herself and meditates. Thank you, Adrian, for being a travel agent for dreams...
Wow, Adrian! I just spoke with you on FB the other day about how my children and I love your music as it's so relaxing, but this oriental style takes the cake for me. I have always been in love with Chinese and Japanese traditional music and this is an absolutely stunning arrangement. Thank you for this!

It is a bath of light for me. Thanks brother. There are warriors that go to fight, and there are warriors that keep the fire alive when the others are on the battlefield. I absolutely love the points within this piece in which you just hear the "atmosphere" but no music. This is an extraordinary piece. I hope you create more like this. And I love your other Asian themed pieces as well. Incredible stuff.
Thank you for bringing beauty into this world. I consider Art as sacred: the process to catch an idea/emotion and weave it into music. And you do it in a admirable way!
"They say that she finished him off. She ate his heart and continued wandering around the woods. But others say that all he found in the basket was a pile of snow.
