I liked this song, how could I have never heard of them? , it seems impossible , at one time or another they included members of The Go Betweens and the Triffids, The Auteurs and Loop. I only learned of their existence yesterday, in another world I would have been a fan since 1986. Thank you so much for sharing!
Was unfortunately below the radar at the time - it was 3 or 4 years out of date. Luckily means nothing now. One of the best guitar lines of the era. Great, great song.
I think it must have been just about 1990 or possibly 1989. I use to work for the distribution company for Paperhouse, Pinnacle Records. I've got the CD of Disinterested. I must dig it out as it used be my favorite. I had to record it on to 'cassette' and wander around London listening. Those were the days. Before iPods and MP3's :)
Had the album but unfortunately through various moves no longer have it. I used to love to wander through the streets of London, coolly observing the world while listening to it on my Sony Walkman. The Album is called Disinterest. Anybody know where I can get hold of it again?

It's a band called the Servants who pre-date the Servant by a fair old years
Also Luke Haines is my hero.
Love the melodic bass lines. Reminds me of The Krayolas.
