Which hand digger do you have and how do you like it?? I got the Excalibur hand digger, and i think its okay so far, only used maybe half a dizen times so far, i like that it has the shark teeth on both sides, i didnt like that it has a metal handle, so i wrapped mine in hockey grip tape, and so far that tape is holding fine My last digger was a Garrett and it snapped when i wasnt even prying all that hard, must have just been the straw that broke the camels back My digger before then was a amazon special, but it bent on me after a few months, and recently i bought a temu digger for $15 that looks exactly like the amazon one i had, keep that just in case my excalibur breaks i have a back up i can use till i get another good one
Mine is the Nokta Makro Premium Digger, it's held up quite well so far and seems very strong. I also started with the basic Amazon special, the green painted steel one with the orange handle, I think a lot of people start out with it, I found it too dull and it took too much effort to cut. Still need to work on my plug technique.
@@ScoopyJoe I had a different one not the orange one, but I bought my mom the orange one and I used it for 1 day when my Garret broke and I totally agree that it's super dull and hard to saw the soil with
@@digginggopher Definitely need the right tool for the right job. The very first time I went out I used a small garden shovel and it broke almost immediately haha.
Hi 😊
Very nice !!!
How fun doing this with and at the family house.
Yes! I'll try and go back sometime this spring. Thanks for watching!
@@ScoopyJoe Most welcome!!!
6 hours is pretty good session, i get tired after 2-3 and that includes my travel time because i walk everywhere, i dont drive
Yeah 6 hours is the upper limit for sure, definitely wouldn't have the energy for that though if I didn't drive to the locations.

@18:18 You can definitely tell that is a old silver ring, calling it a toe ring, really 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Lol I guess I'm too used to beach detecting lately where a small ring usually means it's a toe ring. 🙃
