Thank you for this. I made the same "mistake" and the same issue... I'm trying to figure out how to remedy the problem as I'm nowhere near as handy as you are. I can't even get the red dot off the first plate.
I do not believe they supplied correct size allen key for red dot to be removed from the picatiny rail mount which is strange. As they supplier a torx for side bolt to it and a very small one for maybe adjusting the zero. Did you also strip the torx at the top? Novritsch confirmed yesterday they will have new plates within 2 weeks so ill wait for that.
@@sebsrepairs2315 Yes, I did the exact same thing you did which is how I found your video. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong and thought it was something on my end due to how unhandy I am. Perhaps misery loves company, but I was glad to see I wasn't alone. I too will also wait for the updated plates before attempting this again. I was so excited when they finally got them back in stock originally, but perhaps that was my mistake. A lot of their videos are helpful but not entirely a fair representation of a new airsoft gun. Sometimes I wonder how many times they've taken the parts off before filming because I sure couldn't do it with the ease they made it out to be. If I wanted to do a lot of moding, I wouldn't have purchased a Novritsch. I thought I was buying something where it was better thought out and finalized.
I'm now ready to but this red dot and the plate that's needed for it. The question is, has this issue finally been resolved?? I don't wanna end up buying a first Gen plate from their website, only to find out I'm gonna have this exact same issue..
Hey man, do you think every ssp5 needs to loosen the screw in order to fit the red dot? Planning to get myself one for the first time and i don't have much knowledge to be honest
I got replacement screw from ebay (hex) fits just fine. So mine is up and running the plates will be in stock within two weeks as i been told by Novritsch. They refunded me for the plate and set of new screws plus free shipping but still I do not understand why they made this so problematic with extra plates etc and why is this small part always out of stock. Should be super easy to make

I think so. Very bad design imho.
@@sebsrepairs2315 i saw on the website stating 2 versions of SSP5. First batch and second batch..
Would you happen to know what version is yours?
Not sure but had it well over a year now
You can confirm it through the spring guide if there's an hole infront that is designed for allen key, that means you got a batch #2.
It´s a 3,5mm screw this is totaly shit ! ;( At the moment the adapter plate is out of stock, maybe they fix the issues already !
