When making wire do you have to work your way from the wide groove to the small one Or do you stay on the wide groove but keep tightening it until can’t tighten nomore ? Or just get it tight then work your way from wide to small grooves this part confuses me and no information on it at all
It's a great hack but it only works on this type of rolling mill with a bar that transfers power from one side to the other. None of the rolling mills is have could do what yours does. Otherwise, a hand powered winch attached to a board or a 2" X 4" will do it, or simply stepping on the drawplate with both feet, bending down and holding the end of the wire with pliers and getting back up straight while pulling up with both hands.
Hello! I see the Borax on your bench, can you tell me what you use it for? I use this in doing my laundry and have often wondered if this was the same borax I've seen in other videos. thanks!
@@carmenbray2932 I use it with recycled silver..(old jewelry and such) to release foreign metals and dirt/oils that have been part of the silver I'm melting down. Once you have you're melting crucible covered(with borax) and heated to a cherry red the borax will act like a barrier. If you melt old jewelry with iron springs in it like earrings or clasps they stay "fused" to the crucible bowl. Keeping it away from you're good silver metal.
Hi. Is there a list of videos that are like this one? Meaning without the background music? Im totally bummed to stumble across this video and then subscribed and the next 3 all have that background music.
Very clever adaptation and improvisation with the bargain tooling.
This changes the game! Thank you!!!
Awesome trick ❤… Thankyou for your trade sharing …

I don't have that exterior roll on my mill - could I attach the strap to my handle some how??
maybe put the strap through the rollers to pull it?

@@carmenbray2932 yeah, any "borax" is good. I bought some off Amazon, it was about 10$. Will last me easily a few years for a 2 pound bag.

I have the same rolling mill, fantasticly cheap, and it works great.
You need to get a liquid oxygen tank from airgas. it's a game changer
Thanks for the nice video, you gave me some ideas ❤
You're not going to make a 5" piece of round wire that way though!
“Just keep turning that metal and hitting where you need to hit it” 😂
Dude, WD-40. Seriously
