Man! I installed on my fc and I didn’t bend that part and I think the rod was going in crooked. The cylinder had some play to it and would go in crooked so it got damaged. Now I have to see if they will sell me a new piece
Damn that's terrible to hear! The rod is replaceable. I had my dad look at it, he has over 50 years of experience with brake boosters and master cylinders.
Brake pedal is consistent. You do have to use some leg power to come to a complete stop. Especially in stop/go driving. I got used to it rather quickly and now I don’t notice the effort.
@@supradoom it does take significant effort for regular street driving. On track the first few laps threw me off but I quickly got a gauge for the pressure required to brake according to the output that I wanted. Overall I really like the set up. My only complaint is a small creak somewhere in the assembly. I guess it’s from all the force being exerted to the brake pedal assembly. It’s not load but on slow breaking you can feel it just a tad. Nothing I can’t live with.
@@darbet83not a bad idea actually. I’ll have to have some designed and fabricated. Nothing too crazy. Unfortunately the stuff on the market is for the oem master cylinder and for some damn reason only for RHD cars
@@Gabrielized. that is because they are made for/by the Japanese as they love bolt on mods like that .i have a cousco one and it made the brakes feel more positive especially under harder braking . Easy enough thing to fab up
Thanks for the detailed video about the install

hows the brake pedal feel and modulation after the booster delete? i have the 626 upgrade and it definitely made modulation a lot harder

How about ob the race track . What is the pedal effort like ?
I know him!!!
Whats the long term review of that Chase Bay Booster elimination? Is it a ton of work to brake now?

You should look at getting a brake stopper or brace to the master cylinder to stop the firewall flex
