    59:28 Robert Smith not only converted the 3-6-10, but he destroyed the hell out of that safety glass due to how hard he shoots his spares.

    Its literally impossible to beat Walter Ray on telecasts at this particular bowling alley, go back and look at those other wins from Walter. So what Robert did here was near impossible bucking with the history of this tournament. This could be considered an upset.

      I loved all the telecasts they did there. I truly hate the whole Bolero thing and how bowling is only played for a portion of the year, as if it isnt a year round sport. They dont even realize the errors of everything they are doing compared to when bowling was the #1 show on TV.

    Its funny how many dinosaur bowlers complain about two handers "cheating" but Robert Smith put more on it and threw it harder and he isn't "cheating". Only problem with bowling is close minded bowlers.

      Belmo would probably still be able to do 500rpm at age 70 while most crankers start stroking/cutting down revs within the first 10 years of their years.

    • @Mainzer74
      @Mainzer74 Рік тому +1

      @@omegavladosovich6757I believe Belmo has cut down his rev rate in recent years as well citing more consistent reaction. He is super smooth though. And hopefully he can stay healthy.
      Smith was using a Sarge Easter grip to cut down on Rev Rate and still was capable of getting to 600+ rpm or better. But alas Robert had some hip issues.

    • @UhKimboze
      @UhKimboze Рік тому +5

      @@Mainzer74 it makes me wonder like was his physiology just perfect for high rev rate or did he understand it better than anyone else ever did?

    • @omegavladosovich6757
      @omegavladosovich6757 Рік тому +1

      @@Mainzer74 yeah my point is that 2hands gives better physical longevity than, whether it is unfair or not. Chris Barnes and Tim Mack used to be hard crackers but struggled with their physical condition and became strokers. Robert Smith tried twohanding for a while but went back to one hand recently.

    • @NateCraven318
      @NateCraven318 Рік тому

      @@omegavladosovich6757 Bobby went to two hands because he was suffering from a nerve condition called fibromyalgia; with this condition, even a small cut can feel like a gunshot (depending on the severity of the condition). From what I read that petered off and he's back to one hand.
