In addition to that, if the mom wanted OP to stay quiet, then the mom should have kept the sister in check. Expecting OP to remain a verbal punching bag for the adoptive sister was beyond idiotic. The dad is also a piece of work for letting the mom dictate who the favorite was. He may have not known the reason for the favoritism was because one was his child and the other was the child of the ex that the woman really wanted to be with, but he still allowed one to bully the other just because that's what the mom wanted.
