Leave it yellow. It looks great. People who say if it wasn't yellow I would pay 200k are also saying they can't afford to paint it. I call BS.
in a way thats how i feel. On the other hand I think some might just not want to bother with repaint
My heart breaks. I like the yellow…but I don’t have the money to buy it. I just repainted my 78 regular cab short bed 4x4 it’s OEM “Dark Jade Metallic “ that’s a stunningly beautiful green. Remember there is an ass for every seat…best of luck 🍀
It's salvageable. Proof the FORD held up well
@@FordEra I'd take a dozen OBS Fords over an over priced new Super-Duty any day. Better to fix, cheaper on taxes and insurance, plus STILL fun and safe to drive.
I am glad you are OK and that the at fault driver had auto insurance. I hope you don't get jacked around by their insurance company.
Needs to stay yellow! Pee on the haters. There's an ass for every seat and a color for everyone! I have ayellow one and EVERYONE loves it!
Thank God You were alright 🙏🏻and Black interior all the way with black exterior and silver center,,and the yellow just doesn’t do the body style justice of the era,Old School look is always 🏆
Just glad youre okay man, trucks are easily fixed and like you said it doesnt look too bad.
The truck did it's job it protected you. I'm happy you're ok,BUILT FORD TOUGH BABY!!!. Black! Definitely black! All black as long as you get back on the road it deserves it.
Deep Metallic Blue! Factory Ford color with the center section still white but with a hint of sand color. MINT!🤙🏻🏁
Oh man that sucks
Disbelief and shock sucks
Don’t rush making decisions
Glad your all ok
Sad to see you so upset but glad you're ok. I hope that everyone in the accident is. Trucks can be fixed. You're ok and everything else will be ok again too.
Glad everybody’s ok. Doesn’t look too bad to fix. I think these trucks look great in blue.
Color change is just going to spend more money on it that you won't recover. I say count your blessings it wasn't any worse and nobody got hurt. Yellow really narrows down potential buyers but it is what you have there. I say fix it back and maybe add some free style inspired graphics in the white area.
Glad your OK.
Trucks can be fixed. Black with Free Wheeling reflective stripes would be Awesome!
Glad you’re ok man!! That’s what’s important. For the paint work I would either leave it yellow or paint the yellow black and leave the interior as is. Maybe you could do some yellow accents like pinstriping the trim yellow instead of black.
Like I said the first time you "what the trucked" that Beautiful build , that the top of cab from the belt trim at back of cab to the windshield would look alot better white , leave it yellow and white but paint the top white , Glad to hear your ok
Two tone,,, Black and Yellow.. Like a bee. That way you wouldn't have to touch the interior...Thats a beautiful truck,,, I had a 79.. Nicest looking truck ever.
Greetings from Ireland. That sucks. I recently bought a yellow 1970 Ford Zodiac truck, something like a Ranchero (originally it was a hearse). I liked the colour at first but wasn't sure but now I love it.
Good to see you're ok. l'd leave it yellow. The only thing l don't like are the wheels. Replace them with old school style wheels like you have on Snickers. The truck will look more classic while being modern underneath.
Glad your ok. I had the same thing happen to our 79 Bronco a week after full restoration. The other gut ran a red light. I did not have special insurance so they wrote it off and only gave us 12k for the truck. I had more than that just in the powertrain. If I was going to repaint it I would go with Cinnamon glow and white or black and red.
OUCH Solomon whoever gives you money towards the paint then change the color. It’s a beautiful truck.
I love the truck it sucks but glad everybody is okay. As a fellow young person your stuff has inspired me to learn more about these awesome old trucks. The bright yellow is sick and reminds of my late grandfathers full bright yellow f26 camper special that I have never seen another like
Thanks man, I’m glad i can inspire you. That really made my day.
Sounds like your grandfather knows what cool is
@@FordEra thank you, I hear he really was. I am surprised that thing is still around. He used to drive it though ponds to scare my cousins and the truck was fine. I heard those stories and didn’t really believe it until I did brakes and saw all of the mud that came out of those rear drums
Black or blue and replace the wood grain. Update it basically. Bead locks gold.
I had a guy back into my driver door, not paying attention to not hit the lambo parked next to me. Can’t match the paint. Bodywork was impeccable. I got a $15k check from the insurance company, which doesn’t cover half. Sucks man.
Oh well. They are trucks for a reason. It’ll eventually buff out. Glad everyone is safe.
- The KMC F150 “bofa truck”
gday mate .. glad to see you came through that without any bumps n bruises.
as for the rig .. to me it isnt the yellow thats the issue - its the white - gotta change that up to black or a dark blue, green, grey etc .. rims look pretty ugly too.
just my opinion .. cheers bro🤘
Black with center charcoal grey!! metalic in both paints
That is not too bad that can be pulled out. The hidden damage is the one that can be worse.
Black with free wheelin stripes would be sharp!! I also think the new ford eruption green with wimbeldon white would look great too!
Lots of money it took but even with little you can fix that over time glad you're ok
Wow, that really sucks. Glad you're okay!
I wouldn't change the colorway though.. That's an insane amount of work and money. If it were me, I'd just replace the fender, grille, headlight and bumper then call it a day. The hoods an easy fix.
Take it to 23rd garage TN , Nate and Don will fix you up ,make a video about the repair together , their work is second to none
Man, what a bummer!!! Gotta love FL drivers... they're bad in Orlando, but I know they're even worse in Miami. Hopefully, you can get the original shop that did it to fix it. I like the yellow, I think it looks great. Green is my favorite color for sure, but a lot of people don't like green. I bet black would be the easiest color to sell it.
The yellow is amazing!!!
@@FordEra This is Macen by the way and I partial to that yellow because I had the identical 79 f150 . Looks like your doing well keep it up !!
I think a nice green would look good. I'm glad you're O.K., the truck can be fixed.
Glad your ok! Now she looks like my 78 crew cab 4x4 with the Elvis lip👍
So thankful that no one was injured. Leave it yellow. Looks perfect in that color. Video ending with “smash the like button”…. I can’t like this one today, let alone smash. 😢
Red and white would look awesome !
Dam it man another ford down! My other buddy just fixed his f350 frok when a lday pulled out in front of him two years ago and he just fixed it now like a week or two ago and not even a week later again another car pulled out in front of him while hes pulling his enclosed trailer with his other car inside! Im hoping insurance goes through and they dont total it out on you. Keep your head up buddy glad your ok man. I mean i would keep it same color and if i had the cash id buy it in a heartbeat off ya.
Damn that Toyota!!
@@FordEra that's for sure just the paint work! I know you were calling Eddy for some parts
You should consider the 1979 Ford F-150 pro-line paint scheme or a charcoal grey with black trims
Shows how tough those trucks are man absolutely crushed that other car and your truck looks like you can hit the same spot 5 more times - truck did it’s job and protected you I’m sorry man
Bummer! Everything can be replaced except the moulding. Dennis carpenter stopped manufacturing the chrome back in 2019😢 Good luck!
On a lighter note, your truck looks to only have gotten a little bit of a booboo, but that Camry is clearly totalled.
Glad you're good. Seems to be a somewhat minor repair. If I were to change the color at all, maybe flip it, so the yellow body parts are white and the white body parts are yellow. Personally, I'd just replace the damaged parts, and keep driving.
Welcome the world of driving on Americain roads let's hope the have insurance
Hang in there!
Leave it yellow! It looks amazing. Too few yellow cars these days.
@@FordEra big conspiracy about dulling down colors we see everyday in order to stifle happiness, creativity, etc. But some people attribute the lack of color in modern cars to resale value and insurance cost. Cheaper to repaint a black or grey car than a bright yellow or purple.
They are not buying because its yellow?? They aren't building their own Raptor dentside either 😮
people who were seriously considering buying this truck, did commission the builder to build them their own so yes
Boa sorte amigo !
Yellow if you want a lower price when you sell it . just change the color to anything except pink .
Do NOT paint it green, it needs to be black with the loud stripes. Glad everyone is okay.
Dude,,, There's no crying in restomods.
This sucks, I know the feeling. I have 96 f150 I was only driving about 3k miles a year. I hadn't drove it in 2 months and decided to take it out a reckless driver running a red light hit us. It's been over a year and it's sitting in my garage still. Just waiting on the right time and resources to get it back on the road.
That sucks but you’re not hurt and it’s definitely fixable
Paint it dark blue / silver. I'll buy it. Have $$$$$$
Sorry to see this happen to you and the truck. I hope it all works out for you and the truck . I love the yellow.. My thoughts are if you want to put down 200k on the truck and cant stump up the cash to pain it your not a serious buyer Love channel your from an Effie nut in Australia.
If you repainted it in cinnamon glow and Wimbledon white it’d definitely look amazing. I want to do that color combo with one of mine one day. I do like the yellow though!
Hopefully, that Camry driver has current and good insurance; earlier this past summer, my brother was just a block from home after working second shift, and he was turning right onto his street, when a drunk driver popped over the hill and crashed into him head on. The idiot DID NOT have insurance!!!
It’s a newer Raptor with body parts that can be bought from a catalog…it’ll be ok.
Glad you are OK. Also glad you were in a older very solid truck. Trucks can be fixed, humans not so much.
thank you and amen
Isn’t it actually a newer truck?
@@iansteward4708 Yeah, it's built on a newer F-150 frame and just wrapped with vintage Ford truck sheet metal. There's a big misconception that older vehicles are safer and that could not be further from the truth. Newer vehicles are a hundred times better in a crash than cars/trucks from 40 or 50 years ago. I love vintage cars and trucks as much as the next guy, but facts is facts.
@@nathanmcdonald610they’re not safer but I think people get the part where they can take more of a hit and not have so much damage confused with being safer but the person inside will still get fucked up cause the car/truck isn’t absorbing the impact as much as a newer car/truck will.
