I'm 13 and wanna do ballet so bad, but I have no dance experience and am very unflexible, but this just gave me so much relief and motivation. THANK YOU SO MUCH
If you have any advice so far pleassseeee let me know lolll I’m 13 and wanna do ballet but I have no experience either ,,I wish I had a friend who did ballet to help or something like 🙏🏽🙏🏽😭
Hey guys, I'm 13 and started ballet, contemporary, jazz, acro, and contortion less than a year ago. I'm on a company team at a studio I love, and I've gotten a few skills that only a couple of dancers in my studio have. I just went for it and practiced daily. That's all you really need to do. Honestly, you just need to practice all day, every day. To be honest, it will hurt, and at times, you will want to quit, but it's worth it. Sorry for such a long comment, lol. My point is, just try it, and if you like it, don't give up. 🩰💃🤸♀️
Im 14 but I did ballet for 3 years when I was younger and later quit, but recently I’ve wanted to get back into it so badly. My mom and my aunt both have degrees in dance so I go to recitals a lot, and everytime I go I’m so jealous of the girls on stage. I want to do it so bad but everyone starts so young. Hopefully I’ll get into it tho!
Same! I’m so glad I’ve found someone that I can relate with. I did a class when I was 7, the teacher even said I would be a perfect fit for the school, but I declined it to go to hip hop. I so so soooo regret that. I’m 14 now and I wish I would’ve taken the opportunity. Now I’m looking into classes! What about u?
OMG! Same!!! I did ballet when I was 8-10 and then I quit. And Now I’m 15 and I always wanted to do it again and I’m going to take on Ballet class a week this school year! But ofc it’s a class with 8-10 yr olds- but yes! I’m looking forward to this school year and starting my late Ballet journey!! (As soon as I’m able to find motivation)
I have never took a dance class but I don't know why I feel extremely passionate about ballet, not contemporary, not jazz, just ballet. I find peace in ballet music and my eyers are blessed every time I watch ballet dancers. I am heavily moved every time I watch ballet performers and aspire to become one--but for the longest time I just can't gather the courage since I think that at 14 it might be too late to start. I'm afraid that I won't be able to use the proper set of muscles that ballerinas learn to use starting out young. Or that I just can't be as talented as those who were taught much earlier. I'm willing to suffer a little bit but I don't know if ballet really is for me to learn, or maybe I should just be an audience.
HIII!! I felt the same as you, I have always had that passion for ballet but I have never had the courage to actually do it for the same reasons. I am 15 years old and on the 9th I am starting ballet. It has been very difficult for me because I was afraid that it wasn't my thing or that people would judge me, but that doesn't matter when I am finally going to have the opportunity to do what I like, what I'm truly passionate about. I understand how it feels, but if you never try, you will spend the future regretting it. I encourage you to follow your dreams!! (Sorry if it's not spelled well, English is not my native language).
I started ballet at 11. It's been almost 3 years now, and it's been the best 3 years of my life. I've been in pointe for 9 months probably, and the last 3 years have been the best of my life. It gets hard sometimes, especially seeing younger people in my studio doing much better than me in class, but keep pushing and always remember to turn out. :)
@@forevelyner6220 I started late when I was 12 but managed to get on pointe fast (14) since when your older with previous sorts experience that help ballet like swimming and running, you tend to have much more strength which also gets better faster. Saying that you do need to have good technique and ballet understanding before doing pointe
@@emilyylfno way im a swimmer and runner! thanks for saying that it is helping me. I want to make it on broadway someday and i havent stepped foot in a dance class i get sooo discouraged but its better to start now than later. (im 14)
hi 💕I just started ballet , I'm 14 and I'm in a class with 10 and 11 yo girls , i just wanted to thank u for making this video , u have no idea how you boosted my confidence and made me feel okay about the age gap between me and my classmates . also I currently am the worst in the class , because even if I have a lot of passion for this discipline , sometimes comparing myself to the other girls brings me down , but I'll definitely try my best to improve and catch up with the others . this helped me so much , thank u for sharing your story and some amazing tips , I feel soo much better now 💗
Thank you so much! I'm 16 and always wanted to do Ballet and now I can, as a hobby, but I know if I want some improvement i'll need to focus. You've encouraged me a lot more, thank you! New sub, btw! XxX from Brazil. God bless you🤍
so i’m 14 and recently i’ve really been wanting to do ballet. when i was about 3-5 i did ballet and i had to quit because i was moving and it was too expensive. i’m going into highschool and i think i’m not gonna do running anymore but i’ve been rlly wanting to do ballet and dance. i haven’t danced since and i’m scared that i’m going to start ballet and not like it or not be good. i’m also scared that i’m too old to start without any training
It’s so cool seeing people my age wanting to start ballet! I’ve always wanted to do it but both my parents are nurses and worry due to the common injuries it may cause- I’m excited to learn though!
Thank you so much for this, Im 15 and starting ballet next year (January) and Im so so excited, I've always wanted to start again around when i was in 5th grade since i stopped when I was 4, Idk why my parents never signed me up way back when I started really wanting to do classes LOL, But not my mom definitely said yes now:)
Thank you so much ❤️ I told my mum I wanted to start ballet but she told me that I probably won’t be able to because I’m too old (14) and too over weight (which hurt especially from my mum because I am average weight) but yeah I still want to do it and I’m very determined
i'm a 15-year-old guy and i recently started dancing. i'm 5'11", 180 lbs, one of the two only boys in the dance school, and certainly the least flexible one out of everyone. my first few classes were complete disasters but i'm slowly improving. the social aspect is definitely the most difficult since how girls socialize is nothing like how boys socialize but i'm slowly warming up to it. thanks for this guide!
thank you sm! ive been looking for a video like this! 💝im 12 but turning 13 in november(so technically im 13) ive been wanting to do ballet for months now and ive been stretching lots! i really want to build up the courage to ask for ballet classes but im terrified of judgement :( im so scared of what people will think of me. i want to do ballet so bad but im so scared if people will think im weird or even stupid for starting so late. im scared if i do classes and everyone has experience, and i don't. i have no experience whatsoever with dance and i feel like girls that start my age at least did gymnastics or something before :( i want to do what makes me happy but anxiety has to get in the way with everything :(
Honestly just go for it if it’s something you really want to do! I was 16 in a class of 8 year olds which definitely felt embarrassing at first but it’s a lot easier to move up levels quickly if you’re older (some of the kids in my class were still learning their right from their left). Don’t be nervous, if anything the younger kids will look up to you for being the oldest. Right now I’d suggest trying ballet classes on UA-cam to prepare for your first class. I was also really anxious when I first started but after a few classes I started to really enjoy it! Good luck with everything, you’ve got this!! 💗💗
Ik this is really late but just wondering did you start? I just wanted to so congratulations even if you didn't start you had the courage to say it here and that was one step closer to actually doing it
i've always wanted to do ballet when I was younger but never tried anything to accomplished it but now i'm 14 trying to learn it lets hope my journey goes good :)
i used to do gymnastics and cheer but i’ve always wanted to do ballet. i went through a huge depressive episode and couldn’t even leave my room, but now i’m doing better and my dream is to join ballet :)
I just started ballet in the middle of the season with my best friend, she is a lot better than me and so is everyone else in the class because they have been doing it for a long time , I hope I can still have fun and succeed
this video has helped alot. im 16 (17 in a month) and Im in a dance class at my school and ive really been wanting to branch out and do ballet on my own so seeing btheres people who started late as well is really cool
Yeah, I’m having this problem. I really want to dance and I’m 13, I did it for about a year when I was like seven, and I just recently started to fall back in love with it. The only thing is these online dance classes are really not helping me and I seek to be in an actual studio but I cannot find any classes for beginner 13-year-olds near me
Yeah not every studio offers beginning teen classes, but if it’s something you’re passionate about you can still take regular beginning classes. You may be one of the older students in the class but you’ll also move up and progress quicker! Once you move up you’ll be with people closer to your age :)
This is such great advice! I do dance at my school in classes but I don’t have the time or money to do it at a studio right now, probably not until next year so do you think 17 would be too late to start?
I've always loved dancing. Started ballet when 9, but left when 11. My school had ballet classes, but they weren't really good, i still managed to improve tho, i was good, and i know because i trained so hard. Now i'm 14 and i miss dancing so much, i had just gotten my first pair of pointé shoes, but didn't have the chance to use it. I've said that i miss ballet to my mom and she said she would search for studios here in my neighbourhood, but then she just didn't say anything all this time.
Oh my god this is literally so crazy because we both started at 9 and quit at 11. Now I’m 14 too and starting ballet AGAIN and I just wanted to say please just search up the city where you live in and then ballet studios. For ex: (your city/location ballet studios) or just search ballet studios near me. Ballet is amazing and you should definitely go for your dreams. :)
16 but i've been dancing since i was little. i used to dance with a studio but had to drop out at age 8 because of financial issues. things have gotten better and ive talked to my parents about dancing with a studio again. i've been dancing on my own since then but obviously my technique, flexibility, etc has taken a huge hit. this was a huge help at soothing my nerves before returning to a studio :3
I'm 15 and SO worried to start, its my dream, and in a month or so hopefully ill be able to get in ballet class, i know im starting later than usually recommended but im gonna try my best! Thanks for the video❤
I’ve done ballet for 1 year when I was seven, and I’m finally starting ballet again, I did my first class today!! It was super scary but amazing too! Finally put away the pressure of starting later than the norm, and it felt so so good !
thank you so much for this video!! i am currently 13 and stopped doing ballet around 9-10 because of the pandemic and also because i was moving, ive moved again to a completely new state and im restarting on monday!! im super excited but a bit nervous, im glad i can listen to this video for help and reassurance. ive done ballet since i was 3 and i remember how much i loved it, it made me so sad to think that i couldn’t do it again or thats its too late. i know 13 isnt that late, but seeing younger people start pointe and stuff is super difficult 😅. i love this video ❤😊
I'm a first year this year and I have always done things like football and basketball since I was 8 but I have always wanted to do ballet and I am finally being given that chance. I for sure will practice this :)
i’m almost 15 and i did ballet for a few months when i was 10 but i stopped doing it bc of my dance class i didn’t liked the people that where in that. but now i would really love to try it again, but i just don’t know where to begin
Hi! I’m 14 I started ballet 2 months ago. I did dance from age 6-11 I believe (I technically took my first dance class in pre school but just some tap lessons) anyways I stopped at age 11 because of Covid because my family was at high risk and also dancing 4 hours a day in a mask is no fun lol. But the past year I was really missing it and I got the opportunity to join a pre professional ballet company so I did! I’m the oldest and tallest in my class and also probably the worst but I’m really trying to not compare myself too much because I know I had a lot of time off where I wasn’t doing dance and although I did do ballet in the time period I did dance I didn’t do a whole lot of it. Now I’m in nutcracker and all the girls my age are in pointe roles like snowflake and sugarplum fairy’s but I have to wait until next year to do those parts! This year I’m on non pointe rolls like soldier and Russian dancer. There are actually a few other girls around my age doing those parts as well so it’s really not bad! I’m just staying optimistic until next year when I’ll be a lot more caught up with the girls who are my age :) Sorry I’m trying to not make this comment super long but I want to add on to the making friends part of dance. For me because I’m placed in a class with younger girls it’s harder to talk to them but I do make some small conversations with them. I’m planning to start making most of my ballet friends next year when I can be in the snowflake and sugarplum scenes with them and I’ll have more opportunities to talk with all those girls my age! Hopefully I remember this comment so in a year I can update everything and how things are doing.
@@Peachzany It’s been going great! I’m on month 9 now, and I’ve learned so much, and I’ve made a lot more friends. I can’t wait to keep getting better though!
hi thank you for this video! im 16 and i played volleyball for 5 years but i recently quit as it was too demanding. I was wondering, what level are you at now? also, how often do you dance a week?
Watching this video makes me feel so much better about starting at 13, i wanted to ask do you think i could become professional even after starting at 13?
i had an injury and couldn’t dance for 5 years, i’m 16 now and i miss ballet so much! i want to go back to ballet but now with AP and honors classes in HS idk how im gonna do it :c
Right now I’m 15 and want to do lyrical/contemporary dance but in order to do that I need ballet lessons first. I’ve never really had a passion for ballet but I need to if I really want to do lyrical
I’m 12 not a teen ager but its still kinda old. I decided I wanted to do balay when I was little i whould dance and twirl and slide on the floor and jump and twirl in the air but when I got older I gave up on it cause it wasn’t something I wanted to really do but now im older and wanted to do it again.al be going to see if I like it at studio with 9 and up year olds so hopefully there’s unither 12 year olds
Hii!! Out of curiosity, did you start ballet orrr are you planning on starting?? Because I'm 17 too and I want to start doing ballet so I'd rlly want to talk to other ppl who're in the same position
@@aday6246 Heyy so crazy thing is that I ended up in Foster care and have been rehomed so many times I haven't been able to do Ballet but if you'd like to talk I can give u my insta
Thank you smm for this! I’ve done ballet since 8-11 years old now I’m turning 14 and I want to start ballet again but the only thing I’m scared and embarrassed about is the fact that I’m going to be at the same studio I was before I quit.
Hey I'd like to know if you already started or not? Cuz I really want to start ballet but I'm kind of scared to regret my choice so I'dlike to know what u think of it (I'm 14)
@@mery261 hi mery! I started taking ballet classes three weeks ago (at age 13), and it is definitely worth it. I’ve been wanting to start for months and it is truly one of the best decisions i made in my life. Just make sure the dance studio you take classes from is rlly good. Good luck on your journey! 🩰
Thank you! I’m 13 and I’ve recently wanted to start Ballet but I can’t find any class that is my age and beginner at the same time so I may not get to pursue Ballet which would be upsetting for me.
i really want to do acro or ballet classes but im 13 now, and all the places that do ballet for my age also require you to do other dance classes :(. I think i'll just go for it and try my best
This might not be answered, but what are some tips to keep yourself practicing and motivated? I want to start ballet again but I remember the reason I quit was because I didn’t practice and put effort in necessarily. Help?
this came in my recommendation, and I’ve been in ballet since I was 4 and (fortunately) haven’t quit yet. I was worried I was going to have to quit over this summer because I lost a lot of weight and muscle but I’m still in!! Still watched the video and took the advice though lol
I’ve been away for 3 years did it when I was 3-12 and my reason for quitting was nonsense so I kinda regretted it. I’m going back tomorrow I’m so nervous and scared but we’ll see how it goes lol Wish me luck 🙏
Thank you so much for this video. I’m turning 17 🏳️⚧️ and I’m a little insecure about starting ballet because I felt like I was too old and I didn’t want to be in an awkward situation where I would have a panic attack and make things uncomfortable
I went to my first ballet class but the bad thing is I why with my bff so every time we looked at each other we both start laughing and I bumped my head two times and I started crying over time bc I was so bad and the others were so good 💀 😭
I’m 14 I started ballet abt 2 weeks ago I’m turning 15 and I’ve been doing dance for 4 years so I’m kind of experienced but I’m behind and I’m super insecure but I’m doing ok Thanx for the tips😁
I did rhytmic gymnastics (5-12) when I was younger but never went to classes just did gymnastics to be flexible i want to do ballet. im 14 now but I'm scared to ask for classes because they get pretty pricey and my flexibility is not the best :/ so im thinking of doing some stretching first but the more time passes, the older i get and the harder it is for me to learn
I understand, definitely start taking classes and see how you like it. Since you’re almost 18 you could probably take beginning adult classes if that’s more comfortable. A lot of competitions only go until age 18 so if you aren’t able to compete I would recommend still doing performances. Also taking dance classes at your local community college might be a great idea because you’ll be with people in your age group that are also just starting and you might get to do performances :)
I’ve been practicing self taught ever since I was three I always wanted to go to dance it was just way too expensive I’m 13 now and it was always worried that people would judge me for starting very late I live in New York so do you know any nonprofitable places
I've been looking to start ballet myself. But I sometimes feel discouraged from doing so because I'm 19 years old :(. Although I do have some experience with ballet thanks to the video tutorials by other ballerinas. But I'm managing college and a part-time job. I fear I won't be able to afford the supplies needed because most of my money is going towards college. Like vanessa, I too, am scared "if people will think I'm weird or even stupid for starting so late." I do have good back flexibility, powerful lower body strength, good ankle flexibility, and decent balancing on my toes. My main issues are flexibility in my feet (this doesn't include my ankles), hip and leg flexibility are so-so, and the flexibility of my hamstrings in my back are also a problem. I also want to go en pointe so badly, but feel I am far too old to do such a thing! Will I be able to train to go en pointe at my age?
I'm almost 19 myself and I started ballet at 17 (even though i had dance experience i used to dance modern and hiphop) so it's never too late to start at any age ❤️
I have always wanted to be a ballerina but I am very tall, fat and was playing the violin (now the cello) and if you are a musician, you know that sports or dances (any physical hobbies instead of table tennis and swimming) are not allowed for me but I want it so badly. And I don't have any stuff for ballet and I know I can ot buy because if someone finds out my cello school career will be over. It is still an impossible dream for me (: I wish I could dance but I know I cannot. But watching those makes me feel happy... Maybe I can start one day..?
Girl it's never too late to start ballet , I have seen a TikToker and she's 20 when she started ballet and she's not skinny but now she dances on stage ,don't give up in your dreams
Thank you so much for this 😊, I’ve done dance since i was 3 but quit ballet at 9. I’ve always wanted to do pointe however and I’m 14 now and think I’m a higher level beginner lol. The only thing i was scared of is just being the oldest and worst
so im 14 and i reallyy wanna do ballet because a few months ago i quit taekwondo because over covid i kinda just lost interest and lost ALL my flexibility so now im not flexible whatsoever and i feel like i just wont be good at ballet 😭
I’m 14 and have never done ballet or dance in my life, but I’ve done figure skating which some say is the tiniest bit like ballet. If I started now would I be in a class with younger children or would it be around my age group?
I started dance when I was 2, but I clicked on this video to get better because my dance teacher has really been pressuring me. I am now 15 (turning 16 in may) and I had the mindset of, "watching a beginners video will help me get better" but honestly now, I realize that's just not the case, you really just have to apply yourself. While these tips are ok, I think that they wont help you give you a ballet career. I have been doing pointe since I was 11, and what help me a lot was applying myself and letting dance control my life which sounds absolutely insane, but it really helped me. The next thing is drinking lots of water. This has many benefits; this may include better mental health, better body, a more strengthened body, etc etc. This also helped me a lot because it helped with my physical health, which can help with balance and precise movement. Next thing is not only stretching every day, but working out everyday, doing ballet and pointe exercises, etc. I hoped these helped!! :) LIKE THE COMMENT PLZ!! p.s, going back to what I said about getting a ballet career, I think that no matter what age you start at, you could get a ballet career in the future, but starting asap would help you get better jobs, auditions, and will help you in the long run. THANK YOU IF YOU READ ALL OF THIS SHIT, I REALLY JUST WANTED TO GET THAT OUT THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!
Hi!! Thank you for this video! I'm turning 16 in March. However I really cannot build up the courage to negotiate ballet classes with my parents as I'm currently fighting an ED and I'm known to be someone who quits hobbies frequently. - Could there be a way I can self-teach myself flexibility and basic ballet forms until I'm 18 and able to find an instructor? - Other than trainer shoes, do you suggest I purchase any other form of ballet uniform/equipment?

@saritalulu how did it go?
How did you manage to get on pointe so quickly?
@@forevelyner6220 I started late when I was 12 but managed to get on pointe fast (14) since when your older with previous sorts experience that help ballet like swimming and running, you tend to have much more strength which also gets better faster. Saying that you do need to have good technique and ballet understanding before doing pointe
@@emilyylfno way im a swimmer and runner! thanks for saying that it is helping me. I want to make it on broadway someday and i havent stepped foot in a dance class i get sooo discouraged but its better to start now than later. (im 14)

hi 💕I just started ballet , I'm 14 and I'm in a class with 10 and 11 yo girls , i just wanted to thank u for making this video , u have no idea how you boosted my confidence and made me feel okay about the age gap between me and my classmates .
also I currently am the worst in the class , because even if I have a lot of passion for this discipline , sometimes comparing myself to the other girls brings me down , but I'll definitely try my best to improve and catch up with the others .
this helped me so much , thank u for sharing your story and some amazing tips , I feel soo much better now 💗
how is it going so far😊
how are you doing so far?
Im 16 in a class with 10 year olds and younger and im so lucky because they are all so nice and I love it
litterally in the car omw to my first class now im a bit nervous but SO exited
how was it? i’m thinking of beginning ballet classes but i’m not too sureee
@@m9yaai started a few months ago and i’ll go ahead and answer if u havent started, DO IT
PLEASEEE give us feedback!!!! I’m 13 and wanna go bug im nervous to gooooo , was it good?
Thank you so much! I'm 16 and always wanted to do Ballet and now I can, as a hobby, but I know if I want some improvement i'll need to focus. You've encouraged me a lot more, thank you! New sub, btw! XxX from Brazil. God bless you🤍
This is exactly my situation! Luv from Canada🇨🇦
so i’m 14 and recently i’ve really been wanting to do ballet. when i was about 3-5 i did ballet and i had to quit because i was moving and it was too expensive. i’m going into highschool and i think i’m not gonna do running anymore but i’ve been rlly wanting to do ballet and dance. i haven’t danced since and i’m scared that i’m going to start ballet and not like it or not be good. i’m also scared that i’m too old to start without any training
Did you start ballet?
It’s so cool seeing people my age wanting to start ballet! I’ve always wanted to do it but both my parents are nurses and worry due to the common injuries it may cause-
I’m excited to learn though!
How's it going now? :)
Thank you so much ❤️ I told my mum I wanted to start ballet but she told me that I probably won’t be able to because I’m too old (14) and too over weight (which hurt especially from my mum because I am average weight) but yeah I still want to do it and I’m very determined
You can do ballet at any age or size, all that matters is that it’s something that you want to do❤️
Good luck!!
prove her wrong 💥
i'm a 15-year-old guy and i recently started dancing. i'm 5'11", 180 lbs, one of the two only boys in the dance school, and certainly the least flexible one out of everyone. my first few classes were complete disasters but i'm slowly improving. the social aspect is definitely the most difficult since how girls socialize is nothing like how boys socialize but i'm slowly warming up to it. thanks for this guide!
thank you sm! ive been looking for a video like this!
@@kierafei9858 thank you sm!! ive told my mom and im going to start soon! your video helped me a lot 💗i feel a lot less anxious tysm
Im the same! Im starting Tuesday next week! (:
Same I’m 12 too and I want to start ballet but I feel like eveyrone will judge me cause I’m ugly and don’t know a thing bout ballet
You’ve got this!! ❤️❤️
updates?
i’m 15 watching 3 years later, i’ve had some dance experience from theater but thank you for the advice still ❤
i used to do gymnastics and cheer but i’ve always wanted to do ballet. i went through a huge depressive episode and couldn’t even leave my room, but now i’m doing better and my dream is to join ballet :)
Good luck! I believe in you.
Just by curiosity are you still in ballet?
Tysm. I rlly wanted to do ballet and now i have the confidence
I do dance at my school in classes but I don’t have the time or money to do it at a studio right now, probably not until next year so do you think 17 would be too late to start?
it's never too late to start :) you could probably even do beginning adult classes if that's more comfortable
Thank youuu ❤❤❤ I used to do dance but I got pulled out cause money was tight and I was pushed into cheer but now I wanna pursue dance
Gurl I'm starting at 16 because it's my dream 🥰 I'm going to make my dream come true
I’ve done ballet for 1 year when I was seven, and I’m finally starting ballet again, I did my first class today!!
It was super scary but amazing too!
Finally put away the pressure of starting later than the norm, and it felt so so good !
I started at 13 and found this video! Tysm ❤️
thank you so much for this video!! i am currently 13 and stopped doing ballet around 9-10 because of the pandemic and also because i was moving, ive moved again to a completely new state and im restarting on monday!! im super excited but a bit nervous, im glad i can listen to this video for help and reassurance. ive done ballet since i was 3 and i remember how much i loved it, it made me so sad to think that i couldn’t do it again or thats its too late. i know 13 isnt that late, but seeing younger people start pointe and stuff is super difficult 😅. i love this video ❤😊
thank you so much I am 13 and have wanted to start ballet for over a year but have been nervous to start
Thanks for the tips!
Started this year. Might go on point next year🤩
I’m just staying optimistic until next year when I’ll be a lot more caught up with the girls who are my age :)
Sorry I’m trying to not make this comment super long but I want to add on to the making friends part of dance.
Hi! It’s only been half a year but how is it going?

hi thank you for this video! im 16 and i played volleyball for 5 years but i recently quit as it was too demanding. I was wondering, what level are you at now? also, how often do you dance a week?
Watching this video makes me feel so much better about starting at 13, i wanted to ask do you think i could become professional even after starting at 13?
Yes many have done ballet later than you and are absolutely amazing
Yes!! You can, Google Misty Copeland, she started ballet at 13 and is now a professional principal dancer at ABT!
I did ballet when I was younger like in my toddler years but my ballet studio banned me for unfair reasons and I now just really wanna do it again
i had an injury and couldn’t dance for 5 years, i’m 16 now and i miss ballet so much! i want to go back to ballet but now with AP and honors classes in HS idk how im gonna do it :c
Thank you. Ever since I was little my dream was to do ballet because of barbie but I never told anyone and now I'm 17 and wanting to do it so badly

Help?
I'm very flexible
this came in my recommendation, and I’ve been in ballet since I was 4 and (fortunately) haven’t quit yet. I was worried I was going to have to quit over this summer because I lost a lot of weight and muscle but I’m still in!! Still watched the video and took the advice though lol
I’ve been away for 3 years did it when I was 3-12 and my reason for quitting was nonsense so I kinda regretted it. I’m going back tomorrow I’m so nervous and scared but we’ll see how it goes lol
Wish me luck 🙏
Thank you so much for this video. I’m turning 17 🏳️⚧️ and I’m a little insecure about starting ballet because I felt like I was too old and I didn’t want to be in an awkward situation where I would have a panic attack and make things uncomfortable

Thanx for the tips😁
thanks so much! I started ballet at 4 and did it until 8 I quit and now I’m 14 wanting to get into it again
Do u get grouped with ppl in ur age?
I’m 18 and doing ballet is my biggest dream
I am a senior in highschool and I want to start dance I would eventually want to compete but scared that since I am almost 18 I won’t be able to
I understand, definitely start taking classes and see how you like it.
Im 15 and starting grade 3 soon with no background
I'm 14 years old and still planning to start ballet. I want to ask if doing yoga everyday can help me prepare for my ballet classes?
i wish i kept doing ballet as a kid
It doesn’t matter what others say just go for it. Anyways did you ever take up ballet?

Wanted to do ballet as a kid now im 17 and i rlly wanna still do it😭😭
I started dance when I was 2, but I clicked on this video to get better because my dance teacher has really been pressuring me.
