- U-Turn For Christ is a biblically-based discipleship program helping men and women seeking restoration from drug and alcohol addiction through our Lord Jesus Christ. Our program is based entirely on the Word of God, the Bible, and all counsel originates from it.
Located in Perris, California, U-Turn For Christ provides a solid grounding in the Bible and good Christian living skills. Over the last 25 years, we’ve seen many men and women become productive, vital members of their community. Our primary focus is to establish or strengthen an individual’s relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only way to experience true freedom from the bondage of the sin of addiction.

I was in U-Turn in 2001 and gave my heart to Jesus at a Harvest Crusade that they took us to. I was then discipled thought the Word and by the ministry and successfully graduated the program. I went back home and fell and for 11 years I struggled to really live free from addiction even returning to the ranch in 2003 when I was pregnant with my oldest son. The foundation that was laid at this program changed my life and in 2012 God delivered me from drug addiction (i was FINALLY ready to surrender to Christ!). U-Turn is part of my testimony and I will always be grateful to Peggy and Jerry for the ministry they stayed faithful to run!!

I heard changes have been made since I went to a working ranch. I was traumatized by a lot of the supervisors behavior and actions. Zero sympathy & zero care for the person who is struggling to stay . The man who called himself a pastor was our leader, but he was not a pastor and ever was .He actually had counseled a man and his wife who wanted help to save their marriage. This pastor started dating her and they were married a year later ! I stayed because I was hungry for Jesus, and I needed to change my life after a couple of years of depression and suicidal thoughts from grief. I finished the 3 month program on the ranch that was only possible with God's help because I didn't feel like I had a word to say without getting into a argument or something.The punishments for the dumbest things that some were not in your control was harsh. I was never punished because I didn't talk. After learning the ranch, I continued to go to church and was Babtized. I asked multiple times about getting babtized there, but they were very focused on the free labor we did in the community. I don't regret it. It made me stronger. I pray that the process is not the same as it was. I can't speak for other ranches across America, only where I went. I praise God. He had a plan, and that was a small part of it. I would recommend that if you're addicted to a substance, go to a clinic or hospital to get help for a safe withdrawal before you go. I truly believe this was an isolated issue with the people who were running the program where I went.God bless you and those who went and were saved ! 🙏
